[Chapter 6]:Badass

Bakugou tightly grips the bare skin on my wrist, just below my gloves.

Sorry, that won't work.

A smirk pulls at my lips as steam begins to emit from my arm. A new confidence has begun to surge  through my veins.

The class continues to watch in shock as I stand my ground atop of the angry boy. The boy is so angry that he begins to vibrate under me.

"What...the hell.....is your quirk?" He strains, his tone becoming increasingly more irritated by the second. Iida rushed over to my side and began rambling.

"Hey we are U.A students, show some dignity, this isn't the way to solve disputes." He sternly scolded me while waving his arms robotically.

I didn't move or even look at Iida. "If I move, Bakugou will definitely kill me, but if I don't he will definitely kill me later." This is a lose-lose situation. I sighed as the reality of the situation started to hit me."This is so embarrassing, I already ruined my reputation at this school and this is just day one."

My eyes widened as warmth suddenly rushed through my entire body, and I felt a searing pain in my arm, causing me to let out a painful yelp. Bakugou immediately released my arm upon hearing it. I toppled onto the floor gripping my arm.

"What is this feeling?" I whimpered as I glanced at my arm, noticing a burn in the shape of a hand."How...did he....burn me?"

The classes' gaze suddenly shifted towards the doorway. I shot my head over to see a scary-looking man with beaming red eyes, peering dead into my soul.

"It's over for me." I sweatdropped. "Wait, holy shit I'm sweating."

"That's enough." He ordered sternly, his eyes became black, and his hair dropped promptly after. The warmth in my body quickly receded after that.
"Did he get rid of my quirk?" I winced as I pulled myself off of the ground. Iida shot me an "I told you so." look while pushing up his glasses, before returning to his seat.

"Annoying." I inhaled, turning to face the teacher.

"I'm so sorry sir, it won't happen again." I sheepishly apologized, giving a slight bow as Bakugou rose beside me. I noticed him glance down at my arm briefly before we turned to go sit down. The kid didn't even utter an apology he just tched and gave me a side glare on the way to his seat.

"I just ruined everything, nobody will want to talk to me now that I've embarrassed myself in front of the whole class....that also happens to be 1-A."

I sighed, lowering my head, as I moved down the row of eyes burning into my skull. I avoided eye contact with everyone, sitting in a vacant seat in the back by a dual-haired kid. There was a little more whispering before the teacher spoke.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shota." He announced in a bored tone. "Put these on and meet at the training grounds." He continued holding up what I assume to be the gym uniform.

"Kill me right now." I groaned under my breath. I put my head down on the desk upon feeling the gaze of the dual-haired kid shift to me.

----------------

I cowered to the back of the locker room trying desperately to change into my uniform without being noticed. But as I figured, I was surrounded and bombarded with questions anyways.

"Where did you learn those kickass moves?"

"What's your quirk, ribbit?"

"That was so plus ultra!"

"What's your name?"

"I...I uh." I stuttered, beginning to tremble before a tall girl with a black ponytail began to disperse the crowd.

"Hey....guys leave her be, she's obviously shy." She announced giving me a soft smile, causing me to just become a nervous wreck clutching my gym uniform tighter.

"She wasn't shy when she bodied Bakugou." A girl with earphone jacks for ears chuckled before extending a hand out to me.

"The name's Jiro, and don't worry, I think it was pretty badass what you did back there." She stated as we shook hands. I felt some of the nervousness exit my body as she pulled back.

"You guys...can call me Y/N."I tilted my head slightly, smiling at Jiro, then at the rest of the girls before almost everyone returned to change.

"Hi Y/N, I remember you from the practical!" The brunette cheerfully announced. "You can call me Uraraka." She smiled brightly at me with a thumbs up before she returned, leaving only the tall black-haired girl.

"You can call me Momo. Don't let those guys get under your skin, I'm sure most of them mean well." She beamed before leaving me to change.

"Wow, I just met so many people at once, what if I don't remember their names." I exhaled beginning to change into the uniform, wincing as the fabric made contact with my burn.

----------------------

"A quirk assessment test?" I shivered as Aizawa monologued to us about the hero world.

"Bakugou, what was your farthest distance throw with a softball in junior high?" I glanced over at the hedgehog curiously.

"Sixty-seven meters, I think."He stated calmly.

"Right.....now try it with your quirk." He stated calmly. I heard Audible gasps and whispers come from the group as Bakugou stepped up to the circle.

"Anything goes just stay in the circle."He stated boredly.

"This should be interesting." I focused intently on the ash-blond who was now stretching.

"Alright, you asked for it." He declared before winding up and blasting the ball up into the sky with immense force from an explosion.

"DIEEEEEEEEEEE!" He bellowed as the ball flew out of sight.

"Wow, so his quirk isn't the same as the devil's....he can actually make explosions." I watched in awe before Aizawa showed us the device. My Jaw dropped.

"Seven-hundred and Five .......meters?" A kid with mustard lightning bolt hair and I stated in shock simultaneously. My gaze shifted to him. I flinched as we locked eyes, he returned a flirtatious smirk before I sheepishly smiled and turned to face Aizawa again.

The atmosphere became very light-hearted as students around me began to get pumped up and expressed how excited they were to go next. Aizawa's cold stare instantly killed the vibe.

"So this looks fun....huh." He stated coldly. "You have three years to become heroes, do you think it will be all fun and playtime." He continued, locking eyes with me. I felt myself become smaller.

"Idiots." He smiled menacingly, before explaining that we would go through eight physical tests and that whoever placed in last would be expelled instantly.

"WHATTT!" Almost everyone screamed in sync.

"I get to decide how this class gets ran and if you have a problem...you can leave right now." He widened his eyes and smiled even more menacing than before.

"The hero course is going to be so intense...if I even survive today." I internally groaned as I played with my gloves.

Test 1: 50-meter dash

"After training with Sanji for so long, I'm sure this will be a breeze." Me and a kid with Scarlet spikey hair, named Kirishima were next. I stepped up to the starting line, giving him a soft smile. He returned a big sharp tooth grin. "Good luck, don't get left in my dust." He stated confidently.

"Oh, just you wait" I smirked to myself as we got in position.

"READY....GO." The robotic voice rang out.

I dashed ahead, my legs pumping back and forth at the highest speed I could execute, leaving Kirishima straggling slightly behind. The wind was irritating my burn, but it was bearable. Before I knew it, I reached the finish line.

"5.30 seconds" I slumped over attempting to catch my breath as Kirishima arrived seconds later.

"7.78 seconds." He also followed suit, giving me a side smile.

"Damn...I guess you left me in the dust...that's....p..pretty manly to be honest." He uttered breathlessly, giving me a high five.

"Thank....you." I smiled as we went on to watch the rest of the students.

"What does he mean by...manly."

Test 2: Grip strength

I squeezed the device with all of my might, but still ended up with 50 kg, while a kid with multiple limbs ended up with 540kg. "I'm not doing so hot." I sighed moving on to the next test.

Test 3: Standing long jump

I propelled myself forward with a strong jump with my legs, landing towards the end of the sandbox. "Damn it, so many people are clearing it with their quirks. I wish my quirk could help me, at this rate I'll be expelled." I groaned watching Izuku land even further back than me. "Why isn't he using his flying quirk?."

Test 5: Ball throw

My ball throw ended up being 50 meters, very disappointing compared to everyone else. I sighed as I watched Uraraka step up to the circle and throw the ball with her quirk. At this point, I'm sure I'm the one being expelled.

"INFINITY!" Everyone's jaws dropped as Aizawa showed us the device depicting an infinity symbol. Uraraka skipped proudly back to us smiling cheerfully.

"Everyone is doing so good...I need to step my game up." I gulped as Izuku made his way to the circle. "As bad as it sounds, I know this expulsion will be between Izuku and I....but I can't let this be the end."

My eyes widened as Izuku just stood motionlessly staring at the ball.

"If he doesn't shape up soon, he'll be the one going home," Iida stated with his arms crossed. My eyes darted to the four-eyed boy.

"OF COURSE HE WILL, HES A QUIRKLESS LOSER." Bakugou spat in Iida's face.

"Quirkless?" I whispered to myself before I shot my eyes back to Izuku who was sweating profusely. "Not according to what I witnessed in the practical." I frowned, becoming confused at the whole situation.

Suddenly Izuku winded up and threw the ball with all of his might.

"46 meters." My jaw dropped as I watched the utter confusion on Izuku's face become evident.

"I erased your quirk," Aizawa stated, his scarf and hair levitating.

"Aw...poor kid why didn't he just use his flying quirk on the other tests." I watched Izuku's face drop as Aizawa scolded him about...breaking bones and being a liability.

Everyone around me was whispering amongst themselves, while I just stayed to myself, watching Izuku get monologued to. I couldn't really hear what Aizawa was saying, but I could tell it was intense.

After a few more seconds Izuku returned to the circle with his head lowered. When he raised his head I noticed new determination in his cyan eyes. He winded up for another throw, blasting the ball away with an energy blast that sent a small shockwave through the group.

My jaw dropped once again, as multiple gasps erupted from the class upon seeing 705.3 meters on the device. Izuku was gripping his hand tightly with tears in his eyes but was still smiling.

"How did he..." My thoughts were interrupted when Bakugou barreled towards Izuku.

"HEY DEKU YOU BASTARD, TELL ME HOW YOU DID THAT OR YOU'RE DEAD!!!" The angry chia pet yelled before being stopped dead in his tracks by Aizawa's scarf.

"Welp it's over for me." I sighed lowering my head. I lost motivation for the rest of the test."Maybe Hitoshi can take my spot when I get expelled."

Test 6,7,8

I'm a pretty athletic person, but these tests made it hard to excel. Everyone had a way to get higher scores with their quirks, and people like me had no advantage.

In the repeated sidestep, I got an average score. It was nothing compared to the purple grape kid, who used the balls on his head to get an incredible score.

My scores were also not too high in the distance run, toe touch, and sit-ups. Everything was average. My nerves began to get the best of me as we gathered for results.

I began trembling as Aizawa made the screen pop up before us. I played with my gloves as my eyes scanned the screen. 'Y/N....Y/N....Y/N." I inched closer and closer to the bottom of the list, till I arrived there. My eyes widened and my breath hitched as I read my name in dead last below Izuku.

"L/N, F/N"
