Escape (A77 AU)
Author's Note: I enjoy writing this AU, so I wrote up this new part!
This is an alternate version of Keraled. This time it takes place within the A77 AU. A dangerous place. This marks Keralis's escape, but he doesn't get away with the normal kind of injuries.
I might do another story with Impulse and Ren.
A punishment for someone may also be required...

((A few weeks after Meeting))
Keralis sat there; his leg unmoving due to the wither's sickness. The trident punctures didn't make him feel any better. The returning hermit reached his hand up to his swollen shut eye. The wither's rot managed to seal it shut, and he could feel the dark, corrupting energy swirl through the socket like a powder keg about to explode.
The hermit knew that he needed a way out. Scar and Doc watched him the most, but Doc still doesn't want to confirm that he is the true Keralis. Luckily for Keralis, Scar seemed to believe him. This allowed Keralis to be fed and showed some friendship. The bad news is that he was at a point that many defined as being touch starved.
Every little sound scared him. The cries, the groans, and the panicking from the other prisoners echoed through the halls. Keralis tried to pick himself up. His healthy leg buckled as he pressed his back against the wall.
" It seems like the fake has risen...."
A pounding voice made him drop back down. Keralis gasped in pain as his corrupted leg hit the dirt ground. He looked up towards the foggy glass door.
Doc.
" Doc..." Keralis choked out as he held his arm, " Doc, I prove my innocence. Please... Can't you call Shishwamy?" he whimpered as he laid there. Doc shook his head, " No, X unfortunately can't know about this place." he crossed his arms, " Scar is coming to interrogate you later. If you do not comply, we would like to introduce you to a member of another world."
A eerie grin appeared on the creeper's face. He turned and walked down the hall leaving Keralis to lay against the wall.
An hour passed as another, softer, noise made Keralis jump. He looked up towards the foggy brown-wearing person. The person typed in a passcode and entered the room. Keralis froze up when he saw the pronged weapon that his kidnapper was holding.
Shaking violently, Keralis tried to curl up, but his body refused to move out a fear. The man kneeled down, " Do you remember me?" he questioned as he tilted his head. Keralis blinked his one functioning eye. He nodded slowly as his vision focused on the man.
Scar. Goodtimeswithscar to be exact.
Keralis slowly tried to reach out to Scar, but a sharp pain made his arm collapse. Scar's eyes widened to the point where they could be wider than Keralis's own. Scar felt Keralis's neck and frowned, " You... You can't stay here... We... We should've given you a chance." the vex whispered as he took out a healing potion.
Scar sighed as he forced the corner of Keralis's mouth open. The returning hermit wiggled like a snake as he tried to get away from Scar's surprisingly strong grip. Scar quickly dropped the potion's contents down Keralis's throat causing some of the holes in his body to heal, but they didn't heal fully.
" I'll... I'll tell Doc that you knocked me out. If you run straight, you'll find Hermitville." Scar nodded his head as his hand glowed. The hermit's eye became black as night as he helped Keralis stand.
Keralis looked at him, " The potion won't last long. You'll resort back to your almost paralyzed self in a few minutes." Scar told him as he got into a rather uncomfortable position. Keralis nodded at him and hurried out.
The returning hermit passed many cages. Some of them hosted over hermits, but they didn't seem responsive. Only one of them seemed to have noticed him.
TFC...
"G...Out..." TFC coughed as he smiled weakly at the hermit. Keralis nodded and continued to hurry. I will get them out. Keralis told himself as he made it to the hanger door. The hermit managed to force the door open, but a low growl stopped him. He turned around and yelped as an angry looking fuzzy animal with brown and white fur along with black stripes stared him down as if he was food.
In a flash, Keralis bolted out of the base. The creature managed to bite the back of his leg as he slid out. Keralis kept running, but there had to be something wrong with the animal. Keralis was already losing consciousness as he weaved through the trees and to a large village with three towering buildings, but one seemed under heavy disrepair.

X's POV:
I sighed as I put Void's helmet back into my bag. He's been missing for almost two whole months now...
Mighty was gone now, and the wattpadders are acting very territorial lately. They still talk to us, yes, but they refuse to enter our world, or let any of us enter their world. I don't even want to think about Woltria....
I sighed as I looked at the server list as I walked through the nether. My shoulders sank as I looked at who was on.
Doc, Scar, Ren, Impulse, Mumbo, Joe, and Iskall. I thought I saw more people, but the server had been glitching out recently. I let out a sigh. I've tried to fix it, but there's no use at this point. There's never a bloody point. I looked at one of the names.
Impulse.
Impulse had locked himself away in his underground base. The Wattpadders have given him, me, and the Architechs little gifts, but that didn't coax the American out of his tunnels. Ren has been visiting him very often. He hangs around him and makes sure that he eats.
I just want him to be okay.
Hermitville seemed to be the only calm place. Mumbo and Iskall don't visit here anymore due to Grian's build battle house. The wooden was rotting, and it looked alone. Grian's dragon had moved to his old base. The poor lizard curled up against the build and refused to let any of us be near it. Only Mumbo, Iskall, and I could in order to clean it or give the beast food.
My heart ached as I crossed my arms over my chest. There was something that still bugged me to this day. TFC should've respawned. It doesn't matter what world we die in. If we die, we end up in our beds at home.
I sat down in front of the gate to the minigame area. It felt cold and desolate. I honestly felt compelled to leave, but a weak cry caught my attention. My head snapped towards the noise. It came from the deep woods that surrounded our village.
" Hullo?" I questioned as I took my bow out. It sounded like a wounded animal. I followed the sound until I came across a body. I rolled it over, and my heart sunk.
Keralis...
" K-Keralis?" I whispered as I picked him up. Keralis had wither poisoning covering half his face, his arm, and possibly other spots. He also looked younger somehow. I took my communicator out, " Joe, get to my base now. Get Iskall over there as well. Bring some age stalling potions, healing, bandages, and any other medical thing needed. It's bad." I told him as the American tried to ask me what was going on.
I narrowed my eyes, " Please just hurry." I pleaded as I hung up. I tightened my grip on Keralis's body. His skinny frame slowly tried to wrap a frail arm around my neck. I rapidly flew through the sky.
((Timeskip brought to by the weird creature being petted by Doc))
It was late at night. Joe and I have managed to fix most of Keralis's body before the regressing resumed. Iskall had to remove Keralis's eye, arm, and part of his leg. I called Rik over to help create some prosthetics for our returning hermit.
Rik looked at us and scratched at his beard, " What the hell happened to this guy?" he questioned as he took some measurements. I shrugged my shoulders and told the group everything I knew.
The three men looked at each other, " Mumbo is not going to like this..." Iskall sighed as he tapped the side of his head. The Swede scanned Keralis and frowned deeply, " He'll start regressing now... I'll try to get Stress to help me with a reversal potion...." he sighed as he hastily left the base.
Joe looked at me sadly, " We lose so much but gain another." he mumbled under his breath. I nodded my head as I washed my hands in a nearby sink. The blood of Keralis washed down the drain.
" He'll still be in pain in his regressed form, X. You... You should keep an eye or two on 'em." Joe told me as I nodded again. I sat down in the chair next to Keralis's bed. The hermit remained flat on his back as his face twitched.
Joe and I looked at each other, " How's Mumbo doing?" I asked him as he frowned. Joe shook himself out, " Ren and Iskall have been helping him. Mumbo's gone almost mute though. Half the time he won't even acknowledge anyone especially if he's working on redstone." he told him as I nodded.
I waved Joe goodbye as he left my base. I sighed and stood up. My arms and legs felt weak as I took Void's helmet out of my bag. I placed the helmet down onto its post, " I... I feel like I'm close to finding the truth, Void." I told the helmet as I ran my hand across the visor.
" We'll.... We'll get all of you home... Wherever you are..."
