[Chapter 27]: Everything

"You forgot this..."

Hitoshi...

Why the hell is he here?

Why can't he just leave me alone for just five fucking seconds?

Anger immediately began to bubble inside me as I spun to face the head of violet.

"Hitoshi....why the f-"

"OMG Y/N IS THAT YOUR BOYFRIEND?!" Mina basically screamed at the top of her lungs as she barreled over to my side. This caused everyone's attention to land on me and a stoic Hitoshi.

"Mina..." I simply stated, my voice laced with seriousness as I kept my stone-cold gaze on Hitoshi. The pinkette's eyes widened as she began to read the tension between us. But that quickly changed once Hitoshi spoke.

"Oh...Hi Mina...nice to meet you! I've heard lots of positive things about you!" Hitoshi started in a lighthearted tone, sending Mina and I a soft smile before turning his gaze to the rest of the group. "I'm so excited to play laser tag with you guys, hope you don't mind a General Studies kid joining in on the fun." He continued with a rub of his neck, receiving enthusiastic go aheads from Mina, Sero, Kaminari, and Jirou.

Katsuki and Kirishima looked equally mortified.

And I was pissed.

I quickly spun Hitoshi to face me, glaring deeply into his violet eyes.

Now that I'm looking directly into his eyes, I've noticed that his violet eyes are a glossy tint of red.

He wouldn't...there is no way.

"Are you fucking high Toshi...?" I seethed out lowly as I pulled him aside, shifting my gaze to the group momentarily.

The rest of the group remained huddled up in line excitedly, but Katsuki kept his gaze on me the whole time. I sent him a small head nod to let him know that everything is alright.

But I soon began to shake in anger once Hitoshi responded with a small chuckle, instantly confirming my suspicions.

"It's not funny Toshi...what the fuck are you doing to yourself? Answer me."

"What am I doing to myself...?" He questioned with another chuckle, his tone still lighthearted in contrast to my anger. I parted my lips slightly in complete and utter disbelief.

I can't just sit and watch him fall apart in front of my eyes.

"We are leaving right now. I can't keep watching you slowly lose yourself." I spoke in a less hostile tone, as the reality of the situation began to set in.

"Sorry guys, I have to go," I called out to the group, not even giving them time to respond as I grabbed Hitoshi by the hoodie sleeve and began to drag him along with me.

Seconds later I felt a tug on my shoulder.

"Where the hell are you going." Katsuki's voice sounded from behind me. I spun to face the ash blond. He held a worried expression as his scarlet eyes locked with mine.

"Home...don't ask...just leave me alone, I'll be over at your house tomorrow," I spoke void of any emotion, causing Katsuki to furrow his brows.

As I began to turn to leave again, the ash-blond grabbed my shoulder once more, firmly this time to turn me around.

"Hey what the fuck is going on with you, I'm not stupid..." Katsuki spoke again. His scarlet eyes bored deep into my E/C eyes, almost like he was searching for an inconsistency in the composition of my eyes.

Before I opened my mouth to speak, Hitoshi had spun around and spoken first.

"You heard what the hell she said right?" He spoke coldly, contradicting his earlier lighthearted tone.

As he spoke the words, I watched Katsuki's expression darken.

"WHA-" He started before I watched his eyes gloss over.

You gotta be kidding me.

"Leave her alone." He spoke almost instantly after, causing Katsuki to turn and walk off back to the group without another word.

He's going to be pissed later...

I grabbed Hitoshi roughly by the hoodie sleeve and began to pull him out of the arcade.

"What the fuck did I tell you about using your quirk in public Toshi. That's fucking illegal...you can get arrested, but you obviously don't give a fuck anymore. I could've made him leave myself, I didn't need your help." I lectured the insomniac as I pulled him through the countless games and conversing people in the buzzing arcade.

Kirishima POV

I tried to convince Bakugou to just leave Y/N alone to speak to Hitoshi, but he was hell-bent on getting her to come back.

I watched him from a distance try to convince Y/N to come back to us. Y/N honestly looked pissed. I don't know what that purple-haired freak said to anger her, but it couldn't have been good if she wants to leave the whole arcade after his arrival.

I'm not surprised though.

I need to hurry up and come up with a plan to confront him. I need to get justice for Mineta, even if that justice comes in the form of me getting him expelled. I know that Y/N is close with him, but she probably just doesn't know what kind of person he truly is.

I just need evidence.

I was pulled out of my thoughts once Hitoshi spun around, glaring at Bakugou.

The sight instantly brought me back to the day that I witnessed Mineta and him have that argument in the hall.

This isn't good.

I took a singular step in their direction, instantly halting once I watched Bakugou's whole body relax before he spun around and headed towards me.

His eyes.

His quirk...

Seconds later Hitoshi and Y/N left. I instantly ran up to Bakugou, quickly punching him in the shoulder to break him out of it.

"Alright everyone, if you are participating in laser tag please enter now." The woman at the laser tag door called out as she extended a welcoming hand out to the group.

"That bastard fucking brainwashed me." Bakugou instantly spoke, rubbing his temples as he looked back at the place where he stood earlier.

"Come on guys you're gonna miss it!"
Sero called out to Bakugou and I, as the group crowded into the room.

"Brainwash...? How does that work...?" I questioned, analyzing Bakugou's state as we headed towards the laser tag room.

He looked pissed

First Person POV

Once we were out of the arcade and a good distance down the street, I shoved Hitoshi back against a brick wall in pure anger.

"Hitoshi...I don't even know if I know you anymore! The old you wouldn't just use your quirk on anyone without their permission. The old you never would have done dru-" I started before Hitoshi's stone-cold gaze met mine.

"The old you wouldn't have lied to me." He uttered at a broken whisper, instantly pushing himself off of the wall and shoving both hands in his pockets as he walked away from me.

"HEY, YOU DON'T GET TO SAY THAT AFTER YOU FUCKING IGNORED ME FOR DAYS AFTER THE USJ, AND-"

I paused as I realized where we were walking.

"And after C/N...." I spoke softer as I began to notice the cop cars and ambulances that littered the area around the alleyway where we found C/N.

What happened here...

Hitoshi continued walking ahead of me, seeming completely unbothered by my outburst as we passed by all of the emergency workers.

I sped up my pace, making sure to pass by quickly and unnoticed, just in case the devil was present.

"Toshi...." I called out softly once we passed all of the chaos.

No answer.

"Hitoshi..." I called out louder this time, as I increased my pace.

No answer. Only the sound of our shoes padding against the worn-down sidewalk, and faint sirens could be heard.

"SHINSOU!" I yelled, causing him to finally halt. He stood motionlessly and didn't bother to answer or face me.

Once I arrived at his side, I finally noticed that tears were steadily streaming down both sides of his face as he stared off into the distance.

I felt my eyes well up with tears at the sight. Hitoshi is really at his breaking point. Me yelling at him and telling him that he has changed isn't going to help him.

And it doesn't help that I have to move out tomorrow.

He's going through a lot and I need to understand. It's going to be hard but I really need to have patience with him. Not everyone works the same. Some people need more time than others.

Once I faced Hitoshi, he pulled an object from his pocket.

"C-Can you j-just light this...p-please..." He choked out in broken sobs, as he desperately held a marijuana joint in front of my face with his trembling fingers.

Tears began to fall from my eyes as I pulled off my right glove.

It's for his own good.

A small whimper escaped Hitoshi's lips as I took the entire joint in my hand, burning it into nothing but ash.

"No...I won't." I spoke softly, letting the pile of ash fall to the concrete before pulling my glove back on, and trying to meet his gaze.

He wouldn't look at me

"H-Hitoshi...look at me..." I spoke at almost a whisper as I took his hands in mine. His eyes slowly but surely made their way to meet mine.

"I just want to forget...." Hitoshi spoke almost inaudibly, before trailing his gaze down to the pile of ash that was suppose to be his escape from reality.

"Forget what Toshi....?" I responded, lifting his chin up from the floor so that he would meet my gaze again.

"Everything...."
