Ah, self discovery.  Am I going to tell you the key to right here and now?  

Absolutely not, my friends.  I wish that I could, believe me, but I still have no idea who I even am.

Every time I think that I do, I don't.

I'm sure a lot of you might agree with that line.  One second, you know who you are and what you want.  The next, something that you were completely certain you did not want, you are now craving.

Maybe for you, you hated math one moment, but the next, you are coming up with your own formulas.

Or the boy you thought you were desperately in love with?  Nope, look at that other boy right over there.  Pure gold compared to the last, who was maybe a silver now that you think about it.

Perhaps last night your favorite color was blue, but now purple has caught you eye.

All of these things are aspects of you, and perspective changes daily as you experience new things.  With that in mind, is self-discovery ever really accomplished?  Sure, you might find the perfect profession for you, but your career does not define who you are.  A McDonald's worker isn't trash, and a high class actor isn't God.

There are so many layers to oneself that while you might figure some of the layers, how can you truly now all in our short time here when our perspective on things are constantly changing and shaping our thoughts on other things.

It is a chain reaction of change.

So, if you don't know yourself now, don't worry.  I don't either.  No one really does.  We are all still learning and living together.  Someone who might seem like they have it put together have some sense of doubt.

Keep living, keep experiencing, and remember that one failure or one doubt does not define any part of you.
