Kim Taehyung, the boy who has been running behind the boy since day one of their meeting. He's basically a pet dog of the kitty. It's hard to believe that now a cat named Min Yoongi, has a dog as his pet.
I looked at both the brothers in disbelief.
Kim Taehyung is Namjoon's brother?
I questioned inside my head as I compared their surnames and the sharp striking features. They indeed had the same surnames and had the same striking features.
"So you're Namjoon's brother? The one he has been talking about since forever?" I couldn't hold myself and spat the things I had been thinking. "And the friend you've been talking about is none but this kitty?" I kept a hand on my mouth after I was done with the talking.
"Kitty?" Namjoon questioned.
I almost forgot that Namjoon was in this room. I turned to him with a nervous smile, thinking of an answer.
"How did you know them?" Namjoon started asking questions out of curiosity as he looked at me, waiting for an answer.
On the other side, I was standing there fiddling with my hands while thinking of a white lie.
"She gave it to me as a nickname. Our family are great friends of each other before we were even born. We used to study together in the same school and we're the one you call besties but she transferred here when she graduated elementary school." Yoongi spoke as if he knew this would happen and told him the complete opposite of what the truth was. I shot him a death glare and he avoided it as if it was nothing.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier, Young-Hee? You seemed to tell me everything but you hid this from me," He frowned. "Anyways, take a seat on the couch and by that time I'll come with the snacks." Namjoon told us before excusing himself and getting to the kitchen to bring the snacks. I sat on the single seater sofa of a turquoise colour and the other two sat on the three seater couch.
"Why did you tell him like that?" I whispered, not wanting Namjoon to hear me.
"I didn't want to make him upset and be conscious when he's around us. I thought you were smarter than me, Song Young-Hee." He said my name in a mocking manner as my skin crawled hearing my name come out from his filthy mouth.
"Thank you for remembering my name, Min Yoongi." It was the first time I voiced out his full name after meeting him again and I absolutely hated that name.
"So, you really are Namjoon's brother?" I asked Taehyung, ignoring the kitty sitting beside him.
"Yes! But he was in Seoul from the start so I didn't get to meet him so much but now I'll be able to see him everyday!" He giggled and showed his boxy smile.
The awkward silence came and no one thought of breaking it until Namjoon reached the living room with the snacks in his hand. He placed the snacks on the table happily and took a seat beside Taehyung.
"You told you're not the eldest one and there's one more brother of you so, who's the eldest?" I asked him as I ate the snack.
"His name's Kim Seokjin. He's in aboard for now. He loves travrling to different places and tasting their cuisines. But he has planned on stopping here by this June so you can see him in a few months." He smiled revealing his deep dimples on either sides of his cheek.
We continued talking about other topics and soon, it was dark.
"It's late! I should get going now," I told them as I stood up from the couch and bowed before heading towards the main door.
"Wait Young-Hee, I can drop you off." Namjoon stood up from his couch as well and walked up to me. "I'll be back in a few minutes, guys." Namjoon informed the two before grabbing his coat and walking out of the dorm with me.
We walked together under the night sky with hands dug inside our pocket while the cool air brushed against our cheeks, giving us a shiver.
"This time spring is taking time to reach." He spoke as he rubbed his palms, trying to warm them.
"Even spring has learnt how to procrastinate." I shook my head, disappointed in spring's neglect.
He gave out a small laugh and nodded his head in agreement.
Soon, we passed by a familiar alley. It was dark with a flickering streetlight standing beside it, almost failing to give light to the alley while a few garbage bins stood near it, providing the lonely streetlight some company.
"Remember how you were there last year?" He looked at the said place and laughed while recalling the memories from last year.
"I still get embarrassed of how helpless I looked at that time," I said while looking everywhere but him. "But, I'm still grateful to you for noticing me and offering me your help." I spoke after a few seconds.
"A lot has changed since then." He stated while staring at the night sky.
"Indeed." I smiled while copying his actions.
We had now reached my shared house and I bowed to thank him for the company. We wished each other a good night and went back to our houses.
I entered the the house to find Yuri wrapped up in her comforter like a burrito while sitting on the couch and watching TV.
"Oh, you're back!" She cheered after moving her attention from the TV screen to me.
"Hmm," I hummed before entering my room.
Pacing around my room, I recalled the incidents from today, a few questions lingering in my mind.
I tapped my phonecase as I thought of doing it or not. After telling myself a lot of 'maybe's' I decided to call her and clear my doubts. I went to the contacts and swiped through my contacts until I reached a certain contact I was searching for. My fingers tapped the call button and brought the phone near my ear as I waited for her to answer the call. After a few rings, she answered.
"Hey sweetie! What's up with calling me in such a late hour?" I heard the familiar voice speak with worry laced in her voice from the other line.
"Mom it's just.." I trailed thinking how to bring up the conversation which I wanted to talk about. "I haven't talked to you in a while and also my highschool year started from today so I thought of calling you." I tried to bring up a normal conversation and I succeeded in doing it. We talked about all the things we missed while we weren't in touch.
"You should've seen her face! She was so pissed off that she was looking like an annoyed witch!" She laughed as she continued dissing Mrs. Min, a member of our rival family. That was a good chance to bring up what I was thinking of.
"Ah, I missed it. What about her son? I haven't heard of him since so long."
"As you've now brought this thing, I must say there's something fishy going on in their family. A few days ago, I didn't find the boy sitting on the balcony in the evening which is his daily habit. That day, I found out he wasn't home. I asked them about his whereabouts and they answered that he has went to India to meet his uncle." She continued with worry laced in her voice.
"But accordibg to my research, they don't have any relatives in India. They surely are hiding something." By that time she completed telling her doubts about the Min family, I was left with shock written all over my face.
Don't they know that Yoongi has transferred to Seoul?
