twenty seven

he followed her further down into the rows of shelves until they got to the very back where the shelves were brightly colored and decorated with animals and flowers. once there, she set jonghyun down on his feet and crouched down to pick out a book for them. she grabbed three different ones and handed them to him: the little red hen, curious george, and green eggs & ham. "here," she said to yoongi. "i really enjoyed these when i was a kid. maybe he'll like them too."

he eyed the books in her hand for a moment. "are you sure?"

"what?" she challenged. "are they too colorful for you?"

yoongi let out a fake laugh as he took the books from her hands. "you think you're funny. but you're not."

lifting her bag where her book was, she informed him. "i already bought a book, so i think i'll be going now."

during this time too, two of our friends in the squad got married. they'd been going out since middle school. and we went to the wedding together, A & i. 

but anyway, it was around mid october when our friend confessed her feelings to him.

and i know everything that happened because he was texting me through all of it. she asked him how he felt about her and he said she was nice and he liked her. so then she asked him if he had a girlfriend and he said no. and so she said she liked him as more than friends.

so A was texting me and saying that he didn't like her that way. so i told him to just tell her that. so he did. 

from then on, we started texting way more often.
