{Seven}

A smirk.

A giggle.

A small corner grin.

Any facial gesture equivalent to that of a smile rotated on Taehyung's face as he found an interesting amusement on the cards that fate has decided to deal him.

The annoyance on her face aroused his interest even more.

"Yes booth girl. It's me, 'Rolex' as you so affectionate called me. However, I would prefer Mr. Kim because that is the proper way colleagues should address each other. Just like I should address you as...?"

He lingered his statement waiting for an answer.

She takes a long sigh as she tosses her hair out of her face and rotates her tongue against her cheek.

"Huh." She responds.

Taehyung's eyes simmered at this gesture as he pondered what she could be thinking when performing such an act.

"Harper. You can call me Miss Harper." she finally responds.

Hmm...Taehyung mentally groans. "Harper? Do you not have a first name Harper?" He charmed.

The resonant of his voice jarred her core as she stared, briefly wondering how such a rich and full-bodied tone could belong to him. Even the subtle charm he strove for after his unintentional insult this past weekend didn't compare. Nothing of his appearance then had not even a smidgen of what was in the midst of her now.

She quickly regained her thoughts and scoffed. She was not about to allow some high leveled corporate type penetrate her professionalism.

"I don't recall you giving me yours, Taehyung." The dragged expression of his name was followed by a head tilt.

Taehyung's brows raised quickly before he forced them to relax. His pink lips held a thin line in attempt to evoke intimidation. He's not used to being called by his first name at the office. Giving her a piecing gaze, he expected her to look away but she held it with a firm grip.

Damn. It was so easy for her to retract this weekend. Different setting. Different personality.

"You know my name?" He grinned at his own rhetoric.

"I think the entire company knows your name. You know, with you about to take over and what not." She reminded.

"Of course." He grinned. "Allow me to do this properly then." He leaned away from his desk and approached her while extending out his hand. "My name is Kim Taehyung and yours?"

She glanced down at his hand and quirked an eyebrow as she reciprocated his shake. "Sierra Harper."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Harper." His voice lowered an octave to her surname.

She smiled politely at him to ignore the way her name dripped from his voice.

"So..." he began and pulled his hand away. "I asked my assistant to call IT and you showed up so I assume that is your area of expertise?" He smiled.

"If you are acquiring about my position Mr. Kim, I am the IT manager. Since the call came from you, our soon to be new boss, it was only fair I come assess the problem myself and to acquaint you to my department for any assistance of your future needs." She spoke firmly.

IT Manager. Impressive. "Hmm, so computers and comic books?" His smile suggested one of curiosity but he was sure she would take it as something other than.

"Don't stereotype me Rolex. As I can recall, you were the one giddy over some anime art." Sierra countered.

Taehyung chuckled internally at her sass. Hmm, got me there.

"Fair enough. I was just making an observation." He crossed his arms against his chest.

"Let's just keep our personal preferences out of conversation." Sierra directed.

"My apologies Miss Harper. So, may I inquire your assistance now?"

"What can I do for sir?"

Taehyung gestures for her to take a seat in his chair. "Everything is frozen. I've tried to shut it down but nothing has happened." He explained.

Sierra took his seat and hoisted her glasses to her face before she began to type. After entering a few commands, she shut his system down for a restart. Moments later, his screen appeared refreshed and unfrozen.

"Sometimes these systems can get a bit hung up. This computer hasn't been used in awhile since the office was unoccupied in quite sometime. I can send someone here tomorrow to give it a quick update." She concluded as she got up from his desk allowing him to take back his seat.

"I appreciate this very much." Taehyung nodded.

"No problem Mr. Kim. If you have any further issues, you know how to reach me."

"Thank you Sierra." He grinned.

Her expressions suddenly froze at the sound of her name being uttered from his lips.

"Let's be clear, Taehyung, the only way you will address me in this atmosphere is Miss Harper. 'Sierra' does not exit your lips unless otherwise and I don't plan on giving you that option."

Taehyung suppressed as a smile as his provocation succeeded. He leaned forward on his desk, interlocking his hands in front of him. "Is that anyway for you to talk to your boss, Miss Harper?

"If it were anyone else no, but that doesn't apply to you Rolex. Good day." Sierra turned on her heel and strutted out of his office.

Taehyung hissed. Bratty. He smirked on his thought as he relaxed his hands and leaned back in his chairs. But perfect if I do this right.

Seconds later Jungkook enters his office.

"Was that Sierra leaving here?" He asked as he pointed behind him.

Taehyung's eyebrow raised immediately at Jungkook who took the look for confusion.

"Miss Harper? The woman that just left your office." Jungkook clarified.

So Jungkook can call her 'Sierra' but I can't? Pfft not that I would want to any way other than to annoy her.

"Yeah. She's with IT." His airy response flowed effortlessly to Jungkook.

"She's cool! She said she was at CC this past weekend."

Jungkook's statement now prompted his interest. "You've met her?"

Jungkook scratched the back of his head. "Yeah we sorta bonded over this crappy mobile game she saw me playing." He handed Taehyung the documents he was holding.

Figures. Taehyung thought which sprang another.

"Do me a favor please Jungkook, would you specifically ask for Sierra if I ever need assistance from IT?" He requested.

Jungkook gave him a sly look. "Oh yeah?"

Taehyung caught Jungkook's tone and frowned. "Not even."

"Then why her specifically?" he mocked.

"She's the IT Manager so I prefer her." Taehyung stated while reading through the documents refusing to look up at Jungkook.

"Sure. Even with the bet though, it's not that you would be interested anyway." Jungkook teased.

Taehyung glanced up at Jungkook. "I'm not but amuse me on your thoughts friend."

"I'm not really one to trash your preferences when it comes to the women you typically go for but Sierra ain't it." Jungkook smiled.

"Care to elaborate?" Taehyung asked.

"Nope. I think you get it. Anyway, you have a dinner with the CFO at six. You should probably leave now so you won't be too late."

That all too familiar smirk appeared on Taehyung's face. "Thank you Jungkook. I'll see you back at the loft later."

"Yes sir." Jungkook bellowed before leaving.

Taehyung stood up while dwelling on their recent conversation.

He adjusted his suit jacket and ran his fingers through his hair before looking back toward his computer.

All the more reason why she's perfect.
