Family
I had an amazing childhood. My parents always did their best at giving me everything that I possibly could want.
My family came from the middle class, but we always had that money curse at us. Every time my parents paid off their debts, there came something that made them new ones.
When I was three years old we moved for the first time. We have relocated from a small apartment to a bigger house. We lived with my grandparents, in a big two floor house and small garden.
First time I went to daycare was after my fourth birthday. Before, i had a great aunt, which was like my other mother. She did everything for me, everything i could possibly wanted. I was really spoiled by her. She loved me very deeply. She was actually my fathers aunt, and she suffered for type two diabetes.
She was that weird aunt we all have, but I really loved her ghost stories. She knew exactly how to fill up my imagination. Even now, when I look up the certain hill or woods, I can recall her stories in my memory. I had always respected her, and my baby girl had her birthday at the same date as my aunt had. Maybe she is my reincarnated aunt, and now is my time to take care of her! She has lived with heart in her hands and she didn't forget to say goodbye, in her individualistic weird kind of way!
It was a late afternoon, and my father was getting ready for the night shift. The old phone started to ring so weirdly. I was a kid, I was fast, so I jumped up and answered it. There was pure silence, not even a breath. I thought of a broken line, something was just wrong with the phone. But it didn't stop ringing right until my father answered it. He was all mad, he thought someone was making fun of us! Then it was all quiet! Not much time ahead, the bell rang. It was our aunt's friend. He brought us news that our aunt passed away an hour and a half ago, right at the time our phone rang!
For my fifth birthday I got the most beautiful, little furry gift from my aunt. It was a little hamster, and I named him Miško(mousy). I took good care for that little sweetness. He was my best friend for the next 4 years. He was a part of our family.
After he passed away, I got a black bunny. I have no idea why I couldn't remember his name. I remember that everywhere he went, there were little balls of poo after him. Hahaha! We made a mistake by putting cat sand into his cage. He made a big white cloud with his hopping. My grandmother was very angry, that sand was all around the house. We put him away to my fathers sister in the countryside. I have always wondered what his life was like after.
Next sweet little furry friend accompanied us after we relocated and lived by ourselves in a small apartment. Some people say: " Old and new don't get together!" That means, my grandparents wanted to live by their rules and my parents wanted to have more freedom in choosing their own decisions.
Ricky was my long furred black cat, with a small white dot in front, right beneath his head. He was my best friend, my confidant and when I had a bad day, I just snuggled with him. He always made me feel better, no matter the situation.
Last kitten that was mine and only mine, was my second cat Mačo. We got him after Ricky passed away, and we got him till he got sick. That happened a few years after I moved away from my ex partner. Mačo got water in his lounges, we couldn't help him. I had a chance to say goodbye to him. One day before i was there to cuddle him. He was so calm and cuddly. I had no idea what was going on with him.
By living with my ex partner, they didn't want animals in their house. They had this rule, that animals are outside creatures. I had a really hard time understanding this. I was used to having a cat with me in my bed. I would even take our dogs inside and cuddle them. But no, there was a rule and we needed to obey it. I missed the animals with me so much, I regularly went outside and stayed with them for hours. When there was a storm outside, I sat with dogs for hours to make them calm.
Now while I am living back in my apartment, I regularly think about getting myself a cat. Dogs are not for the apartments, they need a place to run. That time will come very soon. I need these cuddles! Animals alway was like familiar to me!
Otherwise I have a confidant in my mother. She was always there no matter what. We are still very close and sometimes we call each other just to tell ourselves some nonsense. She got my back when I got a bad grade at school. It was our secret till I made it better. I told her about my bullies. I told her about my first boyfriend. She always gave me a good opinion on everything. Even if I was scared, she always knew how to calm me down.
Now it is my time to teach my kids everything. How to care for the animals, nature, how to give to the people. How to be successful but still humble and grateful for what you have! They will always find a confidante in me, no matter the troubles they will be facing!
