Chapter Sixteen: Diagon
What up, my radical broskis. I'm back! Do you care? Probs not. I missed you, though. :(
"Hey! There's another monster here!" a voice said, echoing in Aurora's mind. Then another voice, "Really? I thought they were all gone. Is it asleep?" Aurora let out a soft groan, opening her eyes. A third voice chirped, "Nope! It's awake! C'mon, friend! You gotta get outta here!" Aurora fell back after getting on her knees, facing at the grey sky of an in-coming storm. Then she stood up, wobbling, and looked at the voices. There was... Sans. But he had a gold chest-plate with the Delta Rune on the left, a sky-blue scarf, dark blue pants, and bright blue boots. He looked like a mix of Papyrus and Sans. The second looked like a cat-demon thing, with a black body, white face, white gloves with two ovals, and pac-man eyes.
The third looked like a mix of those two. It had the same body as the cat-demon, but with eye-sockets with pac-man pupils, a white head and face, a black body, and a dark blue scarf. "Wh-who are you?" Aurora stammered, managing to step a few paces back. The Sans spoke, "Oh, I'm Blueberry! This is Bendy, and this is Diagon Jr.!" Diagon waved rapidly while Bendy gave a small wave and a shy smile. Aurora sighed, feeling her eyes create tears again. "What's wrong?" Blueberry asked. She shook her head.
"Anyway, we gotta go. Something's happening. It happened all of a sudden and-" Bendy nudged Blue in the arm with his, silencing the skeleton. Diagon grabbed Aurora's paw and led her to some sort of exit. "You go through here," he said, "While we look for others. We should make it out..." Then he turned and ran towards the other two. Aurora stared at them, standing still, then went through the large door. They were on the surface, which was probably good. But outside was chaos. People were running around, screaming and yelling. Then Aurora saw it.
There was a crane, which was probably holding the large rocks. And those rocks? They were dropped, smashing everything below. Blood was everywhere. Aurora decided this wasn't the best place to be right now. The crane was being used, holding one last boulder in its claws. Then that was thrown to the building the wolf came out of. She fell back, stone dust coming towards her. The doors fell, leaving Aurora to choose whether to run inside or run away. She picked run inside and did so, finding Diagon and Blueberry, but no Bendy. "Where is he!?" she demanded. Diagon shook his head and shrugged and Blueberry didn't do anything.
"What do you mean!? He was with you before!" Aurora yelled, but didn't really mean to yell. Then Diagon shakily pointed at the boulder that crashed in. Aurora stepped closer and gasped. On the bottom was a large splatter of ink with one white glove pointing from underneath. Blueberry ran towards, let out a startled gasp, and backed up a few steps. Diagon came towards them and whispered, "Dad..." Aurora didn't know what to do, what to say. Blueberry then turned and quickly sped away from them. Diagon began to follow, then stopped. Aurora didn't move to that.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" Aurora growled. Diagon didn't answer, but he kept on looking down. Aurora shook her head and went towards the exit. When she was near it, she heard a low growl. Is that Diagon? she thought to herself. When she turned, there was no sign of him. All that was left was inky claw-marks on the boulder and a trail of ink mixed with red leading into the ruins. Aurora shook her head a second time and left the ruins. Then she really saw it.
There was nobody outside, but there were screams everywhere. She looked around, trying to find the cause of the chaos this time. Suddenly, somebody was thrown against a large truck that was in the parking lot of... well, whatever the ruins once was. The wolf ran to the person, catching a glimpse of a scaly tail with a large tail-spike. Blueberry was the victim of the throw, groaning softly. When the wolf went to him, there was some sort of noise. She gasped again. Bone snapping and the soft clanging of metal. "No, no, no, no..." she muttered, wrapping her arms around him, "Not you, too. Please... Not you..."
Blue let out a scream, muffled by Aurora's paw over his mouth. The metal noise stopped. Then Blueberry whispered, "G... G-et... Get... A-Away...." Aurora let out a cry as he managed to get a Blue Attack on her and send her far away from him. Aurora then screamed, "I'm not leaving you again!" But by now, Blueberry was on all fours. His skull was changing, a muzzle forming in front and three horns in the back. His skull split in the center, from the nasal cavity to his brow line. His entire leg anatomy began to change as well, reforming as disitigrade. His entire body was changing, snapping and twisting and distending.
Aurora didn't know what to do. Except one thing, which could result in death. She ran at him, flinging her arms around his neck. Blueberry let out a roar, managing to swing her off. Aurora fell to the ground, wishing that she could just die. There was no point in living anymore... She heard clanging of the chest-plate falling next to her. When she looked back up, there was no more Blueberry. There was only the skeletal beast, staring down at her. Only his left eye socket had a pupil in it, which was a spiral of red and blue.
It let out a roar. Aurora let out a similar roar, attempting to make it feel less-powerful. It hissed in return. Aurora saw his scarf had drifted on her other side, which she quickly swiped at and wrapped around her neck. The beast tilted its head at her, then somehow sniffed at her. Aurora did the first thing she thought of-backing up and holding out her hand. Heck, the only thing she could think of is How to Train Your Dragon. It tilted its head again.
Then it rubbed its muzzle against her paw. Aurora let out a shocked gasp, then smiled. "Aura..." he hissed. Aurora was shocked again, wondering how it knew her name. But it didn't matter. They were together. She and Sans...
