"i'll make you a deal." she started, getting his attention. "we can split it. i just need enough to give my mum and the service can probably buy more in the morning. just follow me home in your car and i'll serve some for my mom and give you the rest."

he nodded, thankful.

"but," she added a condition. "you're paying. a young woman never pays when a man is around. its what my dad always said. he claims that a woman paying is like stabbing a man's ego." 

in reality she didn't believe, or really agree, with that. she was just testing him to see what he would say to that. but she was surprised when he replied. "okay." he told her. "i'll pay."

okay, so i first met A on the first day of 2018. 

i went to buy food from the restaurant i work at on my day off. and i was with my sister. and he was at the register taking orders. and i remember whispering to my sister, "i don't want him to take our order. idk him, so that means he's new. so he'll probably mess up our order."

and to our bad luck he took our order and HE DID MESS UP. he accidentally overcharged us like $5. i was lowkey pissed. 

i told him the story recently and we laugh about it now though.
