Midnight and Alphys arrived to school just as the morning bell ran. "See ya Al." Midnight said, walking towards her history class. Alphys waved before shuffling to her science class. Midnight arrived and sat near the window. She took out her phone and checked her messages to see threats.

Midnight turned her phone of and sighed before looking at the door. She perked when she saw a (h/c) human wearing a (f/c) shirt and jeans. They also had stunning (e/c) eyes. Midnight turned and pretended to be reading the textbook when that human sat next to her.

"Is... this seat taken?" The human asked, tapping Midnight's shoulder. Midnight looked at the human and shrugged. "All desks withen an arm's reach of me is free." Midnight said with a lazy smirk. "Oh! Good! I'm (Y/n) (L/n)!" The human said happily. Midnight nodded before kids started to come in.

"Alright class, get a partner and read chapter 4 SILENTLY." The teacher said as some of the kids chuckled. (Y/N) looked over Midnight's shoulder as she already started to read. Some kids looked over at the two before snickering.

"You can move your chair next me, ya know." Midnight said as (Y/N) jolted. (Y/N) quickly did so before Midnight moved the book in between the pair of them. "Is this about the war between monsters and humans?" (Y/N) asked. "The second day. Yeah." Midnight replied. (Y/N) offered a warm smile to Midnight before seeing Midnight staring at a picture of two phoenixs.

"Class, the partner you read with today will be your study partner for until the end of the school year." The teacher announced. Midnight looked at (Y/N) before letting out a sigh. (Y/N) tilted her head as Midnight closed her book.

"Here we go again."
