Neo POV

6 months before (Y/N) found her.

"You're a disgrace!" Dad yells at me as he hits me with his cane. Ouch!

"You couldn't do a single thing!" He yells as he hits me again

"You're like your mother...that woman ran away when she saw you were such a terrible kid," he beats me.

I miss mom, I miss her hugs...her kisses. I missed the warmth she gave me.

I took after my mom a lot, I had her face and her hair colour...in fact, I resembled my dad in no way.

He had orange hair and a black top hat.

I curled in a ball as he took his rage out on me.

To anyone else, people would say he was a calm and collected man. But in our house, he turns into a devil.

I already had bruises everywhere from past beatings...but this one was really hard.

He kicked me and sent pain throbbing down my spine.

"Stop!" I yell

"Shut up," he yells as he lands a kick on the back of my head. It hurts!

The beating went on for 20 minutes...by the end, I felt like a bag of bricks.

"Get out of my face, I don't want to see you," he says as I nod.

I barely got up when he suddenly grabbed me again

"When I tell you to do something, you say Yes, and then do it!" He yells in my face as he holds me by my neck.

"Yes, sir," I say as he drops me. I smash into the ground hard and smack my head off the ground.

I could hear the door open and shut as he leaves.

It's been like this ever since Mom left a month ago.

I wish she had taken me with her

Maybe she did leave because of me.

I curled up and went to sleep

3 months till (Y/N) finds her

"Dad, stop please!" I yell as he anchors me to a wall

"Did you just back talk to me? DID YOU JUST TALK BACK TO ME!" He yells as I yelp in pain

"Someone, help! Please! Someone help me!" I scream as he slaps me across the face

"Shut up!" He says as he locates a knife...I looked at it with fear as he raised it over me

"If you won't shut up, I'll do it for you!" He says as he plows the knife into my neck.

"Noooooooooooooo, owwwwwwwwww-----------------------------," I scream as my voice becomes a distant whisper

"That's good," he says as I rush my hands to my neck as blood rushes out.

"Take this rag, I'd rather not have the cops on my doorstep," he says as he passes a cloth to me.

I scrambled to get it on my neck.

My Aura repaired the serious damage, but it hurt...it hurt a lot.

Tears rushed to my face as I silently cried.

The day (Y/N) found Her

Roman had just forced me into a wall.

I stopped calling him dad a while ago.

"Go to that damn store, and shoplift whatever the hell I told you," he yells as he throws me out of the house.

He threw me with enough force for me to faceplant into the wall.

I was stunned. I toppled over as my head goes through what had just happened.

"Come on Neo, get up or you'll get another beating," I remind myself in my head.

I dragged my body up and started my 2-mile struggle to the store.

I slipped and fell many times. Staining whatever I was wearing.

I reached the store and shoplifted what Roman had told me to.

I was about to leave when I got caught.

"Filthy rat!" The store owner says as he comes at me with a bat.

I scramble trying to avoid the hit...I was too slow.

He nailed me in the head as I pass out.

I only faintly remember the kicks and the punches as I drop in and out of consciousness.

When I fully awoke, my body felt like a freight train hit it.

Owww, it hurts, it hurts!

I felt someone trip over me, they grunted as they got back up.

And then my stomach exploded in pain as I wheeze out the air in my stomach

"Oh, crap! Sorry!" A boy says.

He starts talking but the pain made me hear none of it.

I could barely see his hand in the darkness

I grabbed it and used it to help me sit up straight.

I started talking to him with taps as he asked questions.

"Ok, I'll get you to some light," he says as he scoops me up from my leg and my legs. I fell into his chest as I felt something I hadn't in a long time.

Warmth...the same warmth my mother had.

I curled up in his arms as I saw us approaching light.

(Y/N) POV - Present.

Indigo rushed to David's side as I'm stunned.

Roman...that bastard!

"Roman, you fucking piece of Shit!" I say as I jump around in my chair.

He paid no attention to me as he looked at Neo as the poor girl was scared half to death.

"Neo, snap out of it! Get me out of this chair!" I yell as I hear Indigo sobs behind me

"Neo!" I say as she flinches

"Neo, you better stay where you stand," a Roman says as I lost it

"You better not touch a hair on her head, if you do...ill have your god damn head! Do you hear? Your head!" I scream as Neo is paralyzed.

I see Roman slowly approaching her as my blood boils

"Neo! Move! .....Neo!" I scream

I look at Roman

One Stab will do the trick

"Neo!" I scream in frustration as tears come to my eyes

"Move!" I yell as she just stands there frozen in time.

Stay away, stay away, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

"Neo move!" I scream as I choke on my own tears.

My choking is what got her out of her prison...but it was too late.

Roman had a hidden sword in his cane...and I saw it enter her body on one side...and then exit out of the other

"NEO!!!!" I scream as my tears stream down my face. From my sudden rage. The rope that bound me to the chair snapped free and I pounced Roman

"You bastard!" I say as I pelt him with punches

"Your terrible!" I say with another barrage of punches

His face was unrecognizable after a minute.

As quickly as I got on top of Roman, was the same amount of time I was on Neo as I picked her up.

"Neo!" I yell as her eyes are foggy

"Stay with me girl!" I say as I cry into her chest.

Her hand took a grip on my face and pulled it away.

It hurts, it hurts, it hurts

Those were the first words I read from her mind. And probably the last.

She pulled my lips down onto her's as we kissed. It tasted like metallic, probably from the blood that had covered her mouth...her blood.

The kiss ended with no indication.

I looked at her to see her eyes closed and body limp

"Hospital!" Indigo yells as I pick up Neo's body and started sprinting.
