I walked from the Harem to the Valide Sultana chambers. Biggest chambers in the whole Palace where only the woman which rules Harem could live.

Usually here lived mothers of the Sultans, but as Murad banished his mother to Girl's Tower, this place goes to his sisters or his first wife.

As Murad didn't want his sisters to rule, because he wants them to marry, he decided for me to run the Harem. As I am his first, legal, and only wife.

Those were the biggest and most luxurious chambers in the whole Palace. This chambers was equal size as Murad's ones, and had huge terrace from where I could look at whole Istanbul and even furthermore.

Haci-aga opened the doors of my new chambers which were mine now.

" What is happening here? What is this now?" I asked as I saw Atike sitting on the throne of my new chambers while they were removing my things from here.

" Why haven't you bowed to me before you started talking?" Atike said proudly and raised her head over me.

" What are you doing in my chambers?" I asked her in agressive tone.

" I talked with my brother Sultan and he decided it is better for me to take care of Harem while he is absent. He decided to postpone my wedding so I will be in charge of Harem until he finds me suitable husband." Atike said and raised her head.

" How do you mean while he is absent?" I asked her as I was confused by her words. Where could Murad go?

" He is going into campagin in Baghdad. While he is not here and until my marriage I will rule the Harem. I will keep an eye of you, and if you do any mistake, I will punish you. " Atike said seriously and agressively to me.

Why haven't Murad said to me that he is going into campagin into Baghdad? Why do I have to hear it from Atike? Why did he gave those chambers and rule to me, and now to Atike?

I tried to act seriously in front of her, but I knew things are going to be bad if Atike is ruling harem. She disliked me from the first day, even though I never did anything bad to her.

" There won't be a reason to punish me because I never do anything bad. And you won't be able to punish me." I said to her and raised my head, because I will return her how she acts towards me.

If someone is good towards me, I will be good towards them. But if someone is bad towards me or any member of my family, I will become devil to them.

" And obviously Sultan is finding new suitable husband for you as he doesn't want you to marry Silahtar." I said to her and laughed. I could see her face from happy changing very quickly to angry.

" Watch out for your words. Sultan will marry me with Silahtar, everyone knows it." she raised her head proudly.

" He was only sorry that you threatened him with taking your life. We all know Silahtar doesn't even like you or wouldn't want to be with you. Everyone knows who Silahtar's heart belong to. And that is obviously not you. " I said and laughed.

" Mihrişah, you are playing with devil. You are no one to talk those non senses. You are slave and watch for your words, because I will destroy you if you continue like this. " Atike yelled on me loudly.

" I am not a slave anymore and you know it yourself alone. I can't change the fact that he doesn't love you. " I said to her and left her chambers, which were supposed to be mine.

Tommorow in the morning we all gathered in Atike's chambers because Murad was leaving to Baghdad. I was quite angry and disappointed that Murad haven't told me that, but I knew he made quick decision.

No one in last few years haven't gone to campagin, but Sultans rather enjoyed spending time in Palace while their army is fighting. Murad is first now after so many years to go with his army on campagin.

Gevherhan stood first, as she was eldest sister of Sultan Murad. Next to her was standing Atike, and next to her I was standing with my seven children, and some of them were hold by maids as they were still babies.

" Gevherhan, my sister. Take care of yourself while I am absent. Silahtar Paşa stayed in the Palace and if there is any problem please tell to him. He will take care of all of you." Murad said to his sister Gevherhan while he was leaving.

" May God help you return as a champion and healthy, Hunkarim." Gevherhan said to him.

" Atike, my sister. I putted you in charge of Harem. Please take care of it as Harem Treasury doesn't have enough money. Please take care of what are you doing and how much you spend. I entrust you Harem and my family, you will take care of them like pupil in your eye." Murad said to Atike and hugged her then.

" Dont worry, Hunkarim. I will take care of everything. " she said and kissed his hand.

" Mihrişah, my beloved wife. I want you to take care of yourself and for our children. I can't wait for the day I return to see you all here waiting for you." he said and kissed my forehead before he was leaving.

" I will pray for you every night." I said to him and smiled.

He kissed and hugged each of our children and then left the Palace towards Baghdad.

I knew this is going to be a very hard time without Murad. If he had to put one of his sisters on the throne of Harem, why didn't he do it to Gevherhan?

Gevherhan was better person than Atike. I knew the hell for me is beggining as Atike hates me, and I had to give my everything to stay safe here and keep my children safe.

When Murad left I decided I have to talk with Silahtar Paşa. He was now in charge of Palace and I knew I have to keep good relations with him now, especially because he hated me before without any particular reason.

" Silahtar Pasa, I want to talk with you about." I said as I went to meet him in Imperial Gardens in front of Palace.

" Sultana, what is it?" Silahtar asked me as he didn't seem really interested to talk with me.

" I know you feel some kind of hate towards me, and I don't know why. I have never done anything bad to you." I said to him seriously. I didn't need any more of enemies now. I had enough with Atike and Kosem, but luckily Kosem was locked and banished.

" I never felt any hate, I was just worried for our Sultan because as soon as you came he started ignoring everyone else from his family." Silahtar said to me.

" I want that to stay in the past, now you are here and I don't need you as my enemy. I don't want to be in any bad relations anymore. " I said to him.

" I don't want that too, Sultana." he said and he sounded pretty like he is talking the truth.

" I talked with Sultan and he will probably marry you with Gevherhan Sultan. You both deserve that." I said to him and I saw him blush at the mention of Gevherhan.

" Sultana, how?" he asked me with a big smile on his face.

" I said that to him. You two deserve to be happy together. " I said to him.

" Sultana, thank you. I will do whatever is important to you, I will be forever thankful to you." Silahtar said and he couldn't hide anymore a smile on his face.

" Only thing I want you is to inform me now while Murad isnt in palace anymore. I am afraid for life of my children. I am afraid while Atike is ruling. " I said to him.

" Dont worry, I will inform you about everything." he said and bowed to me.

I was returning to Harem to my chambers. I wanted to spend as much as possible time with my children. But at that moment, I hear an agha yelling to tell someone is coming.

" Attention! Her Imperial Highness Valide Kosem Sultana Hazretleri!"

I turned around in disbelief and saw Kosem walking into the Harem looking proudly to everyone, and the whole Harem was bowing to her.

Only thing I knew, is that Atike allowed this to happen.
