This story was inspired by my first month home from college. Feeling isolated from friends, stuck in the house because the heat of the summer restricted me to the indoors (no job yet), I felt completely alone. My solitude seemed so severe back then in the suburbs, that I felt stuck in my own mind; so comes the title, Mind.

I might as well have been alone on Mars.

The movies Her and Ex Machina also inspired me. As did the real-life AI robot, Sophia.
