Kageyama arrives home late but when his mother spots the little smile on his face she doesn't even say a word about the time and just walks over to him to hug her son.

"It went well with Hinata, then."

Kageyama doesn't bother asking how she seems to know that he asked Hinata today and he just nods. It was perfect.

They kissed, they practised with Hinata's new volleyball, they kissed some more and them practiced some more and the cycle went on until they realised that it was getting really late. There was a rush kiss before they both left for their houses as quickly as possible.

Maybe some people wouldn't think that was perfect. Maybe they'd expect for the time to be spent so let kissing and cuddling and being affectionate. Mixing volleyball into all that is ideal for both of them and Kageyama hopes they have many more evening like this. Hopefully with their time managed better, though.

Kageyama hopes that Hinata doesn't get in trouble. He's not too sure what Hinata's parents are like but considering how often they've stayed behind to practice some more he's sure that they won't be able too angry. Hinata wouldn't be stupid enough to ask Kageyama to stay behind for longer so often if he's going to risk angering his parents.

"When will I see Hinata again?" His mum suddenly asks.

Kageyama blinks and looks at the woman, frowning. "What?"

"When are you bringing him round for dinner?" She asks, making a face that suggests he shouldn't be so surprised. Like it's obvious that he'd bring Hinata round for dinner.

"I'm not. Not yet, anyway."

She pouts at that and Kageyama swears she only just manages to stop herself from stamping her foot like a child being denied sweets. "I'm want him to come over for dinner one day."

Kageyama sighs, deciding to give in so he can go to bed. "Okay, mum. I'll ask in a few weeks or something. Give us a chance to... well... um. .. adjust."

It suddenly hits Kageyama exactly what he's talking about and he can't stop the way a blush spreads across his face. It's embarrassing. Having this conversation when he's not even been Hinata's boyfriend long enough to register that he is Hinata's boyfriend.

She smiles widely and kisses his head. "I'm so proud of you, Tobio. Now, off to bed with you. We'll talk more when you're ready."

Kageyama nods and kisses her cheer quickly before he rushes up the stairs and into his room, still completely embarrassed.

Grinning, he changes and then throws himself on his bed. He curls up under the covers and smiles at the corner now void of an orange, gold and white volleyball. He wonders if it's now in the corner of Hinata's room. Maybe he's laying on his bed and looking at it with a smile of his own.

With that thought, Kageyama curls up to sleep. His stomach growls and with a huff he stands to go find some food.

When he gets to the kitchen food has been set put for him but his mother is no where in sight. Smiling, Kageyama sits. As embarrassing as she can, she's lucky to have her.

While eating, Kageyama considers tomorrow. How will Hinata want to act? Is it okay for him to hold Hinata's hand?

Kageyama doesn't mind what Hinata would prefer. He can understand that being open about their relationship may not be for Hinata. He talks a lot but Kageyama has noticed that he doesn't talk much about his private life.

In the end he decides he'll just ask tomorrow. That's all there is to do, really. There's no sense in worrying about it.

Either way, Hinata is his boyfriend.

Kageyama tries to control his smile but he can't. His lips quiver until he just let's himself grin at the thought.  He never thought that being able to officially call Hinata his boyfriend would make him so ridiculously happy.

Kageyama cleans up quickly and heads to bed. Not always but some mornings he'd bump into Hinata on the way to school. Maybe he'll text him to ask if he wants to meet up.

He knows that Hinata lives further away from the school than he does but whether or not Hinata gets up earlier or not he's not sure. Either way, he sends a message before he rolls over to go to sleep.

Even though they're dating he still feels a little weird about messaging Hinata to meet up. His stomach flutters and he can't control his smile once again. Kageyama feels so giddy right now. It almost makes him feel a little shy about texting Hinata.

Kageyama is soon asleep, looking forward to tomorrow. Their first day a couple. He's not sure if he should expect much but he's looking forward to it.

S

ure. Park. 7:00?

Kageyama wakes up to those three words displayed on his screen. He grins widely as he messages back before jumping out of bed to dress.

Hinata's so talkative he's almost surprised how short his text is but Kageyama doesn't have long to dwell on that. He dresses before brushing his teeth and making sure he looks presentable.

He waits until it's quarter to seven so he won't be dragged into eating with his family.

He says goodbye to them on his way out, not giving them a chance to reply before he's out the door and on his way towards the park. He hears his mother shout something as he rounds the corner and one of the words sound vaguely like 'Hinata' and 'dinner'. Kageyama ignores her and continues on his way, eager to see Hinata.

Hinata. His boyfriend.

Kageyama grins uncontrollably and he puts a hand over his mouth. He needs to stop or people will start to think he's a weirdo.

He's first to the park. A little early but he doesn't mind waiting. Kageyama leans against a nearby wall as he waits.

Despite doing his best to ignore his mother her words bounce around his head. If Hinata hadn't already met his parents than he'd think that it's far too soon. Hinata has met them, though. His mum even found they on the floor together in what seemed a very intimate way!

Kageyama blushes at the thought. Stupid dumbass Hinata not moving to the other side of the bed.

"Kageyama!"

Kageyama looks up to see Hinata riding towards him, cheeks flushed from the effort he's putting in. Kageyama swallows and definitely doesn't think about how attractive Hinata looks when flushed. Nope. That is not his train of thought whatsoever.

Kageyama waits for Hinata to come to a stop before taking a few steps towards him. As he kisses the shorter boy all worries about dinner with his parents leave his mind.

Hinata's lips are chapped from the wind and Kageyama probably should have given him a few moments to fill his lungs. Hinata kisses back despite the lack of oxygen.

Kageyama's hands slide to Hinata's neck. He pulls back briefly to allow Hinata time to gulp down a few breathes and then Kageyama is back on him.

He's wanted to kiss Hinata for what feels like forever and now he feels like he can't stop. Hinata tastes amazing. His lips feel perfect even if they are chapped. He smells great too. The small hums and pants that Hinata releases make Kageyama that much more eager to kiss him until he's physically unable to do so any longer.

In the end it's his stupid uncontrollable smiling that means he has to stop kissing Hinata.

The shorter boy is now flushed for a totally different reason and pride skyrockets through Kageyama as his eyes flicker over Hinata's face.

Hinata grins back and laughs softly. "Next time, give me a few moments to breathe."

Kageyama chuckles and nods. "Okay."

"I'm not too sure how I managed to keep hold of my bike." Hinata murmurs, glancing at his bike.

Kageyama raises an eyebrow and shrugs. "Maybe by holding it, dumbass."

Instead of shouting at Kageyama for being called a dumbass, Hinata laughs and pecks his lips. Kageyama decides he prefers that to being yelled at. There's no competition.

"Let's head to school. Practice starts in a little while!" Hinata grins.

Kageyama nods and walks beside Hinata. He glares at the bike's handle bars for requiring Hinata's hands.

Hinata glances over and frowns. "What's wrong?"

Kageyama blushes furiously and shakes his head. "Nothing."

Hinata narrows his eyes at Kageyama, not believing him at all.

"Nothing!" Kageyama insists.

Hinata's nods and doesn't question him but Kageyama doubts he brought it. Hinata smiles happily as they walk in silence.

"Do you want to eat lunch together today?" Kageyama questions when they're a few minutes away from the school, kicking a rock in front of him and not looking at Hinata.

"Don't we normally?" Hinata replies, confused.

"I mean... um. Alone. By yoursel- ourselves! Like... Just us." Kageyama stumbles over his word, feeling more and more awkward.

Maybe Hinata would prefer to sit with the team. He hasn't talked to them all as much as usual. He can't forget Sayuri either. Kageyama isn't sure where she goes during breaks but Hinata will also want to spend time with her.

It's was a stupid question. He should have asked.

Hinata glances over before he grins and nods, slamming Kageyama's doubt into the ground.

"I'll meet you after class!" Kageyama replies, a little too eagerly. Hinata just smiles at him, though. "We can go to the end of the field."

Hinata's face suddenly turns completely red. "K-Kageyama... Isn't that where the couples go to make out?"

Kageyama's eyes widen. "Is it?"

"You didn't know?!" Hinata practically shouts.

Kageyama shakes his head. "We can go somewh-"

"N-No!" Hinata does shout this time. His eyes widen and he looks away, face only growing darker. "I... don't mind the end of the field."

Kageyama can't help but smirk.
