"Dan are you here?"

Phil calls walking up the stairs he softly knocks on Dan's door turning the handle peering inside he sees Dan wrapped in his blankets fast asleep. Smiling Phil walks over sitting on the edge of Dan's bed shaking the younger lad's shoulder wondering why he was asleep.

"Mm Phil?"

Dan yawns rubbing his eyes looking up at his boyfriend Phil smiles pressing a kiss to his forehead.

"You're burning up what's wrong?"

"Nothing I just don't feel too good I laid down after dinner thinking it would help but I feel gross and cold and hot."

"Where's the thermometer?"

"Bathroom left drawer."

Walking into the bathroom Phil grabs the thermometer putting it under Dan's tongue waiting for it to beep he pulls back. 

"Thirty-eight point three you got a temperature love we're not going to the field tonight."

"But Phil."

"No buts Daniel it's not warm enough for you to be out with a fever you need to rest here now take this medicine."

"If I refuse?"

"Mrs. Howell!"

"Alright shut up I'll take it."

Dan grumbles taking the medicine a shiver causing him to slide back under the blankets.

"You called Phil?"

"Would it be alright if I stayed the night I'll call my parents and ask as well but Dan isn't feeling too well and I would like to stay with him. That's if it's alright with you and Mr. Howell I want to help him any way I can."

"I don't mind at all Dan did you take medicine?"

"Yes mum."

"Good I hope you feel better in the morning darling and thank you Phil."

Both wishing her a goodnight Phil calls his house speaking briefly with his mum about staying with Dan.

"I'm to be home after lunch because we're going to see my grandparents but I'm allowed to stay."

"You don't have to stay I don't want you to get sick."

"Do you want me to leave then?"

"No."

Dan says reaching his arms out for Phil to crawl into the bed next to him Dan curls into Phil's chest closing his eyes against the dizzy feeling he has.

"I really hate being sick."

"Most people do."

"It sucks we can't go out to look at the stars."

Dan sighs yawning Phil hums softly running his fingers through Dan's hair helping to relax him waiting for his breathing to even out Phil slips from the bed. Changing into the spare night clothes he leaves here Phil grabs his toothbrush cleaning his teeth and washing his face once finished he adjusts Dan's curtains so they can see the stars through the trees.

"Phil? Are you coming back to bed?"

"Yeah I thought you were sleeping."

Phil whispers wrapping his arm around Dan's waist who rubs his eyes kissing Phil's cheek as he settles into the pillows.

"I have to go to the bathroom but I really don't want to move at all I feel like I'll fall."

"Well we don't want that."

He smiles scooping Dan up and carrying him into the bathroom making sure he can stand alone Phil waits outside the door. When Dan opens it after finishing Phil kisses his forehead picking him back up and carrying him to bed.

"Thank you for taking care of me."

"You're welcome love sleep well."

"You too and thank you for the stars."

Dan mumbles happy to have got a glimpse at his beloved star filled sky Phil nuzzles his nose into Dan's hair.

"Anything for my starboy."
