KHUSHI

Let's just say it was a bad idea to get drunk and then decide to travel the next day, that too when your flight was early in the morning. Ananya and I arrived at home after midnight, we got little sleep because his idiot friend had booked us an early morning flight to Bali, damn that place was beautiful though.

The both of us were hungover and we had to wake up early to pack and catch out flight, the good news was that the flight was long so we would get enough sleep on the flight and once we reached we just needed to freshen up and go around.

I remember last night when we arrived home the watchman was telling me about someone that had come to visit me, but I was too drunk to take it seriously or anything, anyway who would come to visit me apart from Aditya? And now that we had broken up he wouldn't.

I dint bother much, Ananya and I just packed out bags and headed to the airport to catch our flight. Unplanned trips like this were my favorite, I mean you were at home today and tomorrow you would wake up in an entire different place, it was like giving yourself a surprise.

We were wide awake by the time we arrived at the airport, the packing and leaving had woken us up a bit, gladly we dint have to wait much for our flight, and once we were on it we dozed off as if we hadn't gotten any sleep for weeks, I guess it was the alcohol.

I woke up and found Ananya awake, she was seated beside me reading a magazine, I looked at her and smiled.

"Are we there yet?" I asked as I looked around, it looked like we were still on air.

"Almost, we will be there in an hour or so, are you excited?" She placed the magazine aside and looked at me excitedly.

"Of course I am, I mean a holiday in Bali with my best friend, it's every girls dream and the both of have been busy working we haven't taken a holiday at all." I said.

"True." She smiled as she looked around and then looked back at me once again.

"By the way, why did Arnav come home that late at night?" She asked, I looked at her in confusion.

"When did he come home?" I asked.

"We weren't around but when we came back the watchman said he came, he even waited for a long time and then left. Did something happen?

"I don't want to talk about it." I shrugged, but I couldn't stop wondering why he came home and waited for that long, why would he have come?

"I am your best friend Khushi, you can tell me come on." She insisted.

"Okay, on the last day of my shoot with his company, Arnav and I kissed." I said.

"Oh my God! That's great, why aren't you happy about that? Or you don't like him that way? No but if you kissed him, obviously you like him that way." She said.

"I don't know any more what I feel towards him Ananya, that day he was so close to me I couldn't stop myself from kissing him and it was beautiful, he also kissed me back and everything was so fine, he even told me we would talk about it once the shoot was over.

And then I don't know what happened to him suddenly, when the shoot was over he literally avoided me, when I questioned him he told me he let me kiss him and dint stop it because he dint want to be rude, it doesn't even make sense.

But anyway so I just left, I was hurt, it was something different between us, something special but I guess it was from my side only." I said.

"Something different? Not like how it was between you and Aditya?" She asked.

"I don't know, I just know that he was making me feel a lot of new things, I mean I have dated so many guys haven't I? but this were the sort of feelings he made me feel for the first time ever, I don't even know how to explain them in words, it's just something that I feel inside me, something beautiful." I sighed.

"But anyway there's no point of it now that it dint mean a thing to him." I said.

"I am sorry Khushi, he's a idiot if he doesn't feel a thing for you, it's his loss. I mean who wouldn't want to be with you?" She smiled as she hugged me.

"I know right? Damn you Arnav." I giggled.

"Anyway good we came for this holiday, it will help you get over those feelings, we'll have so much fun." Ananya said excitedly.

"I hope so, because I don't know why but it's been hurting like hell. It dint even hurt this much when I broke up with Aditya with whom I had been in a relationship for such a long time." I said.

"Don't worry babe, everything would be fine." She smiled.

The weather here was beautiful, everything about this place was so beautiful. Ananya and I walked to our room, as we had got a package booked so we had to share the room which neither of us minded, it was good actually.

"I need to take a shower." I said as I headed straight to the bathroom while Ananya started unpacking.

"I'll take one after you, and then we can go somewhere, the tour guide is downstairs he will take us wherever we want to. For the next five days, we aren't resting at all." She giggled.

"As you say." I said as I shut the door and turned on the shower, I can't tell you how great it felt to take a shower after such a long journey where you were a bit drunk too, it was the best.

One I was done, I took a bathrobe and wrapped it around myself as I headed out, I found Ananya seated on the bed, she stood up and looked at me excitedly.

"We are twinning, I bought this ages ago hoping we would twin someday but we never had the chance, today is the day so wear this." She said as she handed me a pair of jean and crop top, I nodded as she rushed to take her shower while I got dressed.

I picked up my phone and checked it, I hadn't checked it since we got on the flight, now that I had a bit of time, I decided to check just in case of anything important.

I had about five missed calls, one was from an unknown number, two were from Aditya and two from Arnav. It was strange, last night he was at my place and now he was calling me too, what did he want from me?

He was very clear about what he felt about the kiss and I wasn't going to hurt myself by thinking about him, I was here to get rid of whatever feelings I had towards him and that's what I was going to do.

I decided to call back Aditya, I walked outside to the balcony as I dialed his number, I was on roaming but it was okay, I could afford to make an expensive call once in a while.

"Hey, where have you been, I've been trying to reach you, I passed by home and you weren't around." Aditya said immediately.

"Ananya and I decided to take a trip, we're in Bali" I said happily.

"Yeah the watchman told me you were travelling but he dint know where, anyway it's not fair. Why wasn't I invited to this trip, I thought we were still friends."

"Because it's a girls trip and you aren't a girl, stop being dramatic, tell me why you called." I giggled.

"Okay it may sound weird but Arnav came at my place I don't know how he got my address or anything but he was asking about you, he seemed really worried so I thought I should inform you. is everything okay Khushi?" Adi asked.

"Yeah everything is okay, anyway I don't need to be disturbed on this trip, if he comes again please don't tell him where I am."

"Okay don't worry, I won't. Enjoy your trip."

"Thanks." I disconnected and headed back inside the room, Ananya was already dressed and over excited for this, I knew I should have been the same as her, it was just that I couldn't stop wondering why Arnav was looking for me suddenly.

Forget about him Khushi, you're here to do that so stop thinking about him!

"So shall we?" Ananya asked, I nodded as the both of headed out of the room, took an elevator to the reception downstairs where the tour guide was waiting for us.

We wanted to eat first as we hadn't had breakfast or even lunch so we told him to take us to a good place to eat then we could start by doing some shopping for clothes to wear tomorrow, now that we were on trip we better wear new clothes too right?

I was already excited and happy for this, we both got inside the car with the guide and drove off, I looked outside admiring this place but then I also couldn't stop thinking about Arnav. Why would he just leave my mind?

It would have been easier if he dint come to my place or go to Aditya's place looking for me, now he had left me wondering and I dint want that.

He was very clear about what he felt about me so why was he looking for me now?

Jeez, relax Khushi and stop thinking about Arnav. I reminded myself for the hundredth time.
