Metropolis; The City of Tomorrow, a city in the state of Deleware. The sun had just risen, its rays beaming down on the city. The sunlight bounces off the skyscrapers' glass, the reflective glass showed the traffic on the roads. People crowded the sidewalks, the sound of their footsteps hitting the concrete as they approached open stores and workplaces. This was an average day in Metropolis, this was a good day. A man walked through the horde of civilians, some rudely shoving the man, others just ignore the hunched man. This man was Clark Kent; Journalist for the Daily Planet.

Clark slowly approached the Daily Planet entering the building, as he made his way to the top floor, his friend/photographer Jimmy Olsen was talking with reporter Lois Lane. Clark simply smiled, seeing two people whose company he enjoyed in good spirits. He walked to his desk taking off his hat and coat; Clark hung his coat on the back of his chair and placed his hat on his desk. He glanced at a newspaper that one of his co-workers was reading; the front page showed an article about Superman. This talked about stopping a derailed train, Superman was a big reason why people in Metropolis still read newspapers.

Jimmy: "Yesterday was definitely my best picture of Superman yet!" Jimmy smiled feeling very accomplished.

Lois: "It's just a picture of Superman, we get plenty of pictures like this. Right now I have a lead on a scandal by Lex corp." Lois sat in her chair whilst typing her article on the computer.

Jimmy: "We have no evidence that Lex is up to no good, nobody will believe us." Jimmy's morale went down.

Lois: "We'll have evidence eventually, right now we have to take this slow, or no one will believe us."

Clark stood up from his seat walking over to his friends, they were the only people who accept the farm boy everyone else ignores him due to Clark being somewhat antisocial.

Clark: "I couldn't help but overhear that you have a lead on Luthor." Clark adjusted his glasses.

Jimmy: "Yes Mr. Kent, we believe there is a scandal going on at Lex corp." Jimmy's optimistic attitude had returned.

Lois: "Perry won't let us handle the article, he said we should focus on the entertainment section." Lois' eyes were glued to the computer screen.

Clark: "Luthor is a very suspicious individual, but people love him too much to suspect a thing." The farm boy crossed his arms.

Lois: "Our evidence isn't good enough to expose him; Lex is a crafty man." She spouted.

Jimmy: "He's got all the money he could ever want, what else could he ask for?" Jimmy pondered on that thought.

Clark: "Power, that's what people like him seek." He scratched his head.

Clark overhears a robbery at the bank, cutting this conversation with Jimmy and Lois short he quickly left the office and eventually made his way out of the building. Lois and Jimmy were puzzled by Clark's disappearing act. While walking through a dirty alleyway, the reporter ripped open his shirt revealing a costume. Running through the alley, Clark had taken off his office clothes and into his outfit; many people don't know that Clark Kent is Superman.
