Marinettes POV
I need to go back for my purse, I know I do, but I can't. I can't face that... that, that lying son of a-. I let out a small sigh. That jerk. What was worrieing me more though, was tiki. She wouldn't leave without saying goodbye or telling me where she's going. Also, I still have my miraculous, so where is she? Currently, I'm sat on the water fountain in the park, occasionally dipping my fingers in the water as I retrieved my breath. The park was empty, what with the akuma being around, but it's not like I haven't dealt with an akuma before. I plucked up my courage before standing up straight and heading in the direction of the shop. All I have to do is walk right up, grab my purse and leave. However, when I arrived, my purse was gone. Dang it Chat! I guess I'm going to have to be prepared for a visit tonight, then I'll tell him to get lost. Really though, what does he see in Chloe? By now my sadness had turned into fury, anger, disgust. I stormed back to the bakery, up into the living room/kitchen, up into my room, up again to my bed and finally, pulled myself up onto my balcony. And now I'm out of breath again, great. Just then, I watched Chat Noir jump from rooftop to rooftop, running from the akuma whilst carrying Chloe, bridal style, in his arms. I walked towards the edge of my balcony, to try and get a better look. Hey, if I can't help, I guess I'll just have to watch, at least I get a break. All day, I'd had this terrible itch on my ear, and here it is again, just irritating me more. Cling. I looked down towards the noise. There, in the gutter, was my earring. Two words, not, good. I grabbed the railing and leant over, right onto my toes to try and reach. It was no use. Typical clumsy me, always getting into trouble. I pulled up a chair and stood on it, then climbing over the railing, just being able to have my toes on the edge. Slowly, I lowered myself down, now into a crouching position. I removed one hand from the railing and stretched it down. Still, I couldn't reach. I extended my other arm as well, so as to lower myself as far as possible. A leaf, I would have to have my foot on a leaf. It slipped from underneath me and I went falling.

Adriens POV
I heard a shriek and looked over to see Marinette falling. Just then, it felt like time stopped. I chucked Chloe behind me, sending her towards the akuma, and made a dash for Marinette. She was so close the the ground, but luckily, by now, I was closer. She landed perfectly in my arms. "Gotcha' ". The first thing I noticed, was that tears were rolling down her cheeks. Quickly she wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face into me. Her tears came then, dampening ,my suit. "Stupid, stupid kitty. You're such a jerk.... but, still, i fall for you." She started to chuckle then, not her usual though, it was a sad one. Did she make a, pun? I felt the heat rise to my cheeks, she made a pun! Not just any pun, a flirty pun, to me! I really was screaming inside. She lifted her head up to me, showing her big, bluebell eyes, ruined from her crying. Whilst standing her up straight, I planted a kiss on her forehead. "I'll see you tonight princess, and explain. Now though, I've gotta' run, an akuma to catch, Paris to save, no ladybug, ah things are going just swell right!" I gave that last bit more enthusiasm, I would do anything to see her smile right now. She let out another giggle, a proper one "right". At that, I gave her a quick salute and ran off. One I was on the rooftops, I looked behind me, there she was, standing there, watching. I smiled (not that she could really see it) and waved.

I snapped my attention back to the akuma. Now I just need to get Chloe, again. I re tracked the akuma, following the directions of worshiping people. There. By now, Chloe looked bored, she was slung over the Akumas shoulder, her head I her fists with her elbows on 'Mayor W's back. As soon as she saw me, her face lit up. She blew me a kiss and gave me a wink. "Hey! Over here" I shouted, instantly grabbing the akumas attention. Lasers started firing at me, him coming in closer.(a/n: I think I forgot to say, the akuma floats. So he is above the buildings, that is also why Chat needed to jump from one to get Chloe) I had a plan, but I really needed Marinette. I headed in the direction of her bakery, then once I was close enough, started calling her name. Soon enough, she arose onto her balcony. I made a leap onto her balcony, scooped her up, then continued to run. "Chat, what are you doing?" She questioned. "Marinette, whilst I distract the akuma, I really need you to catch Chloe. Yes, I know she hates you, no, I won't tell you why I know because you'll flip. I also know that I really shouldn't be putting a civilian in potential danger, but ladybug hasn't showed up, and I really need a hand. So, do you trust me?" I finished. I looked at her quickly as she gave a small nod. She didn't argue, or complain, didn't question, just agreed. As we were running, I had been scanning the surroundings, looking for something to help Marinette. "So I really just need you to keep calm and just focus on getting Chloe" I told her, for a moment, she looked confused, but then her face filled with understanding. The akuma was now at my level I height, purrfect. I turned around and headed for something I had spotted on the ground. As soon as I was close to it, I chucked Marinette down and made sure to get out of her aim.

Hi guys, I am so sorry for the delay of this chapter. I was really stuck on how to start it and so spent a day and a half trying to work it out. Other than that, THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE READS!!!!!!! Ahh, I can't, I have no words, apart from these: thank you so so soooooo much. Already I have over 300 reads and it's insane. I am so thankful for a miraculous comic dub appearing in my YouTube recommendations, wondering what it was and then finding out it was some sort of programme. One day, I'll tell you the full story, bc that's just in short. By the way, does anyone ever read this? As in do you read where I just thank you guys and everything at the end?
