The Evolutionists and A Rabbit (5)
Author's note: Exploring the castle of B. It usually has cookies, but it now just holds misery and a mystery.

I put my hand on the wall as we walked up the stairs. Even if I had some form of my sight present, everything was still too dark to see the outline of the stairs. I was lucky to be going last because I tripped and slammed my chin against a wooden stair.
Mini turned around and helped me up, " You okay?" he questioned as I shook my head and continued upstairs. I rubbed my chin and sighed. That would bruise in a few hours at least. I let out a growl as we reached the second floor.
Everything felt cold and stiff as Mini grabbed a hold of my hand. Mini looked around, " So, where's B's room? I haven't been here that often." he sighed as he scratched at his beard. Grian pointed towards another room with the door opened slightly. Every other door, besides this one and the front door, were closed shut.
Solidarity took out his sword and led the way. He gulped and pushed the door the rest of the way open; his body twitched slightly as he entered the room. Mini lit a torch as he and I entered the door. I threw up in my mouth and forced it back down; the stench of blood covered the whole ransacked room. I may not be able to see well, but I can see when things have gone to hell.
" Well, the good news is that no one is here." Solidarity observed with a frown. Mini moved his torch around, " The bad news is that I only see blood and a turned over bed and tables." he snorted. Grian walked into the room last and scanned around.
Grian's wings twitched as he waddled over to the turned over night stand. He fixed his glasses and kneeled down with a frown, " There's a note here.... and.... OH!" he quickly got the note and forced us out of the room. The hermit wrapped his wings around us and formed a large force field.
BOOM!
A mix of dust, debris, and blood blew out of the room along with the walls. I flinched and moved to covered my eyes. The four of us remained in Grian's force field as the dust settled around us. Grian dropped the field with an alarmed look.
" Sam never set.... " he cleared his throat, " Sam... Sam never set traps like that before." he gasped. Mini nodded as he continued to hold onto my hand. I blinked as I looked around the dark purple room. Everything was destroyed. This... This meant that our only clue was that note that Grian grabbed.
I looked over at the Brit, " So, what does the note say exactly?" I questioned as I lowered my head. Grian opened the note and scanned over the bloody misprints. His free hand twitched as he narrowed his eyes, " Oh.... Oh my god..." Grian whispered as he handed the note over to Mini.
My body twitched as I looked over Mini's shoulder in order to read the note.
" Dear little evolvers, especially Griiiiiian and Mins, I have your little pet. I admit that he put on a decent fight, but heeeee's aaaaaaall tired and pathetic now...." the note read. I frowned as I continued to read the mismatched letter of a madman that I've never seen before. Solidarity and I kept looking at the note in confusion, but Mini and Grian seemed to know what to do.
Mini and Grian looked between Solidarity and I, " Do you two want to be taken back to Netty and the others, or do you want to come with us?" Grian questioned as his eyes glowed purple, or a deeper purple. I... I still can't tell. I looked at Grian and narrowed my eyes, " BigB's my friend too. Even if this stupid curse has me only seeing purple, I will still help out. It doesn't affect my ability to act." I growled as he nodded.
Solidarity nodded his head, " I'll come too. I just need to call Martyn and tell him what's going on." he told us as we nodded. We left the castle and to the open area in front of the place. Solidarity nodded his head, " Yeah, that's what's happening mate. Keep the others safe, Martyn. " he hung up the communicator and looked at us, " Martyn's almost turned back to normal; he's antlers are still there though." he shrugged with a frown.
Grian thought for a moment, " They should, in theory, go away in a few more minutes..." he explained with a twitch of his wings. Solidarity nodded quickly, " Alright..." he smiled with a nod. Grian looked at each of us, " Well, would you two like to know where we're heading?" Grian questioned with a frown. The four of us started down the path towards the portal into Hermitcraft that Grian had moved into spawn.
" Well, we're heading back to where Mini and I first met..... Outside the school that Taurtis, Sam, and I briefly attended."
