danna bit down on her lip at his words, and she looked down at the child in her arms. "a child of ours could never be jonghyun." she didn't mean that she wouldn't want to be his mother. she only meant that a child of theirs would be different, their own person with its own personality.

as much as danna disliked her, jonghyun was a part of ara. a good part of her. and she thanked her for that.

"that's the one thing i don't regret now about my relationship with her." he said with a tired sigh. "she gave me jonghyun, and i will always be grateful to her for that."

they had been very young when ara got pregnant--him nineteen and her eighteen. they didn't know what they were doing, but at least yoongi knew he was at least trying to be a good father. ara had just given up on them, deciding she didn't want that life, and essentially threw them away.

on august 3rd, we went to the lake. we made this our yearly ritual, squad going to the lake, since 2018 when we all started hanging out. 

A couldn't go because he had a family event. and honestly i didnt want to go if he wasn't going. but i went bc i appreciate our friends. on the day of, we were already on our way there when A texted saying if we could pick him up. i was gutted bc we were on our way to the lake already and couldn't turn back. his family plans had gotten cancelled last second. we had fun, but i know i would have had more fun if A had gone. 

august 11th, i went to explore the queen mary haunted ship with my cousin and my best friend from hs. i actually caught a ghost on tape. i shit you not.

august 15th was john's birthday and we all went to eat kbbq together. moira, leexi, and jav couldn't come. ralph (ally's husband), john, and A took shots. and i was impressed bc A never drank before. it was his first time drinking and he got a little tipsy. it was real cute. he was getting all brave and stuff.

like he kept leaning his head on my shoulder and getting real close whenever he wanted to tell me something. we of course sat next to each other at the restaurant. he didn't let me drink though, as much as i wanted too. bc i was the designated driver that night. T-T
