..........ENTRY #1............

Kageyama had never skipped practice before. Not once in his life. Volleyball was what he lived for. It was the reason he woke up in the morning and went to bed at night. It was basically all her ever thought about (besides Hinata of course).

So when Kageyama found himself too sick to get out of bed he felt his whole world come crashing down. Gingerly he took off the covers and put his two feet on the ground, only for his room to spin around him. He groaned and sat back down, focusing on the volley ball he has bought Hinata. The orange and white colors that reminded him so much of his best friend seemed to stop dizziness. In a world of craziness, Hinata was his rock. The only solid thing he could lean on.

"Muuuum!" Croaked the setter, and in a few seconds his mum came rushing in, looking at her pale and shivering son.

"Kageyama!" She exclaimed, hurrying to her little boys side. She gently pushed him into a laying position and pulled the covers around him. "You look awful honey."

Kageyama laughed, but it soon turned into a harsh cough, which made his mum worry even more.

"I'll call the school okay? You just get some rest." She kissed her sons head, her lips burning at the heat coming off of his forehead. Before his mom had even left the room kaegema was asleep.

*

Kageyama had never skipped practice before. That's what shocked Hinata when morning practice had ended and their was no sign of his friend.

Kageyama and Hinata had both decided to stay friends for now. They didn't wanna ruin the friendship they had, or worse some how ruin volley ball for each other. So friends it was. But that was okay. They still had each other.

"Hey shoyo!" Tanaka looked at his shorter friend. "Where's your boyfriend?"

Hinata's cheeks heated up. It wasn't long before most of the team had found out about the kiss in the cave. Tanaka had given his little buddy a high five. Daichai had shook his head and handed Yamiguchi ten bucks. Suga had proceeded to give the team a lesson in safe sex, which was quickly cut off by the couch and sensei.

The small boy shrugged. "I dunno." Tanaka rolled his eyes.

"Skipping practice, that asshole."

"Kageyama isn't one to skip though." Suga said coming out of the gym and heading to the changing room. Hinata shrugged again and thought to himself: I hope he's okay.

* * *

Hinata peeked his head into Kageyama's class room multiple times that day, only to find his friend hadn't showed up to school at all. Worry started gnawing at his insides, slowly picking the small boy apart.

By the time after noon practice had rolled around Hinata was jumping up and down with anxiety.

"What if he is dead?" He asked noya, then turned to tanaka. "Or moved without telling us?! What if he joined a new team?!"

Daichai laughed and shook his head as he pulled on his knee pads. "Why don't you head over to his house, make sure he's okay."

Hinata cocked his head to the side. "You mean right now?"

The captain nodded. "Go ahead. If you're worried about your boyfriend you won't be able to play volleyball anyways."

Hinata's cheeks heated up. "He's not my boyfriend!" He yelled, earning a chuckle from tsukki.

"Oh please, you're so gay it hurts."

"I know you are but what am I?"

Tsukki smirked and headed out of the room, Yamiguchi hot on his tracks.

"Just go check on him okay?" Suga asked sweetly. "You aren't the only one worried."

Hinata nodded, suddenly full of determination. "Right." He saluted at his senpies before sprinting from the room and to his bike. It felt different without kaegeama running by his side, edging him on with the need to run faster.

The spiker started towards his friends house, peddling faster then he ever had before. It wasn't long before he reached Kageyama's house. Hinata gently placed his bike on the ground and rang the door bell.

*

/ding dong/ Kageyama groaned and buried his head in his pillow, to tired to get up.

His mum had left to get him some cold medication, leaving the sick boy all alone.

ding dong went the door bell again, causing Kageyama to groan again, and slowly sit up. "Coming!" He screamed, and then clutched his aching head. Who ever was at the door was about to get some serious scolding for waking him up.

The bell rang three more times while Kageyama was on his way down the stairs and to the front door.

"What do you-" he asked, opening the door when suddenly he collapsed.

*

"Kageyama!" Hianta exclaimed, just managing to catch his friend, who was a trembling, shivering mess despite his burning hot fever. "Are you okay?"

"No you dumbass." The setter groaned, and tried to stand on his own. Luckily his friend was there to help him up and Hinata gently pushed Kageyama inside.

"That's it back to bed!" He commanded. The small boy had been to Kageyama's house once before so he knew his way around as he headed towards the stairs and into Kageyama's bedroom. Carefully Hinata laid his friend down, smirking at the sheets that were littered with volleyballs. What a nerd he thought.

"I see that smirk!" Kageyama rolled his eyes, and coughed weakly. Hinata just chuckled and pulled the covers up around Kageyama. "What are you doing here anyways? Shouldn't you be practicing?"

"daichi told me to take the day off, so I decided to come and check on you." Now it was kageyama's turn to smirk.

"Couldn't stand to practice with out me?" he chuckled. Hinata rolled his eyes.

"yeah well I'm not very good without you."

..........ENTRY #2............

Based off Pas De Deux by dodie clark

Hinata's a spiker. Just turned 16. Stares at girls who wear glasses in look magazine.

Hinata went to Karasuno highschool with his fellow volleyball team mates. He loved to spike and feel the ball hit his hand. He loved his friends on the team. But most of all he loved Kageyama, the person in the world who meant the most to him.

Here comes Miko, glasses and all. Flowers in hand and ambush her plans it's not hard to fall.

When hinata realized he was in love with the person who meant the most to him, he freaked. He couldn't handle it. but there was Miko. She was okay, even if she was mean to her best friend. She liked hinata, and that was enough for him, a boy who never believed anyone could love him back.

He's walking on rivers. She lifts him above. He's full of belonging and so full of love.

At first everything was okay. Hinata expected Miko to be an awful person, but she wasn't what everyone made her out to be. She showered the small boy with kisses and hugs. She made him feel wanted more then ever.

Things get a bit louder. Miko's focused on plans. Her smiles replaced with an aggressive face, but he'll still hold her hands.

Now Miko started yelling at Hinata. It was over little things. Always over little things. "You didn't get me coffee when you were out!" or "why do you have to spend time with your sister?" but that was okay, because Hinata found someone to love him. He still held her hand on the way home each night and kissed her under the stars but it didn't feel right.

Now he's given up volleyball. Miko says he's too old. She says focus on me, but he disagrees now he does what he's told.

"You're in highschool!" She would scream. "You're too old for that! It's just a club. It won't matter in a few years! Just quit." So hinata did. He stopped going to practice. He didn't wanna upset his girl friend, perhaps the only person who would ever love him.

Are you walking on egg shells? And when push comes to shove are you full of belonging, not full of love?

Without volleyball hinata was half a person. He was a broken glass that was slowly leaking out all of his happiness. He couldn't cope. After he kissed Miko good bye each day he broke down in tears.

Back at the gym, where was told not to go, feeling sick with guilt the tension builds and he opens the door. And what else would be there, then strong bodies, lacking in worry playing volleyballs.

Hinata peeked his head through the window in the gym and watched his teammates play. Everyone seemed down. Less energetic. Even tanaka wasn't his same old self, and it took a lot to phase him. Guilt clawed away at hinata's insides. I'm the reason everyone's like this, he thought.

I'm what's right, yeah this is what's right. Souls and hearts and minds intertwined no I wont be defined by her anymore.

Seeing Kageyama broke his heart. He was sitting towards the side of the gym, head down. He was panting heavily, and rubbing his feet as if he had just gone for a long, hard run. No one bothered him. Not even the captain. It was like they all knew how much Hinata's absence was affecting him. Poor Kageyama was all-alone in the corner.

Are you walking on eggshells? And when push comes to shove are you full of belonging, not full of love?

With shaky legs Hinata pushed open the gym door, and managed a half smile. It was a broken, beaten down smile but a smile nonetheless.

"HINATA!" Noya screamed, and jumped on his younger friend, ignoring the way he stumbled when before he would have been able to hold his ground. Next was suga angrily shaking his shoulders, then embracing the baby crow, then shaking him again. Everyone took note of the bruises on Hinata's arms and legs. Everyone saw the dark circles under his eyes. But no one saw Kageyama open the other door and slip outside.

So goodbye to Miko and hello to Kageyama.

After a quick practice Hinata stopped by Kageyama's house, knocking on the door frantically. When the spikers mom opened she let him up the stairs.

"Kageyama!" the small boy screamed, scaring his friend.

"Hinata-what are those bruises?"

he doesn't wear glasses but he loves how he spikes and he'll hold her hand.

The two boys went steady a few weeks later, not really surprising much of the team.

Yes hinata's a spiker, with plans of his own. You'll see him and his partner preforming a quick at the old studio. He's walking on rivers. He lifts her above. They're full of belonging and so full of love. Yes so full of love.
