*15* Yours
Next monday~
Adrien had taken Marinette home Friday, after he had gotten home from school. His mom had suggested she stay at there home for the day, to keep her away from the stress of school.
They hung out at her house for awhile, just spending time, getting to know eachother. They found that they we're falling in love even more, as the day went on.
All too soon, Adrien had to go, and Marinette was by herself for the weekend. Her parents still weren't home.
She spent her time cleaning, organizing, and thinking about Adrien. She couldn't get him out of her head.
Little did she know, Adrien was the same. His head full of thoughts of Marinette. He really liked her, loved her even.
If someone would have told Adrien. "one day, you'll fall for a city girl." He would have laughed so hard he cried. But now, all he would cry about is if she left.
The image of her in his head made him smile.
Before they even knew it, it was Monday.
Marinette
She woke up early, rubbing her eyes and looking up at the ceiling. She got used to the morning sun peeking through her window.
She smiled to herself, climbing out of bed. There was a rat's nest of hair on her head, and slight bags under her eyes.
She yawned, stretching her arms above her head, and plopping down in front of her mirror.
I'm gonna be me today. Brooklyn has no power over me.
She brushed out her hair, pulling the knots out. Her hands glided through the soft locks, pulling them into two loosely braided pigtails. She got up and went to her bathroom, turning on the faucet.
She pumped a bit of facial cleanser on her hand, rubbing it into her face.
She splashed water on her face, making sure all of the wash was gone. She glanced over to her makeup bag, reaching into it. She pulled out her eyelash curler.
She curled her lashes, squeezing the tool down on them. The lashes were long and black, perfectly shaped.
She put the curler back into her bag.
Her hand reached for some foundation....but she stopped. Her hand retracted, and she walked out of the bathroom, and over to her dresser.
She picked out a pair of light pink jeans, a white tank top and a tan cardigan. She tied up her converse and looked at herself in the mirror.
And she didn't feel so insecure.
Time for some breakfast.
Adrien
He woke up, stretching his arms and scratching his back.
He got ready quickly, due to waking up fairly late.
He threw on a t-shirt, and a pair of tattered blue jeans.
He met his mom downstairs, helping her cook eggs and sausage. They ate together and talked about random things and their plans for the day.
It was nice to spend family time with someone.
After they ate, Adrien went upstairs to brush his teeth, and comb his hair a bit, considering it looked like a hurricane hit it.
He gathered his school stuff, and went on his way.
Marinette
She went downstairs and grabbed a granola bar from her cabinet. Her mind trailed off, thinking of Adrien. Why had they kissed?
Usually she would feel embarrassed about something like that....but....She wasn't.
If anything, she felt excited. He could be the one.
She ate the bar and went back to her bathroom, brushing her teeth. She examined herself in the mirror one last time before heading outside and down the driveway.
The same old rusty bus pulled up just as she reached the end of the dirt path. She waved at the man, who nodded with a smile.
She climbed into the interior, walking down the aisle a bit to a seat near the front.
A little ways back was the midnight haired girl. The girl Marinette had disregarded just days before. The one she did nothing to help. A lump of guilt made its way into Marinette's throat.
The girl, who's name she believed to be Lydia, was sitting, knees to her chest. Looking like a skeleton. She had her hair tied up again, strands dangling in her face. She wore the same gray hoodie, and a pair of leggings. This time, they had a hole in the knee, exposing her thin leg. She almost looked as if she had gotten skinnier.
Marinette wondered how she was even surviving.
Marinette had never struggled like that before, and she felt like something was tugging on her.
The blonde girl from before, was sitting right across from Lydia. Chewing her gum obnoxiously.
"Gosh Lydia shouldn't you be in a graveyard by now?" The girl laughed, along with most of the other kids in the bus.
"Oh wait, even hell wouldn't except you" the bus shook with the laughter and taunting.
Marienettte couldn't take it anymore, it wasn't fair that this poor girl was being treated like trash. She wasn't waiting to be thrown away. She didn't deserve that, no one did.
Marinette stood up abruptly, and marched her way to Lydia's seat. Lydia was pressed against the window, staring out of it.
Marinette plopped down on the edge of the girls seat, still giving her room to move around.
Lydia looked over, her eyes widening at the bluenette.
"Hell sure would except you though, that's where most demons go." Marinette stated, smirking towards her.
The bus laughed,
The blonde scoffed.
"I am not a demon, I've dated nearly every guy in this school. That makes me on a higher social level than you." She flipped her hair off of her shoulder, giving Marinette a 'beat that' look.
"Honey, that just makes you a hoe." Marinette pointed out.
The bus was roaring with 'ooooohhhhh' and laughter.
"Ugh. You're really pushing my buttons girl." The blonde snarled.
"Good maybe I can find the mute." Marinette shot back.
The blonde scoffed again, turning in her seat to face her other blonde friend.
The rest of the bus chattered, and chuckled over The conversation.
Marinette turned to Lydia, giving her a warm smile.
"Thank you..." Lydia spoke. Her voice was a bit raspy, probably due to how sick she was.
"No problem. I'm Marinette." She held out her hand to shake, which Lydia hesitantly took.
"I'm Lydia." She told the blue headed girl.
"Who's the blonde?" Marinette asked.
"That's Stephanie. She's been targeting me for years." Lydia sighed, tucking her chin into her knees.
"Don't worry. If she ever messed with you again, you can talk to me." Marinette told her, her voice calming the girl.
"Really?" Lydia asked, uncertain if she could rely on Marinette.
"Really." Marinette smiled, and for the first time in a long time, Lydia did too.
They continued to talk about random things, just enjoying the moment, all the way until they arrived to school. You never would've known the girl really loved to sing.
They ended up exchanging numbers, in case Lydia needed someone to talk to. They went their separate ways, departing with a wave and a smile.
And Lydia was able to walk away, not feeling so useless for once.
*******
Marinette grinned to herself the whole way to her homeroom.
She felt like she had made someone feel good.
She walked into her class to see Adrien, and Nino. Since Nino was back, the seats changed slightly, but Marinette ended up sitting next to Adrien anyways.
"Hey there smiley. What's got you so happy?" Adrien chuckled, watching as Marinette out her bag on the ground and took her seat.
"Nothing much. Just having a good day." Marinette smiled, looking at the teacher as class began to start.
Adrien studied her outfit, her style seemed to fit her more today, and she seemed to be acting like herself. He was relieved she wasn't thinking about others opinions.
She didn't have to deal with Brooklyn either, since she ended up getting suspended after her stunt.
Adrien's mind was clear.
I love this girl.
Adrien desperately tried to talk to Marinette, but no class really have him the time to have a conversation today.
He sighed and waited til lunch.
Adrien went through the line, grabbing a lunch tray of whatever they were serving. He ended up with chocolate milk, a greasy burger, some corn and mashed potatoes.
He eagerly sat next to Marinette, who was waiting for him at an empty table. He sat down so quick, you could almost hear the air woosh around him.
"Woah there cowboy. What's got you in such a rush?" Marinette giggled.
Adrien blushed, scratching the back of his neck.
"Well....uh...." Adrien struggled to find the words.
She laughed, cutting him off. He chuckled a bit himself.
"Don't strain yourself. Anyways, want a croissant?" Marinette asked, handing him the buttery delight.
"Of course!" Adrien's lips curved into a huge smile.
He took the croissant, taking a huge bite out of it.
"Marinette, you're the best."
Adrien said.
"Oh is that another nickname?" Marinette's eyes lit up, she loved those complements from him.
"The best?" Adrien chuckled.
"Oh I can do better than that." he stated.
"Oh yeah?" Marinette challenged.
"Like what?" her eyebrows went up in a playful manner.
"Can I call you......" Adrien smirked.
"Mine?"
Marinette's face turned bright red.
Her cheeks were hot, her expression shocked, but also ecstatic.
She wanted this. It was clear now.
I love this dork.
"Yours." she said with a smile.
The End
*****************************
Ok. Wow. I did it.
I know this ending is kinda stupid, but I didn't want this story to be like the rest.
Like when the main character falls in love and they get asked out, but the story continues.
I thought it would be cute if it ended with Adrien asking Marinette out.
Also, I didn't want this story to be too long, because I never intended it to be.
But anyways......I really hope you enjoyed this story❤❤❤❤❤
