(Y/N) POV

An alarm woke me up as I struggled to shut the damn thing off.

Even after I smashed the off button, I still heard it.

"God that's annoying," I groan as I sit up.

The room was dark, light wanted to come inside but the curtains stopped it.

"Time to wake up," I whisper to Neo as she clings on to one of her teddy bears.

"Man she's so cute!" I tell myself in my head.

Her hair shaded her eyes from any of the little light that managed to get into the room.

I bit my lip as I wanted to just sit here and watch her.

Finally, I bit the bullet as I shook her.

"Wakey wakey sleepy," I say softly as she stirs.

She raises her head and body as the blankets fall off of her. I could see the tank top she was wearing was half off as I covered my eyes. Nothing important was showing, just a lot of skin and part of her bra

"Neo can you fix that?" I ask quickly as she looked down at her outfit and casually slipped the string over her shoulder.

She opened her mouth wide as I realize she was yawning.

"Sleepy?" I ask as she nods

"Come on, help me wake the others," I say as she shakes her head and goes back under the blanket

"Neo you need to get up," I say as her eyes look at me. She had half her head covered by the blanket....adorable

"I'm cold,"

"If your cold why didn't you say anything?" I ask her as I grab my blanket and lay it over her.

"And this bed is really comfy," she adds

I chuckle a little as I turn to the other two. I didn't give them the same privilege of waking them up quietly as I did with Neo.

"You two, time to wake up!" I yell as David's blankets literally go flat. I looked under them and he was nowhere to be seen

"The hell? He was here a minute ago," I mutter as I feel a tap on my feet

"You scared the hell out of me, I used my semblance without even thinking!" He says as he struggles to crawl out of the tight area under his bed...in fact, I had to help pull him out.

"God, no reason to be so loud!" Indigo says as I smile sheepishly.

"My bad," I mutter as she smiles and stretches

"That was a good sleep," she says heading to the bathroom.

David went in after she came out and Neo was still under her blankets.

"Come on, Neo, it's 8:15, you need to get up," I say as she slowly slides out and heads to the bathroom with a change of clothes after David comes out.

I changed out of my pyjamas and into the beacon uniform.

"Lil tight," David comments as I look at him. His uniform had no slack in it once so ever...it looked very uncomfortable

"I'm sure you can get a bigger size," I say as he nods

"I'll have to do that," he says as his muscles are clearly visible through his shirt. I looked at my arms and they were noodles compared to his.

I felt a surge of jealously as I realized how much better David was physically than I was.

I looked around for Neo and I realized she was still in the bathroom...I was kinda glad she was.

I know I shouldn't be feeling like this, but I didn't want Neo to see David...for some reason, I felt like she would fall in love at first sight.

Neo exited the bathroom and my heart actually started thumping as she looked at him...and then looked away and starred at her bed.

She was dressed into the beacon uniform too as she cuddled up in bed again

"Neo you need to get up," I say as she pouts

"I wanna stay in bed!" She says childishly

"I'll get you some Ice Cream after school," I say as she shoots up and was waiting at the door in less than a second

"She likes ice cream?" Indigo asks as I nod smiling

"She'll kill someone for the stuff," I say as she chuckles and looks at David

"Come on big guy, let's get you another shirt before you have a fangirl club," she teases David as he blushes.

"Ok, our first class is...." I start explaining our schedule before Indigo and David go off to grab a new uniform.

"Off to class," I say as I see it's 8:45.

The rest of the day was boring. School and stuff...terrible stuff, by the way, I'm glad I was working during the time Neo was in schooling...but I was clueless about a lot of the subjects.

After school, I brought Neo some ice cream as she savoured every lick. I always laughed when I watch her eat ice cream, she would lick a full 4L bucket of ice cream, she wouldn't bother with a spoon, she'd just lick it up.

"Come on, Neo, let's head back," I say as I spot Ozpin walking to me.

"Hello, (Y/N), how was your first day at school," he asks as I shrug

"I don't know anything," I mutter as he smiles

"Yes, I presumed that. I'm going to ask you if you wanted to take a trip to my office. I'd like to see if my theory would work," he says I nod. If I remember correctly, Ozpin thinks I can recall other people's memories, so therefore I'd get instant knowledge.

"Ok, I'll walk Neo to the dorm and I'll head back up," I say as he nods

"Wonderful, see you," Ozpin says walking off

"Well, looks like I'm leaving, do you want me to walk you to the dorm?" I ask as she shakes her head no

"I'm going to walk around, maybe spend some time with Pyrrha," she says

"Ah, that's a great idea!" I say as I encourage her she smiles as she waves me goodbye.

I head to Ozpin's office using an elevator.

I arrived with a high-pitched ding as the doors open.

"Nice to see you," Ozpin says with Miss Goodwitch beside him

"So you can read her mind correct?" He asks as I nod

"Yep," I say looking into her eyes

Ozpin should know this isn't going to work...why are we even trying this?

"So what are we doing?" I ask as he smirks

"Ok Glynda, think of battle techniques," he says as I look into her eyes.

My head suddenly erupted in pain as millions of thoughts are forced into my head. I suck my eyes as it all stops

"Are you ok?" Ozpin asks in his usual monotone voice.

"Yea," I muttered looking at him, he stared right back

"Well?" He asks as I start describing

I could visually see the words. Normally I hear the thoughts.

Like when Neo talks, I hear words in a voice I would imagine she would have. Of course, it isn't her real voice, but just something I assigned to her thoughts to voice them

But this, I saw the words flow out of her eyes and shoot right into mine.

It's hard to explain, even though a truckload of words literally shot into me, I read every last word. And the strange thing, I understood it all.

"So, what technique did she show you?" Ozpin asks as I look confused

"Dodging," I mutter as she nods

"Correct, we will test it now," she says as a book comes flying at me.

My body automatically dodges it like I had been doing for decades...it worked...there no arguing that

"Hmm, you describe words as a thing you can both hear and see. I wonder if perhaps you can read minds without looking into people's eyes....hmm yes, maybe...oh well. We will leave things here, you may return to your dorm," he says as I nod

"Thank you," I say as I leave.

I went to the dorm and Neo wasn't there.

"She musta found Pyrrha," I mutter as I looked around. It didn't take me long to spot the redhead around the bend.

"(Y/N)!" She says noticing me. Sure enough, Neo was sitting beside her

"Hello," I say as the girls smile

"Neo told me you went to Ozpin, anything happens?" She asks as I shake my head

"No, not really. We were just learning more about my semblance," I say as she raises a brow

"Mind if you share?" She asks as I start explaining.

By the end, they were understanding and nodding their heads in sync

"Hmm, so you can cheat and steal knowledge and techniques without actually doing any of the work yourself?" Pyrrha says a little disapproving

"It seems so," I say as I look down, I heard rumours that Pyrrha was a pretty strong fighter who is well regarded. She musta worked hard to get there, and to have someone like myself be able to just copy it must hurt a little

Pyrrha noticed that I was down and instantly apologized

"I'm sorry if I came across as rude. It wasn't my intent," she says Neo smiles

"It's fine, I know you didn't mean it that way," I say as we continued to talk.

I noticed a group of three people approaching us, one had blonde hair, another had black and was wearing something like a ninja would, and the other was a girl with a giant pink hammer.

"Oh, that's my team. I better get going. Cya later," Pyrrha says leaving as me and Neo look at each other

"Did you see that hammer?"

"The hammer that was as big as you....yea," I tease her as she blushes

"Don't tease me about my size!" She says crossing her arms

"I'm sorry, but that girl could put a stick through you and probably wouldn't notice the difference," I say as we both laugh this time.

We got something to eat and then went off to bed
