Chapter 7- Promises
(Ciel's POV)
Sebastian rips off what's left of Alois' clothes down to his undergarments. I almost vomit at the sight. Several deep knife slashes go across his body. Alois' bloodstained skin looks pale. Even Sebastian takes a deep breath. He pulls out a needle and thread.
"In case,...in case he wakes up during this, hold him down please," Sebastian mutters. I kneel down in the blood and grip his wrists. Sebastian pushes his sleeves up and begins to sew fiercely. Halfway through, Alois' eyes suddenly burst open.
"STOOPPPP! YOU CANT TAKE HER!" He screams. I hold him down, but he makes no effort to break away.
"He's delusional. He's not consciously doing this. Blood loss," Sebastian explains as he finishes the second knife wound.
"Where is he taking her!?" I tell into his emotionless face.
"THE MANOR! HE WANTS TO STAIN THE PHANTOMHIVE CARPETS RED WITH HER BLOOD!" He half screams, half sobs.
I turn to Sebastian.
"Go my lord, no human could take Alois to the hospital as fast as he needs to. Don't make me regret not going save ________ myself." After a moment of pause, he whispers,"Please, we both couldn't live without her smile."
I release Alois' arms and stand. Alois looks dead, but only the twitching of his fingers give away the charade. I open the metal door. The horses still stand where we left them. I pull myself up, and turn the horse in the direction of the manor. My horse, before long, begins to slow. I've already left London, so the roads are near empty save for the occasional mule. I don't dare let the horse go any slower.
Finally, the mansion comes into view. I stop the horse directly in front of the doors. I jump off the horse. Mud splatters everywhere as I land. I tear up the steps and slam open the door.
"________! ________!? Where are you!?" I yell into the manor. I swear as I see pieces of ________'s gorgeous dress on the stairs. I run over to it and pick it up. It's stained with fresh blood. I run up the stairs.
"Ciel!" I hear ________ scream.
"________!?" I yell. Another scream answers me from the direction of my bedroom. I pull on the doorknob. It doesn't budge. Another scream, even more painful sounding, gives me the strength to kick down the door. ________'s dress is in shreds and Claude is holding a bloody knife over her bound body, and then I see it, the blood streaming from several wounds on her stomach.
"Ciel!" She sobs. "It hurts! Stop the pain, please!"
Before Claude can react, I have him pinned to the ground. I attempt to wrestle the knife from his grasp, but Claude is putting up a good fight. I wrench the knife to a position above Claude's chest. It's down to our bare strength.
And Claude is winning.
(Your POV)
I can't even feel my wounds anymore. Claude has beaten, groped, and cut me. I feel like I deserve to die. Because of me, Ciel might die before my eyes. No, he won't. Slowly, I rise up. Blood continues to stream from my cuts. My vision flashes black. I stumble over to the fight, my hands still bound. Ciel is struggling to push the knife into Claude's chest, but he's losing. I kneel beside Ciel. I wrap my hands over Ciel's. And I begin to push the knife closer to Claude. His eyes flash pink just before the knife enters his chest. Blood quickly spreads over his white shirt.
"I should have slit your throat when I had the chance, you ugly pathetic girl," he snaps before his life fades, and then he's gone for good. Ciel rolls off of him. I smile at him, my Ciel, laying there. In the fight, his eyepatch had fallen off, and his eye beamed at me. I clutch my bare, bloody stomach. Blood instantly covers my hand. I collapse. Ciel snaps up and in seconds he's cradling my head and ripping the sheets within reach and binding them around my cuts.
"It's no use," I whisper, knowing full well that a person doesn't lose this much blood and live.
"No, no! I love you!" He began to rock me back and forth. "You need to become Lady Phantomhive. You need to grow old and watch our children do great things. You don't deserve this. No."
"Ciel, I...I love you. I love you so much. Promise me that you will be okay after I'm gone."
"You are not leaving me."
"Promise!" I hold his hand tightly.
"I promise."
I slowly begin to lose consciousness. My grip loosens. As if he is shouting from miles away, I can distantly hear Ciel yelling and then everything is black.
