Zack worries that his friends have forgotten his birthday, while Rita sends him an unwelcome present.

*My POV*

We were at the Youth Center, late at night. Billy was dancing around as Kimberly was tying balloons with me, while Trini was painting a banner. "You're right, Kimberly. The performers assembled to create this harmonious tune transcend all predecessors to this genre of music." Billy said as he was dancing around. 

"Translation, please." Kimberly asked looking at Trini and I. "He likes the music." Trini and I said as I tied a balloon. Ernie opened the door to the Cake-O-Matic, and I saw something pour out of it. "Billy! You got to help me! Billy!" Ernie said. Billy just kept dancing, since he couldn't hear Erine. "Billy! I need you!" Ernie shouted as Billy kept dancing. I got Trini's attention and gestured to Ernie.

"Billy." Kimberly and I said, trying to get his attention. "Billy!" Ernie shouted as it was still pouring out some random thing. "Billy!" Trini, Kimberly and I said as we tried to get his attention. He was still dancing as Ernie tried to stop the thing from pouring out. "Billy!" Kimberly and I yelled as we got up and slapped his shoulders lightly. 

I took one side of the headset off his ear. "Glad you like the group, but I think Ernie's having a problem." Kimberly and I said as we chuckle and gestured to Ernie, and Billy now saw what was up. Ernie, was covered in the stuff that was pouring out of it. He slipped and fell to the ground. "Uh-oh!" Billy said, then rushed over to it as Kimberly and I faced Trini. 

Billy then shut it off, only getting the thing on his hands, while Ernie had it all over him. Ernie looked up at Billy, then over at us, then back up at Billy. Billy bent down next to him. "I guess I still got to work the kinks out of this thing." Billy said, feeling bad for Ernie. "I hate machines." Ernie said, before more of the thing fell on top of his head, and it kept falling on his head. 

*3rd POV*

| With Rita |

Rita was laughing, like always as she watched what played out. "A birthday-- we must make a present." Rita said, laughing more and looked through her telescope. "Yes. I have just the present in mind for good old Zack. I'm going to make a monster that will wipe him out...for good!" Finster said determined. "Oh, yeah!" Rita said agreeing. 

*My POV*

We were still preparing for Zack's birthday and Trini was painting a banner. "It looks all right." Kimberly said smiling. "Kimberly, get back to work." Trini and I said as we laugh. Kimberly stood up and sat on the counter and faced Billy and Ernie as I sat on the ground more. "How's it going, Billy?" Kimberly and I asked.

"I fail to ascertain why this appliance isn't working. I mean, the molecular mix re-arranger's still intact." Billy said, and I noticed Jason walking over. "Problems?" Jason asked, setting a thing of paint down. I stood up and he let me on his back. "The Cake-O-Matic that Billy built for Zack's surprise party, it went on a warpath. Nearly drowned me in cake mix!" Ernie said as we all laugh. Kimberly was holding another balloon. 

"Listen, Ernie, I wanted to thank you for keeping the place open late tonight so we could decorate for Zack's birthday party." I said as I sat on the counter. "Boy, is he going to be surprised. And speaking of surprises! You guys will never guess what I found out about the Power Rangers." Ernie said, causing all of us to tense slightly, and shift slightly. 

"The Power who?" Billy said, trying to play it off and keep us a secret. "The Superheroes with the large Dinozords?" Ernie asked. "The ones with the colored costumes." Jason and I said, playing along with Billy. "That's them. They'll do anything for Angel Grove, what Batman has done for Gotham City." Ernie said. 

"I think I've seen them on TV. What have you heard?" Jason asked, kinda curious about what other people think. "I've heard they're regular humans, just like you and me!" Ernie said gesturing to all of us and I glanced at Jason as Ernie turned around and I gestured him to help us out. 

"Well, you know, I heard they were space aliens from a distant planet." Jason said and I tried to hide my smile. "Aliens?" Ernie asked walking over. Billy was smiling. "You know, we should keep the space alien stuff under our hats...we wouldn't want to panic anybody." Jason said as he wrapped his arms around me, being the brother he is. 

"Aliens...whoa, this is big." Ernie said and when Ernie turned around, Billy tried not to laugh, as Kimberly shook her head smiling. "Good job." I whispered to Jason and he smiled. "Aliens. Aliens." Ernie kept saying, as he walked off. 

We were working more, when suddenly Bulk and Skull walked in. Bulk was holding Skull by his head. "Well, well, well." Bulk said, as he watched us, and let go of Skull who yelled out as he was let go. "What do you want Bulk?" I asked as I faced him. "If it isn't the nerd patrol from Angel Grove High." Bulk said and we all got annoyed. 

"This place is closed, fellas." Billy said as he walked over to them. "Yeah, to nerds like you." Bulk said as he grabbed Billy by his arms and picked him up and placed him on the counter. Jason was holding me back from attacking Bulk. "Hey, Bulky, look at what we have here--" Skull said, holding up the banner and Trini tried to take it from him, but he held it away from her. 

"Whoa! Oops! A birthday party. Awww." Skull said as Bulk walked over and took it from Skull. "We would have invited you, but animals aren't allowed." Kimberly said from her placed on the counter. "Ha, ha, ha." Bulk laughed sarcastically before using the banner to blow his nose. "Party's over, kids." Bulk said, and held it away from Trini again as she tried to snatch it back. 

"Hey! I worked a long time on that." Trini said, and Skull grabbed her arm. "Hey, I'll tell you what, babe. What do you say I help you paint another one after we've done having a little...fun?" Skull said as he held Trini's hands and walked backwards, before he fell into the paint. Kimberly and I laughed. 

Jason was leaning against the pole. Trini joined his side. Bulk started walking towards us and initiated our laughs. He squished all the air out of the balloon Kimberly blew up and I glared hard at Bulk. Bulk turned away from us and Kimberly caught my hand before I could swing at Bulk. 

"Someone ought to let the air out of you." Jason said, before Bulk charged towards him, causing Jason and Trini to move out of the way, and Bulk to run into the pole, causing him to stumbled, and fall into a box of balloons Kimberly and I blew up. "Our balloons!" Kimberly and I said as we watched them pop. 

Skull stood up from the paint and charged towards Trini and Jason, they moved out of the way quickly, causing him to run into the other pole, but he didn't fall like Bulk did. Billy laughed as Skull looked at him. Skull yelled out as he charged towards Billy, I quickly moved Billy out of the way, and opened the door to the Cake-O-Matic, causing Skull's head to go inside it. Trini was over there near Kimberly. "I hate party crashers." Kimberly said as Trini laughs. Skull wiped the cake from his face. 

*3rd POV*

| With Rita |

"Finster! Finster! You know that monster you were talking about, Finster. The birthday present. I think we should pick out a particularly nasty one this time!" Rita said as he pointed at Finster and looked at the monsters. "What's it going to be this time, your Putridness? A giant fruit fly with an attitude?" Squatt asked. 

"Shut up, crator face. I need a special beast. This time it's no more miss nice guy." Rita said as she flipped through a book. "Right." Baboo said. "Got any ideas?" Rita asked. "No, but Finster's working on a real good one, right, Finster?" Squatt asked as Goldar was near watching. "Uh-huh. It's the Knasty Knight, page 12." Finster said as he works. 

"Better be mean. Ahhh! I see! It's the one we used on Tarnac 3. It made Space Dust out of their finest warrior. I want it, Finster." Rita demanded. "I'm already working on it My Queen." Finster said a little annoyed, but tried not to show it. "Get to it, then." Rita demanded with a sinister smile. 

*My POV*

We were still at the Youth Center. "Her proficiency with complex illustrated characterizations is quite impressive, isn't it?" Billy asked as we were still setting up. "What did he say?" Jason asked as he faced Kimberly not getting it as Trini worked on the banner and I was helping Kimbery with the balloons again. 

"Don't look at me. I don't speak Billy." Kimberly said and I laughed at that. "He said Trini draws a good cartoon." I said as Jason put a party hat on. "Thanks, Billy." Trini said as Billy came over and started helping me and Kimberly. "We've got all the balloons blown up, the banners are made. What else is there left to do?" Kimberly asked.

"I think we're about done." Jason said as he took the party hat off. "Well all we have left to accomplish now is just to make sure that Zack doesn't find out about the planned festivities prematurely." Billy said, when Ernie came running over. "Hey, you guys, I just saw Zack pass by my office window! I think he's headed this way!" Ernie said, and we all began to quickly clean up and hide everything. All of us ran around, trying to get everything hidden so we don't get caught. 

We straightened up the place, and we heard Zack humming. We were all hidden as Ernie was eating popcorn, standing on the counter. Zack came in and looks around. "Hey, Ernie. What's with the late hours?" Zack asked as he walked over to Ernie. "Just catching up on some work, Zack. And I'm all by myself too, see?" Ernie said, gesturing to the emptiness around him.

"Yeah, right. Trini's mom told me the gang might be here. So I just came down to see if I saw them." Zack said and we looked at each other worried. "I haven't seen anyone. There's just me, my stack of papers, my bowl of popcorn, a few tables, a couple of chairs..." Ernie went off and Zack held his hand up. 

"I get the picture. I get the picture." Zack said chuckling. "Yeah, you get the picture." Ernie said as he pointed at Zack. "Listen, if the gang comes around, tell them I'm lookin' for them, okay?" Zack asked. "Sure, sure. No problem." Ernie said as he kept eating the popcorn. "I wonder where they disappeared to. I'll see you, Ernie." Zack said, before walking off. 

"Take it easy, Zack." Ernie said as he heard the door open and close. "Okay, the coast is clear!" Ernie said quietly and we stood up from behind the counter. "Whew! That was way too close." Kimberly said as we all sighed with relief. 

*3rd POV*

"Faster! Faster! Come on, you guys. If we don't finish soon, Rita's going to get real mad! Come on! Come on!" Squatt said as Baboo and Finster where hitting something with sledgehammers. "Why don't you stop your babbling and help make this sword! This isn't easy work, you know." Baboo replied annoyed.

"But I like to babble. What kind of sword is it anyway?" Squatt asked Finster. "A very special one. It can cut through any material in the universe and holds great magical powers. There. Almost." Finster said as he picked the sword up and examined it. Squatt laughed happily. "A little more work, and it's done. I'll just heat it up again. Oh, it's turning out to be a particularly nasty sword, My Queen...if I do say so myself. There we go. You can start the spell, your badness." Finster said as he looked at Rita, holding the sword. 

"We're nearly through." Finster said as him and Baboo began hitting again. "Very well, Finster. It better be good." Rita said as they kept hitting the sword and as she got ready to cast her spell. "Moon of ivory, starts of old, candlelight that's spun of gold, sky of fire, wind of fright, bring to me a Knasty Knight!" Rita said and began to laugh as the sword began floating.

The wall behind it was cut in half, and they fell down. Rita watched in amazement as the Knasty Knight grabbed the sword. The Knight growled and swung the sword around. 

*My POV*

Kimberly and I were walking to our lockers at school. Kimberly opened her locket, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Zack. Kimberly got her comb from her bag. "Yo, Kimberly, Izzy." Zack said and we turned to him. "Hi, Zack." We said and I smiled. "Hey, so um, do I look any older to you today?" Zack asked, mentioning his birthday. I knew we didn't need to blow our cover, but I didn't care.

I went to say something, but Kimberly beat me to it. "Older? No." Kimberly said, before turning to her mirror in her locker. She knew what day it was, we were just trying to keep our cover. "Kim...Kim." Zack said, as Kimberly was trying to think of something. "Oh, my gosh!" Kimberly said, and I knew she found something for cover.

"You just remembered something, right?" Zack asked hopeful. "Yeah, and I feel really terrible about it!" Kimberly said. I just stood there, knowing what she was gonna say, make Zack frown. "Don't sweat. People forget stuff all the time." Zack said smiling. "I know, but this was really important to somebody that I really care about." Kimberly said, and I frowned. "Kim-" I got cut off. 

"And, um, I hope that...she'll forgive me." Kimberly quickly said and I banged my head on the locker. "Of course she'll...Wait. She'll. Did you say she'll?" Zack asked, making sure he heard that right. "Yeah. It's my poodle's birthday. I forgot to buy her a birthday present. Why? What did you think I was talking about?" Kimberly asked, and we could see the hurt look on his face. 

"Forget it." Zack said sadly, he went to walk away, but I hugged him. "Happy Birthday Zack." I whispered so he could only hear, and he smiled sadly and walked off. "Thanks for reminding me about my poodle." Kimberly said as we watched him began to walk off. "Sure. No problem." Zack said sadly. 

"Hey, Zack. What's up?" Jason asked, as they began to walk towards us. "Yeah, right." Zack said, as he kept walking off. They continued to walk over to us. "What's wrong with him?" Jason asked. Kimberly went to say something, but I beat her to it this time. "He thinks we forgot his birthday." I said as I frowned. 

"He'll be okay." Trini said, trying to cheer me up. "You guys, he seemed really bummed. Do you think the surprise party's a good idea?" I asked as I looked at them. "Of course, I mean his feeling of disappointment right now will only serve as his enjoyment later on." Billy explained. "Yeah. I mean, he's gonna be so surprised later, we're gonna have to pull him off the ceiling. He'll be okay until then." Jason said, as Kimberly smiled. 

I still didn't think this was a good idea. "You're right." Kimberly said smiling. "Bye, you guys." I said as Trini and Jason walked off. "Bye." Billy said as they walked away. The bell rang and we began making our way to class. 

*3rd POV*

"They knew my birthday was coming up. How could but Izzy forget? Guess they were just too busy thinking of their own lives. That's messed up." Zack said as he sat on some rocks by a mountain. "I should have just stayed in bed today." Zack said, before he looked up panicked at the sound of a familiar voice.

"Happy Birthday! We're throwing you a party. We're even taping it for you!" Rita said as Zack looked over at Baboo and Squatt as he was holding a camera. "That's right! Oh, and we brought you a present. Meet the Knasty Knight!" Baboo said as Zack looked at him panicked. Zack quickly grabbed his Morpher as the Knasty Knight jumped towards him. 

"Mastodon!" Zack said. 

Zack was Morphed and he jumped in the air to strike the Knight but the Knight got him with his sword and he fell on the ground. He quickly got up. "Aah!" The Knight said as he got Zack in the chest. Zack blocked the attacks with his axe, but the Knight shocked him with the sword. Zack yelled out, but didn't fall. "Give up?" Zack asked, before he was kicked to the ground by the Knight. 

"Guess not." Zack said before the Knight sent an attack towards Zack. He fell to the ground with a yell. "The Knasty Knight puts the Power Ranger down to his knees!" Baboo said, acting like a reporter. "Oh, man. This is not the way I wanted to spend my birthday!" Zack said as he stumbles a bit as he stands. 

The Knasty Knight sent the same attack towards Zack causing explosions to appear around him, but he fought through it. "Hyah!" Zack shouted. "My turn!" Goldar said as he joined in. Zack went to strike at him, but Goldar got him. Zack went flying down the hill rolling down it harshly. "Bad is so beautiful." Rita said, enjoying this. "It's out of control! It can't stop it!" Squatt said as lights flew out of the camera, and an explosion happened. Rita laughed, and then she disappeared to who knows where. 

| At the Command Center |

"I sense a disturbance in the Morphing Grid. Alpha, activate the viewing globe and see if you can find out what it is!" Zordon said, as Alpha quickly did that. "Ai-Yi-Yi-Yi-Yi!" Alpha said as he activated the viewing globe, where they could both see what was going on. "Looks like quite a battle raging." Zordon said. 

"It's Zack!" Alpha said worried. "Alone against one of Rita's diabolical henchmen. I'll contact the Rangers. Prepare to teleport them to Zack's location!" Zordon said as Alpha did that. "That Rita Repulsa really fries my circuit boards." Alpha said, before Jason appeared in the viewing globe as he answered his communicator. 

"What's up, Zordon?" His voice came through. "Zack is in trouble. Rita sent one of her creatures to attack him. He needs help fast." Zordon said. "We're on our way. Come on guys, it's Morphin time." Jason said. 

*My POV*

"Pterodactyl!" Kimberly said.

"Triceratops!" Billy said. 

"Saber-Toothed Tiger!" Trini said.

"Velociraptor!" I said.

"Tyrannosaurus!" Jason said.

We arrived at the place where Zack was, and we flipped in. We all surrounded Zack as he laid on the ground, and we all glared at the Knight. "Back off!" Jason and I yelled. He growled and ran towards us. We all began fighting him. He got Zack first, then Billy, then me. Kimberly and Trini went to strike at the same time but they got hit at the same time. 

Then he got Jason, causing us to rush over to him. "Jason!" I said worried for my brother. "Jason, are you all right?" Zack asked worried, before I saw Jason's sword. "I am, but check out the sword!" Jason said, and we looked at our weapons. "He ruined our weapons!" Trini said. "This is not good." Billy and I said.

"What do we do now?" Kimberly asked panicked, before we were blasted by the Knight. We all scream. "Rangers! Blade blasters up! Let's bring them together!" Jason said as we all got our blade blasters. Kimberly, Trini and I back flipped onto the guys shoulders. We sent our blast towards the Knight. 

But he blocked it, sending it right back at us. Causing Trini, Kimberly and I to fall off their shoulders. "Ha! Take that, wise guys!" Rita shouted, before throwing her staff at the Knight to make him giant. He roared as he grew. "Tyrannosaurus Dinozord Power. Now!" Jason said and our his Zord appeared as the rest of us called ours. 

"Mastodon Power! Let's toast this dude." Zack said as his Zord appeared. 

"Triceratops Power!" Billy said as his Zord appeared. 

"Saber-Toothed Tiger Power!" Trini said as her Zord appeared.

Then Kimberly's appeared. 

"Velociraptor Power!" I said as my Zord appeared. 

"Let's go!" Jason said and we all jumped up to enter our Zords. "Power Rangers, sync up!" Jason and I said as we grabbed our power coins and let our Power Crystals appear and we slammed them into place. "2, 1, mark!" The rest said, before slamming their Power Crystals into place. "Let's get him!" I said as all our Zords started forming the Megazord.

We all sat in the Cockpit. "Let's show him some Megazord Power!" Jason said as we began standing up. We were striked by the Knight twice. We stumbled back when he got us again. "Zordon! We need the Power Sword now!" Jason said, and Zordon sent the sword our way and we caught it. 

We began sword fighting with the Knight. We looked at our sword, only to see it was like our weapons. "Oh, man! He fried the Power Sword!" I said, before the Knight began charging at us. He striked us on our chest and we fell to the ground. He kicked us and we went rolling. "Great footwork, and also quite nasty! Now finish them like this. Understand?" Rita asked from her spot watching the fight. 

The Knight looked at her and nodded. "Yeah!" He said before raising his sword and looked down at us. "I just figured out why ugly man's beating us! Any energy we throw at him, he just reflects back at us! That's why our weapons all burned out!" Zack said and Jason and I faced him. "So what do we do about it?!" Jason asked him. 

"Reflect his energy back at him, along with a bit of our own!" Zack said. And I began to smile. "Morphenomenal, Zack! We'll give him a little bit of his own medicine!" I said as I put my hand on Zack's shoulder. "Let me have the honor of zapping sir buckethead." Zack said, then we faced the Knight. 

We began using the Megazord's eyes to hold the Knight's sword in place. "Doofus, get free!" Rita demanded watching. "I'm trying!" The Knight said, and we quickly got up from the ground. "Uh-oh!" The Knight said, noticing how we got up quickly. We were glowing since we had the Knight's energy flowing through us. 

"Wait a second!" The Knight said, before we quickly got the burn off the Mega Sword and we quickly swung our sword at the Knight, who blocked it, only to have his sword split into two. The Knight growled as we were letting the energy flow and we collected more energy. We sent it towards the Knight, who then fell to the ground and exploded. "Great Galaxy Gas! I'm going up, but I'll be back!" Rita said, before she teleported away.

*3rd POV*

| Rita's castle |

"You worthless bunch of misfits! Can't you dweebs do anything right? You!" Rita said as she pointed to Goldar, who panicked. "Next time I ask you to get the Power Rangers, get them!" Rita shouted at Goldar. She then turned to Finster. "You! Your monsters are worthless!" Rita shouted at him. 

"You're absolutely right, I'm sorry." Finster said to not make her even more angry. She then faced Baboo and Squatt, who quickly grabbed onto each other, scared. "As for you two you're nothing but a couple of empty heads!" Rita shouted at them. "I'm sorry, but...on the other hand--" Baboo tried to explain while Rita turned away. "What am I going to do with these nitwits?" Rita shouted angrily. 

*My POV*

We were all leading Zack into the Youth Center. "I still don't know why we had to come by here. Wait, why is it so dark in here? Where's Ernie?" Zack asked confused, as we just smiled. Before the lights turned on. "Surprise! Happy Birthday Zack!" We all shouted, for Zack's surprise party. "Happy Birthday!" Kimberly said as we all smiled. 

"Aw, man." Zack said happily, before coming over to hug us. He mostly hugged me though. "Happy Birthday, Zack." Trini and I said smiling. "Happy Birthday, Zachary." Billy said smiling. "You thought we forgot, didn't you?" Jason asked, and Zack faced us again. "Yeah. I was bumming. This is so cool you guys! Thanks." Zack said as he came over to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. 

We heard electricity crackling. "Wait. What's that noise?" Zack asked, before we all faced the Cake-O-Matic. "Oh, not again!" Ernie said, rushing over to it. Kimberly hit Billy's chest who shrugged. Ernie began hitting the side of it. "I thought this thing was fixed!" Ernie said, before Billy rushed over to him. 

We all began to laugh. While they were doing that, we all just smiled. "Let's party, everyone!" Jason said. "Let's do it!" Zack said as we all rushed over to the big group of people and we all began to dance. I was singing into a microphone as we danced. Billy and Ernie was still struggling but we just kept dancing while I kept singing.
