Birthday Party
"Jimin! Get the baby!"
Jimin huffed at his husband's request for the thousandth time. They were so going to be late...again.
"Taeyong!" Jimin screamed at the little boy who ran around in nothing but his underwear. His brother Mark followed close behind with his bottoms. He waved the denim material in the air like it was some sort of flag.
"Hey! Give it back to him!" Jimin picked up the younger boy, he swung his legs in the air and giggled. "Give it!" he repeated himself. Taeyong snatched the pants from the small hands and began putting them on.
"O can I have a cookie before we go?" Mark asked looking over his shoulder to his father. Jimin rolled his eyes, he'd declined the offer several times already in the past half hour yet the boy still asked.
"No, now sit on the couch while I go get your sister."
The boys obeyed. With their small legs they ran as fast a five and a six year old could to the couch. Jimin smiled and shook his head as as he younger one struggled to climb on. With the help of his brother he made it up and swung his little legs against the sofa.
"Honey have you seen my watch!?"
"First drawer!"
"It's not here!"
Jimin sighed and postponed his visit to the baby room just a little longer. He walked into his and Yoongi's shared bedroom where his husband was bent down by the bed. He was making faces at the giggling baby on the bed.
"Why did you take Lisa out of her crib Yoongi?" Jimin asked annoyed as he saw a stain on the girl's pink shirt. He left the room in search for another shirt and returned not to long after. He dropped the shirt on the baby's head causing her to go into a fit of giggles.
"You want the gold one?" He asked as he rummaged through the messy drawer. Yoongi didn't answer so he took that as a yes.It didn't take long for him to find it. He set down the accessories on the top of the drawer and went to pick up the almost year old girl.
He held her up and let her pick at his nose with her little hands. "Why are you like this?"
"Dada!" Taeyong came running into the room without pants again. Jimin ignored his pleads while he changed his daughter into another pink shirt. "Ask your father." he finally said.
"Papa!" the boy ran in his father's direction. He was greeted warmly into his embrace and taken out to the living room. Jimin followed them soon after redressing Lisa. The three other males were gathered by the door already, thankfully Taeyong already had his pants on.
"Okay boys!" Jimin screamed and they quiet down. "You two will behave, understood?" He bent down and stared each boy in the eye. "Tae you will not take your pants off and if he does," he looked at the younger boy, "Mark you will not run around with them. Do I make myself clear?"
They both smiled, exposing the gaps in between their teeth and nodded.
"Yes Dada!"
"Yes Dad!"
Jimin smiled and stood up straight again. Yoongi opened the door and the family walked out together. One step out the door and the two boys ran off.
"Be careful!" Yoongi yelled after them as they ran across the trimmed lawn to their vehicle. "I swear it's like having Hoseok and Taehyung as kids." he huffed.
"Must be why you fell in love the moment you saw them right?" Jimin looked over to his husband and smiled. Yoongi put his arms around him and just grinned.
"We're late." Jimin said softly, the smile still on his face.
"When aren't we?"

"Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooongi Hyuuuuuuung!"
Yoongi handed his baby girl to Jimin and ran towards the ten year old. They met halfway in a hug that lasted a lot longer than anyone expected.
"Sehun's been dying to see him." Kyungsoo chuckled. He greeted Jimin and each of the boys before sending them off to play with the rest. "Is everyone else here?" Jimin questioned.
Kyungsoo nodded. "They're all out by the pool, you did bring the boy's swimming trunks right?" Jimin smacked the baby bag on his side and nodded. He was always prepared. With those two troublemaker he always had to be.
"Why don't you go say hi? I'll take little Lisa." Kyungsoo extended his arms out and Jimin gladly handed her over. "I'm sure uncle Jongin is going to be happy to see you." Kyungsoo kissed the baby's cheek and walked off.
Jimin waved her goodbye and turned to where he last saw Yoongi. Another boy was now with the two, the birthday boy. Jimin congratulated him and let them run off with the other children. He interlocked his hands with Yoongi and together they walked out to the back yard.
"I hope they've got beer." Yoongi commented as he picked up a juice box at a table. Jimin giggled and took a sip from the box. "I doubt it."
"JIMINIE! YOONGS!" Hoseok screamed from the pool. He lied on a floatie with nothing but a pair of sunglasses and swimming trunks. Floating besides him was Taehyung, he appeared to be asleep.
They greeted all the familiar faces, not like any there were unknown. They took a seat in the empty lawn chairs besides Jin and Namjoon.
"Where's your kids?" Yoongi asked as he took Namjoon's water bottle. He was about to take a sip when Jimin snatched the bottle from him. "No." he whispered and drank from it himself. Yoongi scoffed as he watched his husband's face scrunch up as he gulped down the 'water'.
"Right there." Jin pointed to a soaking wet Jungkook who walked towards them with a little girl in his arms and a floppy pink hat. He handed Jin the hat and ran after the girl who managed free from his grasp.
"I remember when we were like that." Yoongi mumbled as he pulled Jimin's lawn chair closer to his. Jimin held his hand and stared out at the children free couple. "Yeah...not that I'd wish our life any other way."
Yoongi nodded and kissed the back of his hand. "Me either, I like our dysfunctional family." Jimin smiled."We might need to find new babysitters you know." Yoongi cocked an eyebrow and his eyes fell to his spouse. "What do you mean? I know they're somewhat crazy but it matches our kids' personalities and they do it for free. Please don't-"
Jimin's giggle cut him off so he waited for him to talk. "The adoption center sent the final confirmation. Hobi Hyung doesn't know yet."
Jimin caught the smile that formed on his husband's lips. They were all happy for them, the process was long, they all knew that.
The rest of the party was spent conversing and watching after all the children. By end of the night everyone was exhausted, tired out from the joyful day. The boys slept peacefully on the their parent's bed, they had refused to go to their own. Lisa's crib was even brought into the room.
"Taozi's gotten so big..."Jimin commented. "I remember when he invited us to his fifth birthday party. I feel old."
"I've known him since he was first brought home, how do you think I feel." Yoongi chuckled as he handed him the wine glass. Jimin gladly took it and sat down on the sofa.
"You know I never thought we'd make it here." Yoongi said as he sat besides his husband. He wrapped an arm around his shoulder and out looked the beautiful night from their rooftop. "Me either." Jimin mumbled as he swirled the drink in his cup.
"Even if we hadn't gotten this lucky, I would be happy. As long as I have my three babies and my prince at my side nothing can change that. Not the location, not the time, and definitely not a person."
Jimin smiled. His gaze fell to his hand, the ring on it his fourth finger. He felt the same.
"Dad?" Mark soft voice reached their ears but his face was nowhere to be seen. "Come on out baby." Jimin titled his head to try to look past the door frame. The boy held onto the wall, "LaLaLisa's crying." he mumbled.
"I've got it." Yoongi handed over his untouched glass and Jimin set both theirs down on the small table. He smiled and patted the spot next to him, Mark happily strolled to him. He was wrapped up in his blanket, it dragged along the concrete.
"Dad why are you and Papa up here?" he asked as he settled into his father's arms. Jimin shrugged, "Weather's nice baby. I'm sorry your sister woke you up." he petted his brown locks.
"Dada..." Taeyong marched outside as well except unlike his brother he looked angry. "She woke me up!" he whined and pointed behind him. Yoongi came out with the baby in his arms all wrapped up, a bottle in his hands.
"Quit your whining." Yoongi pushed the kid forward with his hand on his head. Taeyong sent his father a glare but moved along. He sat down on the opposite side of his brother and cuddled into his father's side.
Jimin rubbed his eldest temple while he watched Yoongi sit with their youngest in his hands. They sat listening to the boys ramble in their groggy voices about how tired the party had made them but how happy it had made them feel.
Jimin turned to Yoongi and smiled. It was worth the trouble.
Eventually sleep took over them both and their sister. They slept under the moon in the warm weather soundly. Jimin's slowly began closing and his head quit rubbing Taeyong's hair.
"Hey Prince?"
"Mmh?"
"I love you."
He smiled.
"I love you too."
