Infatuate

My favorite choker is one that has a bell that gently rests over my chest
I wonder if you can hear it's slight chimes when my heart races?
Can you see how my confidence is all for show, and the pink of the pleather matches my rouging cheeks?
I tend to fall into fantasies, snaking into my mind like delicate strips of silk ribbon, entangling me in fluffy white lace.
But you're real. You're tangible, and you break past the ringing in my ear.
But you also strangle me.
You cause for fear to rise, and thoughts to bubble.
You cause me to feel vulnerable, commanded by anxiety.
Infatuation's collar tightens, but are we allies in chains?
Or are you a simple spectator for my jingling pulse?
