Alexander's Pov~

 "Woah...! This dude has way more security than our president I guess. I mean, come on there are so many of them." Baxter said while we all were walking inside the Knight's mansion along with few security guards.

Baxter was right because at every nook and corner there are guards stationed while set of guard members were also patrolling all over the place.

"Well, he is as important as your Mr. President." Max said with a smirk and I rolled my eyes at his words. Why would he be so important? Who is he anyway?

"This feels.... kind of like royalty. His highness is highly loaded. What business is he into?" Ray asked curiously while even I thought about it.

"I have no idea." I said with a sigh.

"Believe me you wouldn't want to know that. But I assure you once when you know it, you will be stunned/speechless/shocked..." Max was replying with enthusiasm but got interrupted.

"Okay boy calm down." Baxter said while patting his back.

We were made to sit at the main room of the mansion and were waiting for James. At that moment we were looking at the interior of the room. It was very elegant with expensive chandeliers hanging above, modern style interior with beautiful paintings on the walls and a very long staircase at the center leading upward and dividing into two ends. And there he was descending down through those long stairs looking like a ruling king.

"Alexander. Everyone...Please have a seat." He said with a nod as a greeting and sat down.

"Who are you? How did you know that Vince will get away?" I asked him.

"Hey Knight, we've got a problem. It's the Vasiliev's again." A tall foreign guy informed James. He had an accent same like Maximo. Italian...

James gave a sharp look towards the foreign guy and then closed his eyes, he was angry. Clearly we all could see his tensed state too. We just sat there silently, not interrupting their conversation and listening to whatever they were saying to each other. But Baxter's eyes widened and were tensed as well.

"Daryl was the one." The foreign guy said with disappointment.

"The traitor and let me guess...he is one of them now." James said while standing up.

The other guy nodded in response and then sighed. He looked at us and then back at James.

"We will discuss this matter after when our guests are gone. The rest of us have gathered and discussing about the issue."

"Yeah.... I will join you all after this meet." James sat back and apologized for making us wait.

"That was Mr. Marco Romero, the man who killed the famous mafia Severin Dioli. The Severin Dioli - who came here a few years ago to take charge in our country? Killed several Americans and they had set up base but Romero's wiped away all of them and took up their spot. One of the darkest times of America where several children were killed, women were raped, tortured while men were subjected as their slaves. Man it was a nightmare!" Baxter spoke up while Ray remembered that time and I also thought about it. Max was just sitting silently as he knew alot of things which we didn't.

"Yes." James said.

"So you...you Mr. James Knight... You are one of them...Mafia?" Baxter asked with curiosity.

"Yes." He simply replied calmly.

Ray and I, we both were surprised to know that he belonged to the mafia clan. Everything clicked together as to why he knew Vince will escape and he had very strong resources to capture him.

"Vince, Luca and their whole mafia family- we will take care of them. You don't have to worry and your girl will be safe. No danger to your family as well. That's what I wanted to tell you. Take back the police complaint and rest be assured. Now, if you all will excuse me. I have an urgent matter to be taken care of."

Saying that he stood up and turned to leave but Ray asked,

"Are we going to meet again?"

"For safety reasons we will not be meeting with each other until you have certain crisis such as the one now. Maximo, make sure they are safe as you know there is a war coming soon." James said and shook our hands as a goodbye.

'Wait a minute, what about Scarlet's mother? Did you find her?" I asked.

"That was a pure lie. Her mother and father had both died in that car accident. Vince was manipulating with the whole damn thing. Cherry was not aware of it and the truth is her mother is dead."

"He made up all that you mean?" Ray asked angrily while James nodded in response and I was seriously pissed off with this whole thing. Dove was happy to hear that her mom is alive. She so wanted to meet her and was crying the whole night telling me her plan to welcome her home. My god now she will yet again cry for all this. Be sad, heavily hurt remembering her mother as she was hopeful to see her once again alive....

"Now, if you all will excuse me...Take care Mr. Alexander Pearce. Goodbye."

"Goodbye Mr. James Knight."

Saying we left his mansion.

At Pearce Mansion~

"The hell..! He belonged to the Mafia Clan. Oh my god he is freaking Mafia!"
Baxter was rambling on and on the same thing all the way home. Even now, the idiot is still rambling like a broken record.

"How many times more are you going to repeat this? Enough Baxter... We all are aware of it now so stop." Ray said while slapping the back of his head.

"You have no idea buddy but that guy back there.... The Romero...he...he....is kind of a legend. Yeah I know he is a mafia but still. He saved the weaker section of our society and claimed a lot of respect for himself being a native of Italy. You do remember those dark days right? Back when they had a fight between Romero and Dioli, so many of the innocents died and the government did nothing. They were powerless in front of these Mafia guys. I so wanted to meet him and I got to do that today but what I didn't expect was that James was a mafia too. Wow!"

"Oh so you were having a fan moment or something?" Max asked chuckling.

"Totally...!" Baxter said while grinning.

Idiot!

We all discussed the matter with dad, Ashton and Derek. They were shocked to hear all about it but glad that everything turned out alright without causing more harm to anyone. We all had gathered around in the patio area.

Now the most heartbreaking matter was when I told my Dove about her mother. She was on tears and I somehow comforted saying her mom will always be there within her and she is proud of her daughter for whom she is today. Sera came and sat beside my right as Dove was sitting in my left, she was as sad as her sister. Hence, I hugged them both and comforted them. Taylor and Estelle quickly came towards us and grabbed both the girls besides me to cheer them up. They headed towards the front of the house where Ethan and Emily were playing around along with my mother in the garden.

"So...I don't understand why was James helping us so much?" Ashton asked with a thought.

"Well, I asked him to. Luca Donati had messed up his deal once due to which he lost one of his family members very recently. Obviously he won't sit quiet for that matter and was waiting for an opportunity to strike. When I told him about our situation he was happy to help. I guess by now both of them are dead. Good riddance!" Max said.

"So you're saying this guy is untouchable. He can murder or do anything but the law will never punish them?" Derek asked this time with an interest.

"Mafia clans are the strongest groups which no law can get them behind bars. They are kind of rulers, dangerous if involved and lifeless if you be a part of their family. Mafia are called heartless humans of this world but they've got a code i.e. protect their family." Ray said as he is pretty much aware of such people. He has friends who are into FBI and undercover agents who deal with such ones.

"Feels like pretty badass to me!" Derek said with a smile.

"Oh you wish. It's pretty from outside but being into a mafia is not a piece of cake kind of thing. It's dangerous and kind of survival of the fittest thing." Max said with a serious look.

"Hey what war was he talking about back there?" Ray asked curiously.

"A war..?" Ashton asked alarmed.

"Are we all in trouble?" Derek asked and I could see dad was really worried with all these mafia talks.

"Is this acquaintance with James going to put us all in trouble in near future?" Dad asked with concerned etched face.

"Be assured sir, no one will be in danger. They won't let anyone harm you guys. If you are in trouble by any chance because of them then they will protect you with their life." Max said with a reassuring smile.

"I don't like the sound of it, Mafia protecting us and what about the war?" Ray asked annoyed and even I wanted to know that.

"It's for world dominance; mafia people have a craze for power. They have this aggressiveness to take on the world and rule it like a king. There are several clans from different part of the world to be that ruler. The Dominant Clans are: Russia, Britain, India, USA and Japan. Ruler can be only one and now these clans are going to clash for that one power which leads to have world dominance, giving immense authority to rule the world mafia."

"What? Is this a joke? We never knew anything about this. Feels like a novel series from a famous author coming to life." Derek said with a frown.

"You are saying....this is like World War all over again." Ashton said with a thought and continued.

"And in this war people like us...normal people, innocent children and all will die. What is wrong with these people?"

"This war basically will take place no matter what...like it will be an alternate universe all together. They have territories. They have set up societies separated from our normal living area. So it's their people who will have impact rather than us. People who are poor, weak, have no money to live a luxurious life and completely depend upon them. People like us will only have small impacts because we can afford security and take help from law."

Ashton was staring at him angrily now because he meant the same. Innocent people will die. Dad was sighing and was thinking about this problem more intensely. Ashton must be even planning to make a strategy to keep family safe while Derek was also thinking all worried about it. Ray was also tensed regarding this.

"I know. People will die especially innocents. Heck, even if they survive it will be a problem if the ruling power comes into the wrong hands. They are seriously doomed. That's why we have four families working together to take on the ruling power, change the rules and have minimum impact of the war. Balance out the equations among each of the countries to live in peace."

"Who are they?" This time I asked him with curiosity, four families which can help us to attain peace. That's huge.

"You have already met two of them." Max smirked. Ray figured it out and it clicked me too.

"Oh! Him... Them." Father, Ashton and Derek also yelled in response.

"Yes they are The Knight's, The Romero's, The Benson's and The Stark's. They are the four families working together to attain world peace among the mafia clan. I believe in them and they will." Max said with all seriousness and in a firm voice.

"The Stark's families are one of the strongest business families who are known for a long time. They have strong hold on Scientific & Technological inventions, which they develop to help the government to use for various purposes. While on the other hand The Benson's are relatives of the royal family in America and prepare Arms & Ammunition for the government plus other business in commerce sector. My god they are part of this. I had no idea." My father said and was surprised to hear this.

"Well, yes they are famous business families but have strong frienship among each other for centuries." Maximo said with a chuckle.

"Wow. So who are the Knight's?" Derek asked.

"They are one of the royal families in America. The first royal Mafia blood who aren't the bad guys here. The Knights were the royal ones, stepped out literally ignoring the society, helped the poor and deserted people from the slavery of evil people. They fought for the rights of those weaker sections of society and formed a whole territory with secured houses for them. They brought a major change forming much more like these in various states plus used royal power to protect the people." Maximo said with pride and respect.

That's a whole lot of information on this whole mafia thing. But the coming war is ....well...unsettling. We all where pondering upon all these matters and wanted to discuss more but a sweet voice of my mother interrupted us from further discussion.

"Boys....Dinner is ready. Oh come on now, it's too late and we all are starving."

That said we all chuckled and went ahead to have our dinner...a complete family dinner.
