KHUSHI

I was seated in front of Aditya in one of the most expensive hotels, once I gave him the good news of me getting work at the AR Designs, he was so happy for me he wanted to celebrate and so he brought me here for a date.

If I could sum up in a few words, Aditya was the perfect boyfriend, he was the kind of a guy every girl would dream of, he was pretty hot, he had beautiful eyes, he knew how to treat a girl right, he always understood my work commitments and everything, he was usually understanding of everything, he gave me surprises, took me out on dates and did everything to make me happy.

He was such a great man but despite it all, I don't know why I never felt anything like love towards me, maybe the issue wasn't him but me, because honestly he was so perfect and if I couldn't fall in love with a guy like him, I think my heart wanted someone a bit imperfect to fall for.

But anyway I kept on trying, hoping that maybe one day I'll wake up and realize that the casual relationship between Aditya and I wasn't casual anymore and that I was in love with him.

"Where are you lost gorgeous?" Adi waved his hand in front of my face, I looked at him and smiled.

"Nowhere, just think how perfect you are." I smiled at him.

"Imagine I'm this perfect as your boyfriend, how perfect would I be as your husband?" He winked at me.

"Adi... you know I'm not that serious about this relationship." I said.

"I know, I know, you don't love me but you're still with me trying to fall in love with me and all that but it doesn't matter Khushi because I love you.

I know this relation doesn't mean as much to you, and maybe someday you'll find some guy you'll actually fall for and maybe it's not me, but as long as I have the chance to try, I'll keep trying hoping you'll fall for me." He smiled.

"Is this even a relationship?" I laughed.

I mean in relationships weren't people supposed to be sure that they were going to end up getting married someday or be sure their partner won't leave them?

The relationship between Adi and I wasn't any normal kind of a relation, it was kind of complicated, I knew what I wanted and he knew it too and yet he was trying hoping that someday it was going to be a normal one, I wanted that too but I wasn't sure.

"Forget about that, let's enjoy life as long as we're together, who knows someday a prince charming might come and take you away from me." He laughed.

"You are right, let's talk about something else." I smiled at him, and just then the waiter came with our food, the beautiful aroma was already making me so hungry.

As soon as the waiter walked away, I served myself and started eating like crazy while Adi stared at me admiring me.

"Slow down Khushi, the food isn't running away." He laughed at me.

"What if it does, I can't risk." I giggled as I continued eating until I was disturbed by a tap on my shoulder, I turned my head to look behind and to my surprise, Arnav was standing behind me.

"Khushi, what a pleasant surprise." He smiled at me.

"It is a surprise, how come you're here?" I asked.

"Oh it's my usual thing, roaming from one hotel to another every night for dinner, I don't usually cook at home." He said. Strange, dint he have a family or something waiting for him for dinner?

"Oh I see, by the way, this is Aditya Kapoor, my boyfriend." I said realizing Adi was with me too, and I had to introduce him to them man I was going to work with.

"Hello Aditya, one lucky man you are." Arnav said as he brought his hand forward, Aditya shook it with his and thanked him.

"So, how about you join us for dinner?" I asked, I kind of knew Aditya wouldn't like interruption but he was alone here and I just kind of felt bad for him.

"Thank you for asking but I don't want to spoil your beautiful date, have fun you two." He smiled as he walked towards a table that was opposite ours and settled down, he picked up the menu and started reading it.

"Who was he?" Aditya asked.

"You don't know him? He's Arnav Raizada, the owner of AR Designs." I said.

"I had no idea he was this young, now I am kind of insecure, what if he's the prince charming that takes you from me." Adi pouted.

"You're funny Adi, we're just working together, nothing like that is going to happen besides I'm really hoping I can feel this love thing for you, you're the perfect one for me, I don't think anyone would ever understand me like you do." I laughed at him.

"I hope so." He smiled as he held my hand and kissed on it, I looked towards Arnav's table and found him staring at us silently, once our eyes met he smiled and the next moment a waiter walked up to his table so he started talking to him and I concentrated on my date.

I took another bite of my food as my eyes went on Arnav again, he was staring at his phone, I kind of felt bad for him that he had to be here having dinner all alone, as for me I'd never had dinner alone, if no one else, Ananya was always there, I couldn't eat without a company and Arnav seemed kind of lonely.

I wondered whether he had a family or he was just like me living all alone, but he was really hot, and he was also the owner of such a huge company, he was clearly the most eligible bachelor in town so how come he dint have a girlfriend?

Or maybe he did, she must have been busy or something. I shrugged as I looked back at my food again, why was I even thinking so much about his life? Everyone had their own imperfect life and they dealt with it on their own.

"You want any dessert?" Aditya asked once we were done with the dinner.

"No, I'm full you can order something for yourself though." I said.

"I'll have you for my dessert." He winked at me as he gestured towards a waiter to bring the bill while I giggled, at times he said such cheesy lines.

Once the waiter came with the bill I reached out for my purse but he grabbed my hand and looked at me strictly.

"I know we decided to pay for dinners turn by turn, and I'm the open minded kind of a boyfriend so I don't mind my girlfriend paying bills but this was my treat for you so let me pay today, you can pay next time." He smiled at me.

"Okay, as you wish." I smiled, he pulled out his wallet and paid the bill, the waiter walked away as we both stood up to leave.

I looked at Arnav who just lifted his head up and looked towards me, I waved a goodbye at him, he smiled and waved back at me just when Adi wrapped his arm around my waist, Arnav suddenly looked away from me, it was strange. He looked away as if he dint like Aditya holding me, I knew it was just me and my stupid mind but I did notice it.

"I had such a great time today, thank you for this Adi." I smiled at him.

"Anything for you babe." He smiled as he opened the door of the car for me, I got inside as he rushed to the other side and got inside then drove me home.

He parked the car outside my mansion and rushed to open the door for me, I stepped out as he suddenly grabbed my waist.

"I don't know why I always feel like I haven't got enough of you." He said.

"I know and I'd really want to tell you to come in but then you know that would lead to me sleeping late and I start my shoot tomorrow, I want to be kind of fresh for it so next time." I said.

"I know, work is important too so I'll let you go but don't get too busy and forget me, call me whenever you are free we'll hang out." He said.

"Sure." I nodded.

"So, goodnight then." He leaned closer to kiss me while I blushed like an idiot that was until my eyes fell on someone, I stepped away from him and looked straight ahead at me at the bushes.

"What happened?" He asked.

"I don't know, I thought I saw someone there." I said as I continued looking but there wasn't anyone really, he pulled me back and kissed me, then waited until I was got inside the house and then he drove off.

I was so sure I saw someone out there, I couldn't see the face because it was dark, but who could it be?
