Chapter Five: Who(m)?
Aurora had her eyes shut. Sora's tail brushed against hers. That made Aurora open her eye sockets. What the... she thought. Her vision was a bit blurry. And there seemed to be blue swirls everywhere. Then she realized, that's not me. That's Sans! Indeed it was. Sans was fighting off the shadow, but it was clear the shadow would kill him. The shadow's grin seemed to be wider, and electric blue blood littered the snow. "Sora scared!" Sora yelled to Aurora. Aurora went on all fours, blocking the shadow's sight of Sora.
"Stay here," Aurora whispered to Sora, then ran into the sight. The shadow looked at Aurora and turned to face her. Aurora, what are you doing!? You don't have any fancy magic! When the shadow was distracted, Sans sent a gaster blaster onto him. The thing roared, turning into a more misty figure. "VeRy WeLl, AuRoRa... YoU sHaLl Be SpArEd... FoR nOw." Then the shadow lunged at Sans. Before Sans reacted, the shadow disappeared. The flames in Sans' eye sockets burned out, but the flames around him didn't. "Sans okay?" Sora asked, running towards the small skeleton.
Sans dropped to his knees, then fully into the snow. Sora looked at Aurora, "Help Sans!" Sora helped put Sans on Aurora's back. Aurora ran towards the cabin, still on all fours. The two females helped Sans up onto the couch. "Sora, I need you to go to Hotland. Get Dr. Al because we can't call her," Aurora ordered. The small dragon nodded, running out the cabin. Aurora sat besides the couch, placing the back of her paw on the skeleton's forehead. It felt a bit warm, which confused Aurora.
It wasn't long before green blush went over the skeleton's cheekbones. Aurora sat besides the couch, waiting for Sora. Suddenly, Sans jumped up. He was sitting up as he spoke, in a voice completely unlike his, "The infection must continue. We will not stop until the skeletons are infected. Even the little females they live with..." Then Sans fell back down, the blush becoming more blue-ish. Suddenly, the phone rang.
Wait a minute... That's not my ringtone... Aurora thought, jumping up to answer it. The call ID was in a different language. ✌⌘︎◆︎❒︎☜ ✌■︎👎 👎♒︎❒︎◆︎✟ was what it said. It looks familiar but not familiar at the same time... went in Aurora's mind as she answered. "Who's this? I'm very busy at the time." Then a voice came. A familiar voice. Two familiar voices. Aurora gasped, Papyrus and Sans?
She turned. There was Sans, on the couch. If Sans wasn't there, then Papyrus couldn't be either. The voice whispered, "Aurora, we know it's you. Something's happeni- AGH!!!" 'Papyrus' tried to talk clearly, but a yell of pain interrupted him. 'Sans' spoke next, "The Sans you're with? He's not the real one... S-something's wrong... Al is missing and so is Undyne... Is S-Sora with you?" Aurora stammered for a minute, "N-No... Sh-sh-she's not w-w-with me. Wh-what's going on?"
Before the Sans answered, Aurora felt something grabbing at her Soul. Oh, no... she thought, and was thrown back into the wall behind her. She grunted in pain, quickly getting back on her hind paws. The Sans on her couch was sitting up, his eye sockets blank and blood leaking out of them. Aurora felt her Soul be let go, and she fell onto her knees. "Please... Sans... Don't do this..." The Sans laughed before talking his un-Sans-like voice, "There is no more Sans. We're making the infection... worse... You don't need lungs anymore to be infected. It's only that you and Sora cannot be infected..."
The Sans teleported in front of Aurora. Instead of the normal blue teleportation color, it was dark purple. "Farewell, Aurora. I know we'll meet sometime again." The Sans laughed, before fading into dark blue mist. Aurora got up, feeling the pain in her shoulder and leg. She checked the phone, "A-are you still here? H-how are you? H-how did you get up my phone?" Panting came from the phone before Sans answered, "W-we're here... Papyrus is i-in pain from... well, w-whatever is g-going on... I-I don't u-understand A-Al's technology y-yet... But i-it has something t-to do w-with this."
Aurora managed to get on her paws again, "W-where are y-you? At the l-lab?" Another scream came from the phone. "Y-yes," came Sans' reply, "P-Please be c-careful. A-Al is here, b-but different." Aurora clicked the hang-up button, put the phone in her pocket, and limped-ran to the boat. The ride to Hotland seemed slower, but they made it. It seemed a million miles to get into the Lab, but Aurora sensed a new aura. Something she never felt before.
First of all, the lights were off. The desk was now on it's side and papers spilled everywhere. The large screen was broken and ripped off the wall. Every single piece of electricity was off. The elevator better work... Aurora thought, running towards it. One half of the door was ripped off, but the remaining one closed and opened like usual. Before Aurora could enter the elevator, something growled from upstairs. Aurora's eyes widened. Oh no... Not again
