"Phil can you stay in tonight I need you to sit with nana while we're out shopping."

"Sure mum."

Phil smiles pulling out his phone and texting Dan to let him know that he wouldn't be able to make it out tonight. Waving his parents off Phil sits with his nan turing on the newest episode of Buffy to watch.

"How's school going dear?"

"It's well I'm passing all my classes and looking into my options for classes next year."

"That's wonderful I'm proud of you how's Dan?"

"He's doing great he just got finished being sick so he's taking it easy right now he's a bit disappointed we couldn't go out to see the stars the last week but I'll make it up to him this weekend."

"Such a sweet boy you should invite him over to the next family lunch it will be nice to see him."

"I'll talk to him and see what he says."

Phil chuckles turning his attention to the tv wanting nothing more than to see his boyfriend play his nan in checkers again.  When Phil finally goes to bed he looks out his window thinking of Dan when his phone lights up he smiles seeing Dan's name flash across the screen.

"Hello?"

"It's me."

"Hi me I'm Phil."

"Hush you how was your night?"

"It was nice I enjoyed getting to spend time with my nana she wants you to come to our next family lunch she wants to see you again and I'm sure verse you at another game of checkers like last time."

"She's got skills I'll give her that so what are you doing?"

"Laying in bed I was thinking of you so maybe you heard my thoughts."

"Nah I just missed you."

Phil laughs pulling his blankets over his chest listening to his boyfriend babble on about the last checker game.
