Chapter Two: The Angel
Okay, this is becoming weird, Aurora thought, feeling the horns regrow. This time it wasn't stress. Fear. Fear made the horns curve upwards. Worry created a nice fluffy wolf tail. It was good and fine, because Aurora could control it without Worry. Aurora went on all fours, being as quiet as she could be. There was talking and laughter. Two people were there. Aurora listened closely. One voice was a male, "Hey, kiddo. You're different than the humans who usually come here... I mean, who else wants to hang out with a skeleton?" It's Sans! Aurora realized, sneaking closer.
"Hey, one of them kicked me in the face!" Sans told the other. Laughter echoed through Snowdin Forest. Aurora smiled, happy to see Sans happy. Not that she wants to date him. Aurora prefers to be alone. But friends won't hurt. The wolf monster saw Sans and another monster. This one looked like a dragon, a furry one. A dragon with fur? That's strange! went into Aurora's mind. A fluffy white dragon, with black stripes or markings on her wrist and forearm. There were more stripes on the dragon's ankle and leg. Even more on the top of her tail, four stripes and four spikes.
The dragon was wearing a blue striped sweater and some sort of necklace. It moved around while she laughed. Aurora caught cyan as it moved. A cyan necklace. This dragon had angel wings. The top was white, the middle was a royal blue, and the bottom was navy blue. The tail tip of the dragon had feathers, navy blue on top and royal blue closer to the tail. On the ear was one black stripe, and two black stripes on the jaw.
Spikes, spikes. Any spikes or horns? Indeed, the dragon had spikes and horns. It had six brow spikes, three for each eye. Then two spikes on the forehead, one above and one below. Six cheek spikes, three on each cheek. And two horns, each looking straight. Finally, the dragon had a navy blue feather crest. It's half dragon, half angel! I think... Aurora thought. Then, she got on her hind legs and barked. A nice, loud bark. Sans yelped, and the dragon turned to face Aurora.
"Sora protect Sans!" The dragon yelled, spreading her wings. Aurora laughed. Sans placed his hand on 'Sora,' calming the dragon thing town. "Sora, don't worry. Aurora is a friend." The dragon growled again at Aurora before stepping back. Sans grinned at Aurora, "Aura, this is Sora. Sora, Aurora, or Aura. Sora is a Dutch Angel Dragon." Aurora muffled a laugh. So... Little dragon girl has a species? Well, lucky her. At least she knows what she is.
Sans glared at Aurora. He was still smiling, but his eye sockets told Aurora to shut up. She did. "Papyrus is looking for you," Aurora told Sans, reaching for her phone. "C'mon. We should go home. I'm calling Papyrus." Aurora hit speed-dial and waited for Papyrus to pick up. The three monsters walked towards the cabin. The voice message came. "Nyeh heh heh! You've reached the voicemail of the GREAT PAPYRUS! Please leave a message! *Beep!* Aurora didn't know what to say.
"Hey, Papyrus. We found Sans and-" The line clicked. It just made a click sound. When Aurora tried to dial Papyrus again, her phone wouldn't turn on. "Shoot. I ran out of power," Aurora groaned, shoving her phone back in her pocket. They were just outside the cabin. Sora tried her phone. "Sora phone not working," Sora reported, after her phone wouldn't turn on. Sans tried his. "Sorry, kiddo. It just turned off." Aurora mumbled, "Something's wrong..."
The three monsters went inside. Sora went on the couch, "Sans want to watch movie?" Sans looked at the TV then at Sora, "Sorry, Sora. I'm feeling tired right now. You can watch with Aurora if it works." Sans teleported, probably into his room. Aurora sat next to Sora. "Sans best friend with Sora!" Sora claimed, and Aurora scooted as far as she could. "I'm not Sans' 'girlfriend,' Sora. I think you are. I don't really want to have a boyfriend." Sora was more calm after that. Aurora could tell because her tone was calmer as she spoke, "Okay. Sora forgive you. Sora was afraid Aurora steal Sans."
Aurora just laughed at that. "You think I was trying to steal Sans!? You're funny. I like that. So, what movie did you wanna watch?" Sora jumped off the couch and looked through the pile of movies. "Aurora want to watch Rampage?" Aurora shook her head and walked over to Sans. "Do you have anything animated?" Aurora asked, trying to sound as polite as she was right now. Sora looked through, "Sora have How to Train Dragon. Is that good?" Aurora nodded, smiling.
Sora tried to start the TV and DVD player, but neither worked. "No movie," Aurora sighed, sitting back on the couch. "I'm gonna take a nap," Aurora told Sora, making herself comfortable in her small corner. Sora went to the other side, "Sora take nap, too. Sora tired." Aurora smiled, closing her eyes. It wasn't long before the two fell asleep.
**********Epic Time Skip***************
The two were awaken by a loud banging. Sans teleported in the living room and ran towards the door. Sora was awake, her ears up. "Sans in danger? Sora in danger? Aurora in danger?" she kept on saying until Aurora shushed her. The two monsters got off the couch and towards Sans. In the doorway was Undyne. Captain of the Royal Guard, Aurora's mind reminded her. Aurora scoffed inside her mind, Wow, I could've never remembered that... Undyne was panting, as if she ran all the way from Waterfall. She probably did... Aurora thought.
"Sans... I-it's..." Undyne began. Finally, the Captain stood up straight, her panting stopping. "It's Papyrus. We found him in Hotland... Dr. Alphys wants t' see ya." Sora gasped, "Papyrus in trouble! Sora will come!" Undyne looked at Aurora and Sora and shrugged, then ran towards Waterfall again. Cyan flames faintly came from Sans' eye socket as he closed the door. When he turned, they were gone. "I'm getting m' jacket. You two can come, if ya want." Sans told them, and then teleported back into his room. The two females looked at each other with worried looked.
The red horns came back. The fear aura filled Aurora. This couldn't be happening. Not Papyrus... No... Aurora shook her head, seeing Sans now in his blue jacket. "C'mon, ya two. We're riding the boat." Sora and Aurora followed. Sora tugged at Aurora's sleeve. "Aurora okay?" The wolf monster nodded, trying to catch up to Sans. "I just hope Papyrus is okay..." She whispered, loud enough for Sora to hear.
Sora nodded, "Sora does, too."
