Armin's POV

All my life I've never really wanted to find my mate and then immediately fuck them, what Eren and Levi did is the exact opposite of what I would do. I don't like the idea of my love being chosen or forced. Of course if I met my mate I won't reject them but I would take it slow, I wanna fall in love on my own accord, not with the help of the gods. But obviously the gods didn't like my way of thinking since they gave me this for a mate.

I stood glaring at him as he welcomed the Scouts home. He is honestly disgusting! He may seem so calm and collective here to these humans, they probably think that he is even a virgin but they can't smell what I can smell. He has about ten different scents on him, all women, all horny as fuck. He didn't even save himself for me!

What if our mate rejects us?

My wolf Winter says obviously upset and I don't blame him.

'Then we accept it and move on with our lives. No point dwelling on someone with fuzzy caterpillars for eyebrows.'

I already told Mikasa and she's just as pissed as I am. I wonder how Eren will take it? To be honest he'll probably rip him to shreds.

As if on cue Eren appears next to me. I quickly tell him about my mate and he looked about ready to blow, Mikasa and I had to grab his arms before he jumped up there and punched my mate in the face.

"We'll confront him later." Mikasa states and Eren nods in response, honestly I would let him do it but not in front of everyone.

"Looks like all of our new recruits are here. Perfect, I'd like to formally welcome you to the Scouts." He says placing and arm behind his back and one on his heart. The three of us do the same staring at him blankly, he kept looking in my direction. "If you don't mind I'd like to talk to the three of you in private. Commander Hanji has already briefed me on the mission, but there are a few things I would like to ask you."

We nod in response and he continued his speech. After a few words of encouragement he ended the meeting and we followed him to his office. He sat down at his desk while we stood in front of him, he looked us up and down with an odd look on his face. Eren started clenching his fists at the jester. It was disrespect at its finest.

"Alright, which one of you is the alpha?" He demands with authority in his voice, so he's an alpha... Great just what I needed.

"That would be me, and if you called us here to ask me to hand over my beta my answer is no." Eren says smiling with a sadistic look in his eyes. I forgot how creepy he can get but I'm happy he's trying to protect me.

"Actually I wasn't going to ask you that. I was gonna ask you to relinquish your title as alpha. Cause I'm not sharing my territory with one." He says before smiling at me. Does he think this is what I want him to do?! Cause if so he's stupider than I thought!

"Here's the thing, if I relinquish my title you'll be able to take Armin and I can't do anything about it. I'm not letting that happen."

"Fine then. I could easily have Levi thrown into the dungeon for treason, I don't think you want to be the cause of your mate losing everything he's worked so hard for." At those words Eren's eyes were flashing between green and red, he was about to lose it! You don't bring up someone's mate unless you have a death wish.

"Eren please don't do anything stupid, that goes to you to Titan." Mikasa glared dangerously at them.

"Look at you, you have no control over your wolf. Your a disgrace to Alphas." Erwin says smirking in his seat, he's trying to make Eren lose it!

"If you know what's good for you, you'll shut your trap." I said venom dripping with each word. He looked at me in shock not believing that I just said.

"You son of a bitch." His voice was low and very much intimidating. "I'll kill you before I let that happen!" Within the blink of an eye Eren had Erwin by the throat, his other arm centralized and as sharp as a knife.

"Eren stop!"

"Eren you kill him, you kill me!"

"W-what are y-you?!" Erwin wheezed staring at Eren's arm in fear, what happened to his cocky attitude?

"Usually, a wolf shifter. But when you throw my friends and mate into the mix." A dark chuckle radiated through the room. "I'm your worst fucking nightmare!"

"Alpha?"

At the sound of the voice Eren froze, eyes immediately going back to turquoise. In the doorway stood Levi in a large shirt, face flushed with Hanji next to him, Eren immediately dropped Erwin and went to Levi.

"I saw what was happening so I went to get Levi, he's the only one that could calm him down so quickly." Hanji says smiling. I nodded then thanked her before turning my attention to eyebrows, he didn't even notice me coming towards him till I was right in front of him.

'What is he staring at?'

Most likely Eren and Levi.

I turned around and saw Eren littering Levi's face with kisses as Levi hugged his waist. Those two are so sweet to each other, but all cuteness aside I have to focus on him.

"If you thought threatening my Alpha and his mate was gonna make me love you, your sorely mistaken. I, Armin Arlert reject yo-"

"I don't accept." He says still looking at Eren and Levi.

"You either accept or we both die." I say and he finally looks me in the eyes, my whole world froze. Those deep blue eyes, like the deepest part of the ocean. I leaned down towards him...

Suddenly time resumed and I shook my head to force myself back to reality. The gods really know how to lock people in trance but I'm sure as hell ain't kissing him. He sighed and looked away from me.

"All my life I wanted a mate. Just so I could train someone to be just like me so if I die humanity has someone to replace me with." So I was just going to be his own personal breeder? Your not really helping your case bud.

"I'll admit that's a horrible way to think of somebody but that's what my father taught me! But then I look at those two," He says looking back at Eren and Levi. "And I realize maybe there's a little more to mates, I've never seen Levi so happy. So even if you reject me I'm not gonna accept it, I want to give this another try and this time do it right."

I stare at him for a second looking for any traces that he's lying. In the end I find none and sigh.

"Fine, you get three strikes. Don't waste them." I say walking away, Eren and Mikasa stare at me like I'm insane.

"You are too forgiving."

"Way too forgiving."

"Maybe you two are just to cold."

"Well played." With that I smirk and walk out of the room to my shared room with Jean, Marco and Connie. But on the way I start to doubt my decision, maybe Eren and Mikasa were right. What if I am to forgiving?

Our mate is willing to fight for our love, isn't that enough?

'Winter please, he could be lying.'

If he was lying we would've heard his heart skip a beat, and knock it off with that Winter crap! My name is Atreus!

'Whatever you say, Winter.'

Your impossible.

I chuckled and decided to leave him alone, after all that happened he doesn't need me annoying him.

Mikasa's POV

After what just happened everyone went their separate ways. I'm still in shock that Armin gave eyebrows another chance, I wouldn't. But then again mates make you do crazy things, maybe that's why I let mine into my room without question.

"What are you doing here?! You could've been caught!" I exclaim staring at my mate, whose name I don't even know. Plus due to her hood I couldn't see her face, but her scent. It smelled kinda weird but I'm certain it's her... I think?

"You know why I'm here." That voice, not exactly how I imagined she'd talk, she sounds familiar.

"Your gonna reject me. Just get it over with so we can move on with our lives." I say trying to keep myself together.

Something about her doesn't feel right.

"Actually, quite the opposite." She say taking a step forward and I take two back. "I wanna have a little fun with you, good thing you don't share a room with anyone."

My eyes widened, I read in a book my mother gave me that sometimes before shifters reject their mates they beat them up. Especially if they are going to reject a beta, we are seen as commoners in the shifter world where as Alphas and Omegas rule over all. But she wouldn't do that right? She wouldn't... Right?

She reached behind her and pulled out a large dagger, I started to feel sick from just being near it.

It's a sliver dagger... She wants to kill us!

She walked towards me, the intent to kill was clear as day. I started walking backwards trying to go for the door. Halfway there I tripped over my own feet and ended up backward crawling. I could barely breathe, my own mate trying to kill me.

'Eren! Help me! I need you!'

"I'm going to enjoy this." She says as she raised the dagger above her head, I got a glimpse of her eyes... Why are they brown? I thought they were blue.

Before I knew it I heard glass shattering and screaming, my eyes closing automatically.  But I didn't dare open my them again, all the sounds, all terror that was shooting through my body... All the rejection, was to much! Then it all went quite, then I felt a hand on my face.

Mate! Real Mate!

"Shhh. It's okay, your safe now." That voice, so soothing yet so cold. "I have to go now." I immediately grab her hand.

"N-no! Please don't go." I begged, she let out a sigh.

"Don't worry. You'll see me again." With that her presence was gone.

I finally opened my eyes just in time to see a blond haired figure with someone with strawberry blond hair over her shoulder jump out the window. I got up and ran to look out the window, but just as fast as she appeared she was gone... Again.

"MIKASA!!" Before I could even blink Eren and Armin had managed to kick my door down and run in all panicked.

Eren was only in his boxers his hair in all different directions with purple and red spots all over his neck, looks like Levi finally got what he wanted. Armin was just in a large shirt and boxers with his hair going in all sorts of directions,it's obvious he just woke up. I almost feel bad for what I'm about to do.

I walked up to them a drop kicked both of them out of my room.

"Tch! Idiots, you broke my door!"

The Next Morning

"Damn, you guys have horrible luck when it comes to mates." Eren says chuckling at our misery, I just finished explaining everything that happened to Eren while we are breakfast which to be honest. Needs more flavor.

"Ha ha! Very funny! So, what do you guys wanna do today?" Armin asks while sipping his coffee, where he got the coffee from is a mystery to me.

"Well I was thinking about going and exploring our knew territory, get to know where everything is." Eren states as he munches on a piece of bread.

"Sounds good but what about Levi?" I ask hoping Eren didn't forget he had a mate that was in heat.

"We're not going far. Just around the building and back, then when Levi isn't in heat we can go further out." There's a reason this boy is an Alpha.

"Alright, let's go." I say getting up from my seat, Eren and Armin following in pursuit. It's been a while since we went for a run.
