{Thirty-Seven}

Fifteen hours later, and a drive through the city to take Jungkook home, Sierra and Taehyung arrived at his penthouse. Sierra was in awe of Taehyung's place but too tired at the moment to tell him how much.

"Finally, here," Taehyung mumbled as he looked into Sierra's restless eyes. As the valet carried their luggage into his room, Taehyung hugged Sierra close. "Let me run you a bath," he whispered into her hair.

Sierra nodded as Taehyung took her hand and led her into the bedroom. As she glanced around, a subtle smile warmed her lips, soaking in the atmosphere and intrigued at the fact that it wasn't what she expected. She paced slowly behind him as he ran water in the porcelain tub that stood alone in a section of his bathroom. Sierra's eyes widened at the elaborate décor throughout it. Taehyung noticed her stare and smiled.

"What?" He asked.

Sierra shook her head. "Nothing. It's just..."

"Too playboy for you?" Taehyung smirked.

Sierra grinned. "No, quite the opposite. You have a beautiful home."

Taehyung walked over to Sierra smiling and hugged her close to him, "beautiful enough to have you here, hm?"

Sierra's heart raced from this, wondering if Taehyung was giving more thought to a future for them. "M-Me here?"

Taehyung quirked his brow but remained silent on Sierra's question. He leaned in, kissing her soft and slow on her already parted lips. Closing his eyes, he allowed himself to savor in the flow of her lips to his while his heart rate spike. With one hand resting on the small of her back, the other crawls to her curly tresses, fingers getting lost in them.

Sierra elicited out a soft moan as she gripped onto Taehyung, pulling him closer as if it was possible. Though tired, his touch awoke other urges inside her, pushing sleep to the bottom of her needs. "Join me." She whispered on his lips as the idea stirred a fever in her.

"Of course, Miss Harper."

The next afternoon, Sierra woke up from what felt like a year of sleep. It's been some time since she's had to adjust to the time difference, and jet lag was hitting her harder than she expected. She glanced over at Taehyung, who was still asleep and smiled at how innocent he seemed.

"Not even close." She mumbled at her thought.

Shifting inside her luggage as quietly as possible, she pulled out something comfortable to wear and tied her curls into a high bun. She slipped out into the kitchen and over to the fridge.

"Wait, he just came back. There is no way he has any food." Sierra mumbled as her hand rested on the handle of the fridge door. "Perhaps I can order something for us." She turned around to grab her phone from the bedroom and met a pair of seething eyes.

Sierra's brows hiked, instantly reading the energy from the young woman standing on the other side of her. The curious lady, however, shifted in her stance, and a realization came to her.

"No fucking way." She uttered.

Sierra's eyes wandered around her before falling back onto the woman. "I'm not sure I'm following."

The stranger moved closer, eyes not leaving Sierra's. "You're her, aren't you?"

Sierra's lips parted to answer, but she held back instead, still wondering who she could be. Taehyung wouldn't have just a random woman at his house, would he?

"I'm Minah, Taehyung's sister. Are you Sierra?" She asked, moving even closer and now standing next to Sierra in the kitchen.

Taehyung's sister? He said he was an only child. Sierra remembered one of the many conversations they held after a moment of passion. "His uh..."

"Did he tell you he was an only child?" Minah rolled her eyes. "He's an ass."

Sierra couldn't help but chuckle. "He did." She held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Minah."

Minah accepted Sierra's gesture and shook her hand. "You don't even know how thrilled I am to see you here. How we all are." She grinned.

"We? There are other siblings?" Sierra wondered.

"No other siblings but the other ones close to Taehyung," Minah answered. He's told you about his friends, right?"

Sierra smiled. "Yes. I'm meeting them tonight."

Minah smiled, hearing this information. "They are super excited to meet you. I mean, to think my non-committal brother brought a date and he may not lose-"

Sierra quirked her brow.

"Lose his marbles being the only one without a date." Minah amended her sentence. "Besides, you are much better than other women he's dated."

Sierra leaned against the fridge and crossed her arms, intrigued with Minah's statement. "Really?"

"Oh, yes. My brother was never one to bring someone home or be serious about. All he cared about was getting his di-"

"What are you doing here, Minah?" Taehyung interrupted. With slow footing, his steps dragged into the kitchen area and stood next to Sierra. "What lies are you telling?"

"Nice to you see you too, Tae. I would say that I was happy you were home, but I'd be lying." Minah cut her stare.

Before she could react, Taehyung grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him, giving her a wet kiss on her forehead. "I miss you too."

"Ew, first of all, Manolos. Now I have to wash my face since you've infected me with your germs."

"Yeah, I don't want you to be late for 'work,' if that's what you do," Taehyung mocked.

"Screw you, Tae. Anyway, I have to go. Nice meeting you, Sierra. Can't wait to talk to you again." Minah smiled.

"Same, Minah. We will talk more."

Minah waved before the clicking of her heels vibrated against the floor as she strutted toward the elevator. Once the elevator dinged and signaled her goodbye, Taehyung turned back to Sierra.

"So, only child?" Sierra quirked her brow.

A nervous grin canvassed Taehyung's lips as he brushed the back of his amber tufts. "It was a joke that I didn't amend."

"Mm-hmm..." Sierra hummed. "Anything else you're keeping from me?"

"Well, there was this bet..." Taehyung nervously rubbed his back of his neck as he spoke of the gamble between him and his friends.

Sierra's lifted a curious brow. "Bet? What bet?"

"My friends and I kind of had a friendly wager that I couldn't keep it in my pants while I was in New York," Taehyung admitted.

Sierra shook her head, "Wow, why am I not surprised?"

Taehyung frowned. "You're...What? Sierra, you're the only one I've slept with there."

Sierra chuckled. "Okay, but you still lost. That must have been hard for you after what your sister said."

"It..." Taehyung sighed, "It wasn't..."

Sierra laughed. "Sure, it wasn't." She mocked.

Taehyung tilted his head in wonder. "You're not upset about this?"

Sierra shrugged. "Should I be? Whatever crazy things you rich people do is your business. Besides, if you made a bet with your friends and I'm the only one you slept with, maybe you got the better end of the deal. So, in that case, I'll keep it a secret." She winked.

Taehyung's teeth gripped against his lip, finding a heat of sexiness to the woman next to him and ignoring her question. "Fuck Sierra, do you know what I want to do with you right now?" He leaned in, brushing her neck with soft kisses.

The sound of the breath that escaped Sierra echoed in their space the moment his lips caressed her skin. "T-Taehyung, I am curious what will happen since you lost?" She whispered as her body grew numb from his touch.

"Who cares what will happen?" Taehyung hummed against her.

Sierra blushed. "Mr. Kim, you're not answering my question."

"It's not important."

"Okay, but you better not be keeping anything else from me."

"Oh, don't worry about me attending the wedding, but tell Sierra the truth, just in case I show up." He tapped Taehyung's shoulder. "See you soon, buddy."

An instant haunt of Taehyung's conversation with Seojoon rattled his thoughts. This would be the perfect moment to tell Sierra the truth, but he shrugged it off to add more explanation on his earlier admission. "Trust me when I say, no one wants to admit any relation to my bratty ass sister."

Sierra leaned away from him, "Bratty? She seems nice to me. I like her."

Taehyung sighed. "You know what I would like?" Taehyung asked as he eased Sierra into his arms. "You in the shower with me."

Sierra smiled as she circled her arm around Taehyung's neck. "That sounds nice." Sierra brushed her lips against his, "after we get a little dirty." The desire dripped from the seductive whisper that fell from her lips.

"Damnit, woman. You better hope we make it out tonight." Taehyung's teeth tugged on his lip once more before he lifted Sierra into his arms and headed back toward his bedroom.
