{Fifteen}
In an aggravated silence, Sierra read Taehyung's last message, eyes leering while swears tickled her lips, fighting to break through the shred of patience that lingered for him.
He is...ugh...Wait. Calm down Sierra. If he makes you this angry then he owns you and I'll be damned. Sierra took cavernous exhale and glanced down at the message once more before setting up a ride service to take her to the Upper West Side.
After a zigzag through traffic, she arrived at his residence. In a nervous habit, she gripped her lip in a tight hold against her teeth as she paced steady to the doors of building.
Of course he's in a loft. She mumbled while the elevator took her up to the top floor. A instant flashback of a kiss they shared surrendered her thoughts. Sierra shook her head to remove it. A deep breath she inhaled became tight against her chest while the vision continued to play. Stop thinking of that! Jolted from the ding that alarmed in the small space, the double doors of the elevator opened and she stepped inside, greeted by the tenant of the residence.
"Miss Harper." He spoke.
The crisp white t-shirt that clung to every mass of his broad, toned structure was a sight Sierra could not steer away from. A deep swallow glides down her throat while observing the smooth, fitting black jeans that hugged him in all the right places. A wave a heat sauntered over Sierra, piercing every cell in her body, her heartbeat was caught between breaths.
God damnit! She cursed herself again.
"Miss..."
"Yes!" She blurted to keep his velvet voice at bay for the moment.
A quiet scoff slipped through Taehyung's captivating grin, assessing the obvious change in Sierra's demeanor.
"Have a seat Miss Harper." His smooth voice bellowed as he extended his hand for her to proceed into the sitting area.
"I'd rather stand if you don't mind. I don't want to take up any of your time, Mr. Kim." Sierra stated while her gaze observed the surroundings.
Taehyung nodded. "Very well. May I interest you in beverage?"
"No, I'm fine." Sierra answered with haste while attempting to avert her sight elsewhere.
Taehyung inched closer to her as he eased his hands into his pockets. "I believe an apology is in order but I'm not sure if I should be the one to submiting."
Regardless of how much he was making her heart breakdance inside her chest, the smug tone of his voice wasn't easy to dismiss. Sierra's gaze narrowed.
"Excuse me?"
Taehyung folded his arms against his chest, allowing the prominent outline of his biceps visibility. "I said, I don't think I should be the one to submit."
Sierra rotated her tongue against her cheek. This smug...take a breath Sierra. "Is that so Mr. Kim? On what grounds do you feel liable of making such a statement?"
Taehyung's gaze perked. Intriguing as always. "Do you remember, that little stunt you pulled in your office?" Taehyung stepped even closer to her, feeling the breath from her now parted lips. "Do you?" he whispered.
Sierra's chest fell heavily from the absence of space between them. "If my memory serves me correctly, you were the one who initiated this little game first. Remember the day after your drunken sleepover?" She raised an inferior brow.
Taehyung leaned towards her. His gaze cowled, latched onto her lips as his thoughts screamed for him to take them to his. The desire was growing by the second. "You liked it. It made you want more and that's why you kissed me. Admit it, you couldn't stop thinking of it."
A jagged breath hitched from Sierra as her gaze fell to his lips. "I'm not up for your games Taehyung." She breathed. "You were wrong for the way you announce the trip. Just apologize and be done with this."
"Hmm..." Taehyung grunted. "Taehyung huh? What happened to Mr. Kim, Sierra?" Taehyung wrapped his arms around Sierra's waist, shielding her body onto his. Excitement filled him as he was eager to have her this close again.
"W-We are a bit past formalities now." Sierra's voice timid, falling into the recesses of his warmth. Giving in was no longer an option for her and she would be foolish to admit that she could leave his presence free from any temptation.
He's manipulative and seductive. I can't want him. He's my boss and he's not the right...Sierra battled her thoughts.
"I apologize for my sudden announcement of the trip but I won't apologize for this." Taehyung brushed his lips onto Sierra's, teasing the touch before taking them into a full kiss.
No Sierra! Fuck who am I kidding? Sierra's hands couldn't resist crawling into his soft, blonde locks, head spinning and falling dizzy to stroke of his plush lips.
This was happening too rapid for Sierra despite the way he was making her feel. She's was going against everything she fought against. It shamed her how weak she was becoming.
"I...Taehyung..." she moaned onto him.
Taehyung's stomach fluttered, a sensation that seduced a whiny grunt from him, enticing him more hearing the soft calling of his name from her.
"Taehyung..." Sierra moaned once more before easing away and breaking apart from him.
The hooded stares they exchanged was filled with lust and temptation. Though Taehyung's was more haunted of curiosity and wonder. No woman has ever made him as incoherent has Sierra and this change made him question himself. This wasn't normal for him.
"Sierra..." he whispered still holding her close.
Sierra's eyes strayed away from the desire and fell into remorse. She was so entwined with her feelings that it clouded her judgement. She wasn't the sort of girl to fall for men like Taehyung and she was crossing an indelible line.
"I...I'm not sure what's happening here. Why are we kissing like this? This isn't right. You're my boss and things are getting a little out of hand here. We shouldn't do this." She stated while removing herself from his clutches.
Taehyung's eyes wandered the mocha irises staring back at his. He wasn't sure either where his thoughts were leading him. Gazing at how lost Sierra seemed, his mind was starting to comply with her reasoning. "You're right. We shouldn't." The octave of his voice wavered low in defeat.
"Let's just keep this professional from now on, okay?" Sierra suggested.
Taehyung grinned. "A compromise is what you seek, hmm?" He teased.
Sierra huffed.
"I'm teasing Sierra. I agree. Professional it is." Taehyung agreed.
Sierra nodded with a small smile. "Great. Then I accept your apology about the trip and I will see you on Monday. Have a good rest of your weekend Mr. Kim." She turned on her heel and walked toward the elevator, pressing the down button and entering the elevator.
Taehyung observed the way she kept her head low, avoiding his stare before the doors closed and she disappeared behind them. He ran his fingers through his amber locks, sighing on the events that just occurred.
What am I doing? He wondered as he brushed his index finger along his bottom lip.
What is she doing to me?
OMG! I could not stop thinking of this book for the past few days so I owed it to you to write a chapter. Things were heating up for Mr. Kim but how long will he be able to keep this just professional?
Love you always!
