After some discussion with Naomi, and a bit of extra work making yet another set of fake IDs, she'd officially joined the taskforce.

You, L and Naomi were all on the same page: wanting to investigate Light further. And with the taskforce being personally connected to Light you all knew they'd probably disapprove. So having Naomi on your side you help a lot. Today you were going to introduce her to the rest of the taskforce and break the news that you wanted to monitor Light. Although to soften the blow L decided to not mention Light by name yet, just that the Yagami household as well as the household of the deputy director would be monitored.

"Damnit (y/n) you could have left that somewhere more hidden..." L muttered, looking at the every single slightly visible hickey you'd left on his collarbone peeking out from under his shirt.

"Oops" you teased.

L adjusted his shirt, making sure it was hidden.

"We have to stay secret you know"

"I know, but you're the one who asked to be edged and initiated last night" you said with a playful grin.

"Yeah, yeah. Just be more careful where you put your marks next time. At least I left mine somewhere hidden" he replied.

That was true, no one would be looking under your dress pants at your thighs that's for sure. Hearing the door open in the other room, you knew they must be arriving now and L quickly finished pulling the collar of his shirt up to cover the marks before heading out to greet the taskforce. You followed shortly after, having to finish with your jewellery first.

While in Japan you'd already done a lot of shopping, but your most recent purchase was something you knew L would like on you. A dress shirt, kiss marks on the collar and around the neckline to look as if the wearer had been ravished with love. Wearing it with your sapphires was a beautiful coronation, and by far one of your favourite finds so far in Japan.

Since you weren't going out anywhere today you kept it more causal, only the shirt, dress pants and your jewellery. With your hair pulled away from your face so you could work without it distracting you, and a touch of your Dior lip shine that you loved to smear all over L.

When you eventually joined everyone out in the other room, L was explaining there'd be a new taskforce member arriving soon, and to treat her well because she was an ex FBI agent who was the best of the best and deserved the upmost respect.

"I don't doubt her abilities for a second, she's worked under me multiple times and every time she's succeeded. She even began investigating Kira herself before we got back into contact, so she'd already caught up on everything and is serious about catching him. Treat her well, got that?" L explained.

The taskforce nodded in understanding, and almost as if on cue there was a knock at the door. You went to answer it, and as expected it was Naomi.

"You're earlier than expected" you said.

"I couldn't be late to something this important. Thank you for allowing me to join, this means a lot to me" she replied.

"L knows you're a force to be reckoned with in investigation, it'd be stupid not to let you join"

As she stepped in, the collar of your shirt caught her attention and she raised an eyebrow at it.

"That's designer isn't it? I remember passing by it in a window display" she asked.

So she knew a thing or two about fashion as well huh? She definitely looked like the kind to like a bit of elegant fashion here and there, she walked like a runway model with the upmost confidence after all.

"It is, couldn't pass it up" you replied.

"It suits you" she complimented.

"Thanks. Every time I've seen you so far you have something leather on, it's definitely your calling I assume?"

"I don't dabble too deep into high fashion, but leather is always the thing I'm willing to pay extra for"

You found totally see her as a catwalk model in a big leather jacket and the tallest heeled boots on the planet, she carried the confidence of a supermodel and had the features of one too. She had her fashion niche and you had yours, and she was so good at her job she had a whole FBI nickname. You had a feeling you'd really get along with her.

Leading her to the makeshift investigation room, as soon as she entered it was all eyes on her. They couldn't help but wonder how L managed to work with two well dressed bad bitches when he barely left the house and wore the same outfit every day. And you did notice Matsuda's star struck reaction to Naomi, you didn't blame him she was gorgeous.

"There you are, early as usual. This is Naomi, also known as Miraora Massacre in the FBI" L introduced.

"Nice to meet everyone, I hope I can be of use to the investigation and we can solve this together" Naomi said.

The Cheif got up, holding out a hand to shake. Naomi took it and they shared a firm, professional handshake.

"Cheif Yagami, of the NPA. As an Ex FBI agent I have no doubt you'll be of great help to us, thank you for lending your skill" he introduced.

Naomi shot you and L a quick awkward glance. This was Lights father huh? And he was the head of police too? That's going to cause some tension later on she could just feel it.

"Pleasure to work with you" she replied, leaving it at that for now.

L gave everyone a moment to get aquatinted with Naomi, before moving into the task at hand which he knew was going to cause some strife.

"Alright... now we've addressed the FBI agents deaths, the profile of Kira and done what we can to reduce the amount of criminals being publicised we need to move into looking further into the fact Kira has been accessing information only the police know" L began.

"I've made sure to check our system for any weaknesses that could be used for leaks, but I couldn't find anything. I even passed the task over to the IT guys down at the station to be extra sure but they couldn't find anything either" Aizawa explained.

"With the possibility of a leak ruled out that only leaves one explanation... Kira is someone connected to the police force. And for that reason we need to monitor the actions of those involved in the police and their families"

While the taskforce knew it was necessary, they seemed uneasy.

"Isn't that considered a human rights violation if we're basically at stalking them?" Matsuda asked.

"Well... technically. But it's either we break a few rules or let Kira keep killing" L replied.

L had a point, there are very few situations in the world where the end justified the means. But a seemingly supernatural serial killer whose body count is already up in the 100s? Unfortunately some privacy will have to be violated in order to save thousands of lives.

"Venus and I have been looking though the personals details of each police officer to see if they'd have anyone that could potentially access the system behind their backs, and while we found a few there's two in particular I want to focus on, place cameras in the houses of to see what they do when no one is around to watch" L began.

You and Naomi exchanged another glance, knowing where this would be going.

"Even if I don't really like the idea of cameras in peoples houses... I suppose it can't be helped. Who is it?" Matsuda asked

"The Deputy director and his family... and Cheif Yagami and his family" L replied.

As expected, Mr Yagami immediately took offence and gave L a shocked scowl.

"Are you saying my family are suspects?" He asked.

"It's only about 3% but... essentially yes" L replied, way too bluntly and calm for the situation.

"What? Why? This is the Cheif of police were talking about!" Aizawa said.

"He has two teenage children, both of which fit the estimated age rage for Kira. Admittedly the youngest is a bit of a stretch but..."

The Cheif was silent while the rest of the taskforce tried to defend him, only making you, L and Naomi a bit annoyed at his quick they were do so. But you couldn't really blame them since you knew things they'd didn't.

"Fine" Mr Yagami said.

"What?! But what about your wife and daughter?" Matsuda asked.

"I'm well aware of that but if it means clearing suspicion from my family then so be it. L I'm sure already know how much this offends me but if it gets my name off the radar then investigate as deep as needed"

L knew he'd allow it, despite his strong devotion to his family name he was even stronger in his ways of through investigation for the sake of justice.

"Out of respect for the family only he and I will monitor them. And Naomi can monitor the girls bedrooms and when they're in the bathroom. The rest of you will monitor the deputy director. And Venus, you take down anything of note that's reported to you" L said.

"Will do" you replied.

The Cheif seemed understandably mad, but you, L and Naomi knew enough about the oldest son to be suspicious. Even if this turned up nothing it'd confirm or deny Lights 'too perfect to be true' personality or not. He was hiding something and you all knew it.
