Author's Note: I have too many ideas. Good news that this is the last Hybrid Swap AU that I can figure out how to write (for now, eheheheh). I got other writing ideas to do (A lot of them), and I've got drawings to submit. 

Also, a big thanks to Aro for the title idea. I honestly had no idea what to call this one.

 Impulse's POV:

 I scratched at my wooly neck as my tail wiggled. I've been growing wool nonstop, and as much as I enjoy the warmth, the urge to eat every little bit of grass I see is annoying. 

 I laid on my bed as Zedaph sheered some of the wool off of my sides. The good news is that wool hasn't grown on my legs, and they haven't changed into sheep legs yet. I say yet because there's always that chance that I'll turn more into a sheep hybrid. Even Zed had sheep legs before we swapped with each other. 

 " Mate, you've got a lot of wool on ya. I could honestly use this for one of my machines." Zedaph mused as I turned my head. I rolled onto my back as Zed continued to shave the wool off. The hermit hummed to himself, " You know, the good news is that only one of your arms have changed into being sheep-y. The other is completely human." 

 A soft sigh escaped my mouth as Zedaph finished shaving the last bit of wool that I had around my neck. I stood up and crossed my arms, " Everything is still sort of baa..." I cleared my throat after baaing, " Everything is still sort of bad, Zedaph. We've all been changed, and a lot of us have these... instincts man." I told him as he nodded. 

 I gathered up my stuff and put my shoes on. After waving Zedaph goodbye, I left the mountain base and headed off towards the shopping district. My tail and ears twitched as I walked on the roof of the Nether. I let out a sigh as I rubbed at my horns and shook myself out. No, it still feels uncomfortable. 

 I hope that Xisuma can fix this soon. I really want to be human again and fast. 

 My tail twitched again as I walked into the Nether portal and popped out on the other end. I looked around the shopping district and let out a sigh. Another thing of good news is that everyone is still remotely calm about all thi-

 " AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

 Okay, no, nothing's calm. Scratch what I initially thought. My tail twitched as I glided towards the source of the scream. I looked around until I spotted Etho and Hypno near Xb's redstone shop. Hypno was holding Etho, but something wasn't sitting right. 

 I approached the two and froze up slightly. Etho's eyes were glowing a haunting white and purple. Hypno's eyes were mimicking the same look, and I think that he was the one screaming. A sound that I honestly never expected to hear. 

 Hypno slowly lowered himself to the ground as his eyes started to glow. A blue and white fog came out of his hands as a weak grin formed on his face. I ran as I fast as I could as Hypno started to collapse. 

 I grabbed a hold of the hermit right before he hit the granite ground. Hypno faintly touched my neck causing me to flinch. Too cold. Too cold. W-way too cold. I could hear Hypno faintly laugh in a zoned out way, " Mmm...." 

 " I-Impulse?" I turned my head to face the Canadian hermit as his eyes turned back to normal. Etho gave me a fearful look as he sat down and shook slightly, " I... I don't know how this happened... I was telling him about how to control his new... powers... That's when a sharp pain hit me, and... and I panicked. I-I..."

 My tail twitched as I nodded at him, " It's okay Etho. I doubt that anyone with powers or hybrid-ness are used to our new abilities or appendages." I told him with a small laugh. Etho laughed awkwardly.

 The two of us looked at Xb as he wiggled slightly. The hermit laughed slightly as I frowned, " Can you stop laughing, Hypno?" I questioned as he immediately closed his mouth. Etho blinked, " Sleep, Hypno?" he questioned as Hypno nodded and curled up slightly. 

 I scooped Hypno into my arms as he continued to fall asleep in my arms. Etho and I looked at each other as I fully held our friend tightly against me, " Where do we take him?" Etho questioned. I tapped my foot against the ground.

 " Zedaph's base. He's just gotten his more homey, off-camera area finished." I told him as he nodded. My tail twitched as the two, technically three, of us walked back to the Nether portal and towards Zed's base.

 I laid Hypno down on the bed as Zedaph started to look over him, " I mean, I don't know much about hypnosis, but, " he pulled out his communicator and did a brief scan, " He should wake up soon." he explained with a nod of his head. 

 Etho and I nodded as we both sat down on the couch. Zedaph looked at his communicator, " There is a slight.... problem.... that I'm seeing though." he looked at us. Etho pulled his scarf down to show his mouth, " What's the problem?" he questioned with a tilt of his head. 

 " He's still under your control. Hypno will listen to anything that you say, and only you can snap him out of it." Zed explained as he read his communicator. Etho frowned but soon nodded. Zedaph closed his communicator and sat down next to me. 

 The three of us sat there in silence for some time. Zedaph eventually put his head on my shoulder and nuzzled it slightly, " Wooly." he mumbled as I nodded. Zedaph sighed, " I miss having wool mate..." he continued to mumble as I nodded at him, " and I miss having two hands." I mused. 

 We all laughed slightly as a soft snore came from were Hypno was snoozing. I looked up at the hermit as he rolled over. A few icy blue splotches were covering his face and hands. Etho slowly stood up and stretched out. 

 " I want to try something." Etho mumbled as he put his scarf back over his mouth. Zedaph and I nodded as we watched him walk over to Hypno. My tail twitched as Etho gently shook Hypno causing him to grumble to himself. 

 " Hypno, " Etho spoke in a low voice, " wake up." he spoke causing Hypno's eyes to open. They were the same as when Etho was initially hypnotizing him. Etho blinked as he let out a shaky sigh, " Hypno, I need you to snap out of it." he ordered as Hypno's eyes changed back to a normal look. 

 Hypno let out a weakened groan as he held his head. Etho sat down on the bed as Hypno blinked, " Where am I?" he questioned with a raise of his eyebrow. Zedaph proudly stood up, " The Cave of Contraptions! A... A working title, still." he grinned as he looked at him. 

 The hermit nodded slightly, " H-How did I get here? I... I don't remember much of anything after..." he let out a groan. Etho put his hand on Hypno's shoulder. Etho, with a quiet, shaky sigh, explained what had happened so far. He didn't go much into detail, but there wasn't much detail to begin with. 

 Zedaph sat down next to me as we watched the two talk in low voices. Hypno was still under the after affects of hypnotizes. I've never really seen it before... 

 One of Zed's machines went off causing Hypno to freeze up and curl in on himself. The ice spread around him causing Etho to move away slightly with a concerned look. The two hermits frowned. 

 I looked at Zed as he hurried off in order to turn off the machine. He gave us a worried look as I stood up. My tail twitched as I quietly walked over to him, " Let's go outside and leave them alone." I whispered in his ear causing him to nod. 

 The two of us headed outside and sat down with our legs hanging over the ledge. I let out a sigh as I looked over the sunset that was slowly happening. Zedaph looked at his communicator. 

 " It seems like Bdubs is having some trouble with Doc." Zedaph mused as he showed me the monitor. I looked at the picture and laughed slightly. Bdubs was in a tree was a cow looking Doc trying to get his horns out of it. Doc seemed to be struggling.

 " Who took the picture?" I questioned as Zedaph read aloud, " Vintage." he showed me what VB looked like now. The once cow hybrid was now green and scaly. So, it's reasonable to say that he swapped with Doc. 

 I let out a yawn as I tiredly laid my head on Zed's shoulder. Zed smiled softly as I slowly fell asleep against him. My tail and ears twitched slowly as I drifted off.
