One month and one week later......

Miko's POV

   It's been one week since we got out of the hospital. thanks to Ember's parents, who just paid the doctor's bill, we finally continue to investigate the phantoms in each location.

   I was at the backyard, training myself to become stronger. Until then, I smell something wonderful scent, like you can sleep in eternity. I turn around and saw Ember. Her scent makes me feel relax.

     "Hello, sorry I didn't interrupt your training." She smiled at me. I shook my head meaning 'no'. "It's okey, Ember" I grabbed my towel as I wrapped my shoulder and clean my face from the sweat.

     "By the way, what's that scent?" I asked. She giggled at my reaction. "Try to find out" She answered as she came close to me, I close my eyes and smell that scent again. "I think It's strawberry mixed with roses, right?" I opened my one eye as she nodded smiling.

     "You wanna drink?" I asked her and she nodded. We went to inside of my house and I went to the kitchen, to get a drink for two of us. Until then, I heard a telephone ring coming from the living room. I quickly answered the telephone while I place the Coca-Cola on the table.

    "Hello, this is Shinjiro residents" I said calmly. I heard a chuckled and I know who he is.

     [Hey, Shinjiro. Listen I have a favor for you. Meet me at our house]- Henry.

      "But, what about your daughter, Henry?" I asked quietly so she won't hear me. I heard a gulped from him and I'm pretty sure this is a problem.

      [Don't worry, you can handle it. bye]- Henry

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

      I have no idea what just happen, I thought about it. I  put the telephone down and went to living room to sit the couch, next to her. She was playing with my dog and I giggled. "You really like my dog, don't you?" I said, "Yeah, but I like you more than your dog" She answered.

     "As best friend?" I asked and she nodded while drinking her soda. I smiled myself, then I realized that I need her to go somewhere where she never visit.

      "Hey Ember, you want to go my friend's house?" She lit her head up as she never see their new house before. "Okey then" She answered as she wore her jacket and I took my motor bike at the my garage. I lend her my helmet to her, so I won't have to get worried. I started the engine on, while she's sitting on my motor bike.

      "What about your dog, Spirit?" She asked and I smiled. "Don't worry, he'll follow us" I answered her. As I turn on the engine, she wrapped my waist with her arms, so she won't let go.

      "You better hold tight" "what you-" I heard a yelp from her as we're ride it fast. We saw my dog just run fast as lighting. I chuckled my under breath, seems he want to challenge me.

      I could feel her arms holding my waist tightly, she's was afraid of fast speed. I made my motor bike a little bit slow fast speed, so she won't get scared. I telepath her, "Don't worry, I gotcha you know" Then she replied, without speaking of any word, "Thank you, Miko"

Few minutes later.....

      After riding through the forest, we finally made it to their mansion next to the large lake. I saw her that she's amazed their house. Before I knock the door, I heard a laugh from inside. Maybe Spirit was here first, I thought about.  I opened the door and we enter the living room, and saw Spirit licking the twins. She giggled and I did the same.

      "Hey you two, what you guys doing?" Ethan said as he appeared from the kitchen. I telepath him, "Do me a favor Ethan, let her stay here while I'm going to Henry's house" He nodded at me and he asked Ember.

    "Will you like to see our music studio room?" Her eyes were widen, meaning she didn't knew that they have it before. "Yes!" she answered, as her excitement can't control herself and I hided my giggle. She told me that I should go with them, but I told her I'll catch up with them. But that's a lie. He smile at her and he tour her to their music room. I smiled myself and I could feel that, someone is staring at my reaction. 

      "Hey, Miko-san, why are you planning to do?" I heard Edward asked, "Ed, Eric, will you come with me while she's distracted. " I asked them. Then they glance each other with a confused look, "And don't worry, Henry will explain" I added and they nodded my agreement. 

   Ember, I don't know why your Dad needs me, but no other choice then.

Ember's POV

     I was following Ethan to their music studio and were infront the door of the studio. "So, this is your first time to see our own studio" He asked and I nodded, "What about Miko?" I asked and he chuckled as he realized that I don't know.

   "You know she didn't told you about it?" He said and I shook my head. "Last few months ago, I invited her to have a jam session with us." He answered, as he open the door and continued, "She's a great musician and she even recorded her own songs." He said with a smile and I smile back. 

     As we enter the room, I was amazed and awestruck. They have two speakers at the left corner and the right, they even have a instuments and a photo frames hanging at the wall. I looked around and spotted the group picture. I picked up and looked at the picture, two small people with four young mans. "You found our old picture group" I heard Ethan says, as he pointed the two small people to show me.

    "That my friend, is the Shinjiro twins, Renji and Mikoto" I was little suprised that I didn't know about, "And the four gentlamen?" I asked him as he started play their music. "That's me, the Aquarios twins and Lee, of course" He answered. I can't believed that Miko never said to me before. Then I realised that she's not coming or something. Like I couldn't feel her presences around me.

    "You alright?" I heard from him as he tuning his guitar, "Yeah I'm fine. I have to much thoughts." I said with a smile. After finishing his guitar he start to play called, "Just be friends". I sit on the stool as I listening the tune.

      That melody is soft and wonderful tune I ever heard. Suddenly, I heard a ringtone coming from his phone on his pocket. He pick it up and respond. "Hello?" He said, I'm really curious about it and when I see Ethan, his expression looked confused and surprised.

   "Okey we'll be there." He hang up his phone. I looked at him confused, "Who was that?" I asked him, "It's from Mikoto. I don't know why she's in your house for reason." He answered. Wait, why she went to my house without telling me. " and don't worry, the two of them will explain" he added.

    Two of them, what is that he mean? I have no idea what but I want know. "What time are we leaving?" I asked and then, he respond, "Will leave at 5pm."

     I looked at my watch and its almost 4:30. "Come one let's go" He said as he get his keys and I nodded. We rode his car as we headed to my destination.

Few minutes later......

    We finally arrived and saw something glowing at the main gate. I was curious though, but I remember that she told me about the flames that they will guide us to the direction. We followed the flames and we ended up in the backyard.

    To be honest, our backyard was bigger than our mansion. I noticed that the flames were gone and it's dark that I couldn't see well. Until then, I found myself someone holding my hand.

     I don't know who's holding me, but I had a feeling that his hand we're warm and soft. "Ember, today is your special day." The familiar voice said, hold on, does that mean...

     As the flames are bright again, I could see clearly, but this time, to my surprised, I saw my parents, Lee, Ethan and the twins, includes Spirit, holding the gifts and a cake. I also read a sign.

Happy 17th Birthday Ember Romirez

    It's simple said. I can't believe it, I didn't know it's my birthday today, I thought my birthday was few days away. I realised that I'm still holding Mikoto's hand.

     I looked at her and now, she's wearing an white long sleeve with purple waistcoat, a purple ribbon on her neck and a black jeans with black shoes. Her hair was tied up with a red ribbon. She smiled at me with a expression of happiness.

    I smiled at her back as she wiped my tears that I didn't know I was crying of happiness. "Happy birthday, my dear friend" She said with a clam voice.

     "I thought my birthday was tomorrow." I said and she chuckled, "Actually, your Dad told me about it this afternoon." She said, "And I'm sorry that I left without saying" she added. I gave kiss on her cheek, meaning she's forgiven. "I forgive you, Miko" I said.

    "Come on, you two. We have cake and some gifts from your friends" I heard him while me and Miko just shrugged. Ethan guided me to sit down and Miko was sitting on the stool in the middle of the stage. She started to sing called "Angel with a Shotgun" By the Cab.

    It's my favorite song and she knew it. I smiled myself like a silly girl and she look at me with a smile. Suddenly, Eric and Edward just appeared in front of me. The twins gave me a wonderful gift, and it's a sketchbook.

   This book is classic and I love it. Next one was Lee, who gave me an flower crown and I like it. Lastly, Ethan just gave me a beautiful pure white dress and I always wanted this for so long.

    I'm happy that they give me a surprise birthday and I love it.

Miko's POV

    After my comrades giving gifts to her, I decided to give her something special that she won't forget. Her parents brought her cake and we sing an happy birthday song. I know it's old but it doesn't matter. She close her eyes and make a wish. She open her eyes and blow the candles and we cheer.

    Time flew by and my comrades are started to go home after her birthday was over. I poked Henry's shoulder, "Hen, I need her please." I said. He looked at me and he understand it. I need her to come with me privately.

    I approach her as she's helping her mother, "Hey, Ember. I need you for a moment." I asked her and she nodded. "Of course." She said. I grabbed her hand and she look surprised. We went to her room and I close it gentle. "What are you doing?" she asked and I looked at with a smile.

   "Ember, there's something I want to give you." I whisper with a shy smile. She looked at me with a smile, "Then what is it?" She asked again. Oh gosh, she such a curious girl. "This." I said as I pulled out of my pocket. It's a box with a beautiful golden ribbon.

    She took it from me and when she opened it, she got surprised. A beautiful sky blue gem shaped like a musical heart. She was about to say something, but the moment I see her, she started to cry. I started panick myself, "Oh gosh, did I did something wrong!" I said and she shook her head.

  "No, you didn't. I love it, Miko" She said and I wiped her tear. I was relief and I hold her hand. "Happy birthday, Ember." I smiled at her. She hugged me and I hugged her back. "Thank you, Miko, for everything."

   I smiled like a idiot that I did something good deed. One thing I remember was I have a same ring like hers.

   "Your welcome, my dear friend." that's all I have to say for her.
