Part 19:

ARNAV

I kept on pacing in my cabin, I was kind of feeling so restless. My life seemed all fine until Khushi came and now nothing was fine anymore.

I thought I could get used to the idea of her having a boyfriend and whatever I felt for her would go away, but with each and every passing day, it just got stronger and stronger and to make it worse, that Aditya was actually such a good guy.

I did all I could, stayed awake the entire freaking night searching for anything bad about him, I called a few people who knew him and all I got to hear was that he was a good guy.

It was frustrating, because I couldn't find anything against him and I wanted him out of her life, but I dint know what to do to throw him out of her life, I was ready to do anything, I just needed an idea which I dint have at the moment.

It was like I was going crazy for her and she couldn't even see it and that was more frustrating, I felt trapped and I had no idea on what to do.

I sat down on my chair and switched on my laptop, I wasn't going to give up, not so soon, I had to do something, and if I couldn't find anything against him, I was going to look for ideas to throw him out of her life, it had to happen and very soon.

I waited outside her house hoping she was going to be home, I dint expect her to be happy when she saw me, not at least after how I behaved with her earlier today, but it was just me being frustrated that I couldn't have her and I couldn't explain it to her either.

The servant opened the door, I asked him if Khushi was at home and he told me she was so I headed inside, she was in her room so I headed there, stood outside the door nervously and then inhaled a few deep breaths and knocked.

She opened the door and looked at me in surprise, it looked like she was sleeping and I disturbed her, her hair was in a mess and she was in her pajamas, she looked cute.

"I'm sorry I showed up so randomly, I just wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier today." I pouted.

"And I'm sorry for disturbing, I dint know you would be asleep." I spoke again.

"It's okay, I was just reading a book and fell asleep, I'm glad you came and woke me up otherwise I would have problems sleeping at night, considering its seven o'clock already." She said as she looked at the watch on her wrist.

"So am I forgiven?"

"Depends on the reason behind your behavior, it was really strange Arnav, I thought we were friends." She said as she walked inside and I followed her.

"How about I explain it on a dinner date? Would you like to have dinner with me?"

"If I keep having dinner with you every day, my boyfriend is going to be jealous." She giggled.

"I know it's been happening almost daily, but today is the last day I promise."

"Relax Arnav, I am joking. Aditya and I have an understanding, I'm sure he would understand this." She smiled.

"So are you coming?"

"Of course, I don't say no to food. Give me a few minutes, I'll get ready and then we can leave." She smiled as she headed to her cupboard, picked up some clothes and then headed inside the bathroom to change into them.

She walked out dressed in pair of black jean and white top, not too fancy but good for a dinner date, she always knew what to wear and whatever she wore, just looked beautiful on her naturally.

She stood in front of the mirror, combed her hair and tied it into a half ponytail, put on a lipstick and then look at me with a smile.

"I'm ready, we can go now."

"Wow, that was fast, I thought you were going to take forever, the other girls I've been with always used to take forever to get ready." I smiled as I stood up and walked out of her room while she followed me.

"So you've had a girlfriend before?" She looked at me curiously.

"Not really, I never actually dated any of them, I've never really had a girlfriend." I said as I held the car door open for her, she smiled and got inside as if she liked knowing that I dint have a girlfriend, were the feelings between us mutual?

I got inside and drove us to the hotel where I had planned to have dinner with her, it was just a few minutes away from her house so it dint take us long to arrive.

We picked a table in the corner and settled down, I usually liked corner tables they were kind of more private than the middle ones.

"Your girlfriend is going to be a lucky girl, I mean if you keep bringing me for dinners like this, what will you do for her?" She looked at me with a smile.

"You have no idea." I smirked, because she really dint have any idea what I was doing to get her to be mine.

The waiter took the order from us as I looked around not knowing when to say and then I saw Aditya walking in with a girl and that kind of made me happy.

"Isn't that your boyfriend?" I asked as I pointed at him, the both of them had just settled down on a table that was quite far from ours.

"Yeah he is." Khushi smiled as she looked at me, I mean why was she okay seeing her boyfriend in a hotel to have dinner with a random girl?

"Are you okay with that? I mean he's with another girl?" I asked, she smiled and I was confused, why was she smiling about this.

"Arnav we live in the 21st century, I mean of course I am okay with that. It must be a colleague or a friend, just because he is having dinner with a girl I can't imagine that they are having an affair of something right?

I mean if he would be with a guy then it was fine, but just because it's a girl it isn't fine? We both are mature people, we understand this things, otherwise I wouldn't be here having dinner with you if Aditya thought the same way right?" she smiled, I nodded. I liked how open minded she was, I liked her thoughts, everything about her was so likeable, I mean who wouldn't fall for a girl like this?

"So, wouldn't you go greet him?"

"I think he hasn't even seen us, so let him be, I don't want to disturb his time without me." She giggled.

The waiter soon walked back with our food, it smelled so good I couldn't wait to eat it.

"So you were to tell me about your strange behavior earlier today." Khushi said as she served herself some food and started eating.

"Oh yeah, it was because of stress." I shrugged, she looked at me like the explanation wasn't enough, of course it wasn't, I was a jerk to her.

"I was just worried about a lot of things, some are personal so I can't really tell you about them, but all I wanted was to be alone, but I couldn't miss the shoot too and so I ended up behaving that way. I am sorry for it Khushi, I promise it won't happen ever again." I looked at her trying to make a cute face which I know I failed miserably but she smiled making me happy.

"It's okay Arnav, I understand." She smiled, I looked towards Aditya and the girl, they both were yet waiting for their food, Aditya was busy talking about something while the girl was continuously staring at him, she slowly slid her hand close to his and placed it on his hand.

"Umm not to be nosy or anything, but that doesn't look like it's just a casual dinner with a friend." I said to Khushi while I pointed towards Aditya, she looked towards him and then looked back at me.

"Arnav, I don't really care about it, can we concentrate on our dinner?" She smiled.

"Okay, if you say so." I shrugged as I continued eating.

After we were done, I paid the bill as the both of us stood up to leave, I turned and started walking as Khushi followed me behind, when we reached to the door, I opened it and waited for her to walk out but she dint so I turned to look at her, she was looking at Aditya who was now engrossed in a deep kiss with the girl and Khushi was staring at the both of them.

Aditya pushed her away immediately and just then his eyes fell on Khushi, he stood up in shock as he rushed towards her maybe to explain things.

I looked at the girl and she winked at me, I smirked at her and gave her a thumbs up for the great work she had done, it was time for Aditya to get out of Khushi's life now.
