(Y/N) POV

Her hand was so small

Her soft skin was cold to the touch...it was giving off no heat.

At first, I was scared to open my eyes and see her dead.

But a faint pulse in her waist calmed me down.

I open my eyes and Neo is still sleeping...still in her coma.

I wanted her to open her eyes so badly...but her chances were against her.

1/1000000000, chance she will wake up as she is right now.

"(Y/N), you need to go to beacon and get some actual rest. Plus, the hospital staff are tired of feeding you," Indigo says as she notices I'm awake.

It's been 3 days since the incident and I've been by Neo's side the whole time.

I haven't had a good night's sleep for ages. The uncomfortable position I sleep in cancels out any shut-eye I get in.

"I don't wanna leave her," I protest as Indigo glares at me.

"Listen, David is being discharged today. Plus, you might be able to ask Ozpin if he knows anything," she says looking at me

He needs to get cleaned up...he looks like a mess. Plus, Ozpin knows a lot of people, maybe he can point us in the direction of someone who can help

"Ok, but only for the day," I say as she smiles

"Great, David has been dying to see Velvet, they didn't let anyone other than his team or family visit him," Indigo tells me trying to make conversation.

"Oh," I mutter. I won't lie, I've been detached from reality in the past few days.

The girl I grew up with, the girl I liked...hell the girl I love, is gone now...

The doc made it clear that she basically wouldn't wake up...that's how low her chances are.

I don't know if I've accepted it, or maybe I'm dreaming....god I hope I'm dreaming.

"(Y/N), nice to see you up and moving," David says as we approach the front doors of the hospital.

"Yea, congrats on being released," I say not really sure what to say to him.

"Man, I can't wait to see Velvet," he says dreaming.

We boarded a bullhead and flew to beacon.

The ride was quiet.

I look at the plane...if only I hadn't taken the flight to Vale that day..none of this would happen.

If I didn't want to avoid Team RWBY so bad this wouldn't have happened.

If I didn't keep a secret from Neo this wouldn't have happened.

It's all my fault. I was the reason why she was there in the first place...how stupid can I be!

Indigo must have seen my frustration as she started talking with me

"Neo will be fine, I'm sure of it," she says I smile faintly.

"Yea," I agree with her.

"Why did you head to Vale in the first place?" Indigo asks

"I was grabbing some ice cream for the team, plus I also bought another plushie for Neo....," I say

"No, that's not all," Indigo says as she pierces into my soul. I imagine her glare was similar to the one I gave when I read someone's mind

"Actually...I was avoiding team RWBY," I say as she looks confused.

"Why would you do that?" She asks

I breathed in and told her about my past.

The night I met Neo, Roman and me. And the night with Ruby Rose and then the scholarship from Ozpin.

"I thought something was up," Indigo says with an unchanged expression.

"Yea," I mutter.

"And Roman...is he?" Indigo begins. She musta the fact that Roman was Neo's father together

"Yea...I think so...Neo...I saw her memories...I saw the way he treated her...It makes me gag," I tell her.

"That bastard," Indigo says as she gets tears in her eyes

"To think a father would do such a thing, to almost kill his own daughter...its disgusting, " she says as I agree

"He's the reason...the reason she can't talk anymore," I add as her head gets red with fury

"I'm glad he's dead now," she says plainly as the bullhead lands.

David got up as the doors opened and as soon as he stepped out, he was tackled.

I studied who had tackled him.

With her bunny hairs, it didn't take me long to realize it was Velvet.

"Your back!" She says with glee.

"Ouch," he says as the girl gets off him.

"I'm glad you bunch are alright, and I'm sorry about Neo," she says looking at me

"Thanks," I mutter as she turns around and hugs David again.

David and Velvet had a relationship just short of dating...I'm sure they will continue advancing on each other before long.

"You guys had me worry sick," she says pulling away from the hug.

"Sorry," David says sheepishly.

"Nothing you can do about it," she says sweetly as David blushes a little.

"I'm heading to Ozpin," I say as I leave my remaining teammates with the 2nd year student.

As I made my way to Ozpin's office, I got a few weird looks.

Either Because of my bruises from the torture or my terrible bed head.

I arrived at his office and I got in with little to no waiting time.

"(Y/N), I'm glad your back safe, my condolences to Neo," he says as I get right to business.

"Do you know anyone who can help Neo?" I ask him as he stirs in his chair from my intense glare.

"Yes, in fact, I do," he says as I smile.

"Wait really!" I say as excitement flows through my body. Neo is gonna be ok!

"Yes, however, she is quite far away from beacon, that and you won't be able to use a bullhead to get there," he says as I shrug

"I don't care about that, can she help!" I ask again as he nods

"Yes, she can," he says enlightened by the look on my face.

"Ok, where!" I ask him as he gives me directions and a location on my scroll

"Ok...thank you. I guess this would be a great time to ask if I can have a little break from school," I say as he chuckles

"Consider this a mission," he says smirking.

"I will...thank you,"
