Prologue

The world after the Third World War was once and for all united, at least that is what most of the people thought. According to the others, the world was even more separated. The government treated its people like they are their belongings. The ones that were left off were the Wealthiest People. These were the ones that stayed and walked on this blood inked ground. The inhabitants had many questions regarding what will be the life of the future. Once the government settled in the new environment they began to create propaganda. Played in television, proud and bright advertisement was supposed to be a view of tomorrow. It usually portrayed a mother and a father holding a child, living in their family home away from prying eyes. What the government wanted with this ad was to manipulate the people to have more children? This is what they aimed for, building a strong and capable society. Even though the propaganda and the media sounded fake and unreal to some, they still decided to believe it. "For the Greater good" as the advertisement stated.

What this image of the family meant was simple — the government wanted to have more people to manipulate. The propaganda work and soon enough newly born children appeared. Families living in happiness, luxury and love were enjoying their little home life by the time their child aged eighteen. This was when the lovely time came to an abrupt stop and the darker time began.

Children became adults and the voices appeared. The uninvited voices. Soon after their eighteen birthday every being from the new generation suffered the same. People were shocked, some even did not believe in what the eighteen-year-olds were saying. Calling them crazy, dramatic and wrong. All those names got to that generation. First suicide attempts appeared and that was just a beginning. The government was nearly panicking not knowing what to do about those voices. The field of psychiatry was the most wanted in that time, however, there were not many psychiatrists to help. Even they did not know the answer to the asked question and brought up the wanted solution.

Hundreds and thousands young adults committing suicide and none of their parents knowing what to do about it. The only thing they knew was that this was something out of the ordinary, something that needed explanation and action. The lifeless eyes of the dead were the horror of all the parents. The hoisted and wanted generation was all dead. The propaganda did not work, the failed image of the broken family appeared on the television screen. No one was there to help them and no one understood the voices until the government came up with another insane idea. The idea made people sick to their stomach, they were supposed to have another child and according to Men In Power, that ruled that time, this is obligatory. The generation that first gave birth to the children that ended up killing themselves is supposed to live through the same trauma? The Men In Power were sociopaths, as many of the inhabitants perceived them.

This was not all, the government had an ace in their sleeve. The remaining psychiatrists, psychologists and spiritual people, all came up with a solution that was supposed to help. Mindfulness, the tool that was to bring peace to the minds of newly born. Techniques of it were taught in primary school, middle school and high school. The most important subject of all. However, no one knew if this method will work out. The parents of them were called the Old

Generation, their children who committed suicide were considered the Lost Generation and the new breed children were now considered the Haunted Generation. The age of eighteen was their greatest fear.

The story begins now.
