Raiden heard of a massacre.   Am entire town of people, murdered.  Suspecting outworld Involvement. He investigates with Liu Kang and Kung Lao.  

They go to the town to find the road soaked in blood. 

Liu kang: What could have done this?

Raiden: Something full of malice and rage.  Be on you're guard, we are not alone. 

Raiden was not wrong in the slightest. A figure watches just out of sight.

A chilling laughter can be heard making the three halt. 

Kung Lao: There! *points to figure on the roof nearby*

?: Three more lambs walk into the slaughterhouse.

Raiden: Face us!

The figure jumped down in front of them. They looked into his cold, dead eyes.

?: Want to play a game?

The three stayed silent, ready for anything.

?: It's called. PIN THE ARM ON THE CORPSE! 

The figure charged. They readied themselves then he disappeared. The three went back to back. 

Raiden: Call him out when you see him. Stay together. 

They waited for a few seconds. Before the demon lunged kicking Liu and Kung away.

Raiden: You will fear my thunder foul demon!

Raiden zapped the demon which reacted and shot a menacing glare at Raiden. Raiden saw visions in his head of his friends dying brutally.

The demon went to charge while Raiden was distracted, but instead Kung teleported in front of him and kicked him away.

Kung: Lord Raiden! Snap out of it!

Raiden: I...i'm sorry. The demon is playing games with me. 

Liu kang went for  kick against the demon, only for the demon to dodge and grab Liu kang slamming him on the ground.

?: You all will die a horrible death.

Raiden launched himself at the demon knocking him away.

The demon clutched his head.

?: No. NO! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD! STOP IT, STOPPPP ITTT! 

Liu kang: What is going on?

Raiden: I do not know. 

Another voice came through the demon.

? 2: GET OUT OF MY HEAD! YOU KILLED THEM ALL! WHY?! WHY!?

Raiden: The demon possessed whoever is fighting back.

Kung: So we're knocking the demon loose then?

Raiden: I think so. Quickly, keep attacking.

Liu launched himself kicking the demon in the chest.  The demon couldn't fight back the internal battle taking all he had. The demon teleported away.

Raiden: Find him! Quickly!

The three spread out looking for the demon. Raiden passed  a house. Only to hear yelling coming from it.   Raiden went inside to see the demon on his knees, crying.

Raiden approached cautiously. The demon looked at him. One eye was e/c while the other was black and red. 

? 2: He killed them all. Please kill me. I need to die.

Raiden put his hand on his head.

Raiden: I'd rather save you.

Raiden shocked the side that was still red and black. 

Demon: NO! STOP!  

Raiden continued and the eye eventually went back to normal. The possessed was freed.

Raiden: What is you're name?

?: Y....N *passes out*

Raiden picked him up and carried him out where Liu kang and Kung Lao found him.

Raiden: It is over.  We must take him back to the temple. Teach him our ways.

Liu: Are you sure that is safe?

Raiden: If what i've gathered is true. He has no one left. And if the demon is still in there. We must help him overcome this.

They took him back to the temple where they gave him  room to rest. 

Y/n woke up not long after.  He clutched his head in pain. 

Raiden walked in.

Raiden: Y/n. You're awake.

Y/n looked at him.

Y/n: You should have killed me. I was already dead.

Raiden: You're soul still lived.

Y/n: No. You don't understand. I was buried already.

Raiden: You mean?

Y/n: Yes.  He made me kill my family. My mother, father, sister, and brothers. Killed before my eyes. Hidden behind a demon's eyes.  They buried me. Only to see a demon rise from the grave.

Raiden: I'm sorry for you're loss.

Y/n: Thank you.

Raiden: I would like to give you a chance to live among us. So you won't be alone. We will fight together. 

Y/n: I would like that. 

Raiden: Welcome to the white lotus. Y/n.  Come. We will meet you're fellow Shaolin.

Y/n followed Raiden to the training area.

Raiden: Everyone. I would like you to meet our newest member. Y/n.  Please welcome him as one of us.   Teach him our ways and lead him to greatness.

Liu walked up.

Liu: Please. Follow me Y/n. I know this temple well.

Y/n: Okay. Thank you. 

Liu showed him around. Kung walked up.

Kung: How about a little spar Y/n?

Liu: Kung. Leave him alone. He isn't trained like you and I.

Kung: He kicked both of our butts at the vill...age.

Y/n looked wided eyed remembering the slaughter.

Liu: Kung! 

Y/n: It's fine. Let's spar.

Liu: Are you sure?

Y/n: Yes. I already died once. Not much scares you after that.

Kung and Y/n squared off.  Kung went for a few punches. Y/n having no previous combat experience. Somehow managed to hold his own.  Even Y/n didn't know how. It just came naturally to him.

But Kung was still able to defeat him.   

Liu: Kung that's enough!

Kung didn't listen and went for one last strike.  Y/n's eyes went black and red and Kung froze with fear. They both stayed in place. Until Y/n realized what was happening. And his eyes went back to normal. He put his hands over his eyes and lightly sobbed.

Liu went up to him and put his hand on his shoulder. 

Raiden: *walks up* What happened?!

Liu: Kung doesn't understand self control, that's what happened. 

Kung shook the fear out of him.

Raiden: This is going to be harder than I thought. His biggest enemy, is himself. I shall ask the elder gods if they habe any clue about his condition.
