"Are you in love with Damon Salvatore?" Elijah asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Wow, just jump right in," Agneta laughed.
"Neta, I'm being serious.... because if you are then he's the first person you've ever really loved, right?" Elijah asked.
"I-yes," Agneta whispered, finally admitting her true feelings about Damon... seeing as they haven't even used the 'I love you' yet. " I'm being rather foolish about it, but I do believe he loves me... but I also feel like he has feelings for Elena too, even if he's denied them multiple times."
"Perhaps you could compel him?" Elijah asked.
Agneta rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"I don't want to use compulsion... it doesn't feel right," Agneta mumbled.
"You could compel Elena, and ask her if she has feelings for him.... and if not then you have nothing to worry about," Elijah replied.
"But what if she does?" Agneta questioned.
"If she does then she shouldn't be with his brother," Elijah said. "But from what I've seen lately.... Damon only has eyes for you."
"I hope so," Agneta whispered.
Elena walked through Agneta's house, quickly reaching the kitchen.... only to find Agneta and Elijah making sandwiches together.
"Welcome back," Agneta greeted, looking over her shoulder towards Elena.
Elena nodded as she pulled her jacket off, before setting it down on the counter.
"What is Klaus's curse? Please tell me," Elena replied.
Agneta gripped the counter..... before turning to face Elena.
"Our family was close, so close that when our father picked on Klaus.... We'd always defend him, even if it meant we'd get punished too. Anyway when we became vampires, we discovered the truth.... the truth was Klaus wasn't our father's son," Agneta said, staring at a very confused Elena. "Care to take over Elijah?"
Elijah chuckled under his breath before turning to face them both.
"Our mother had been unfaithful for years, this was her darkest secret.... Klaus is from a different bloodline, and back then; that was the greatest shame," Elijah said.
Suddenly Elena's face turned into realization, she was finally putting the pieces together.
"Of course, when our father discovered this, he hunted down and killed our mother's lover.... and his entire family," Agneta replied, remembering how ruthless he was. "Our family was very barbaric."
"Agneta-" Elijah went to say but was cut off by his sister.
"What? It's true!" Agneta snapped, glaring holes into her brother. "What our father didn't realize.... he would ignite a war between two species that would rage on for thousands of years."
"A war between two species?" Elena asked, looking confused once again.
"Vampires are werewolves," Agneta frowned.
"So, Klaus's real father was from a werewolf bloodline?" Elena asked, looking from Elijah to Agneta. "What does that make him? A werewolf? Or vampire?"
"He's both," Agneta mumbled.
Elena's mouth dropped open in shock, while Agneta took a bite out of her sandwich.... soaking in Elena's shock.
"A hybrid would be deadlier than any werewolf or vampire," Elijah stated. " Nature would not stand for such unbalanced power."
"Therefore the witches, servants of nature, saw to it that my brother's werewolf side would be dormant," Agneta said finishing for Elijah.
"T-That's the curse he wants to break?" Elena asked.
Agneta nodded slowly.
"B-But you both helped him," Elena remarked.
"I helped him because I loved him... but that's changed so now he must die," Elijah replied.
Agneta sighed softly, feeling the same as her older brother.
"We have the dagger now, we can stop him!" Elena said, hopefulness filled her voice.
"If only the dagger worked on a hybrid," Agneta responded, glancing down at her sandwich.... realizing she had lost her appetite.
"When a werewolf is wounded by silver, it heals. An Original can't be killed by anything, but the white oak ash on a silver dagger.... the dagger doesn't work, see the problem?" Elijah explained.
"W-What are you saying? Klaus can't be killed?" Elena questioned, fear filled her voice.
Agneta looked up and tilted her head at Elena.
"There's only one way to kill any supernatural species.... at the hands of nature themselves," Agneta smiled softly, immediately thinking that of a certain someone.
"A witch," Elena breathed out, realizing Bonnie was the key to ending Klaus. "If they can channel that much power, it would kill them."
"The curse must be broken during a full moon, when Klaus is in transition.... That's when he'll be most vulnerable, a witch with enough power can kill Klaus," Elijah replied confidently.
"What if I told you that I knew a witch, that could channel that much power?" Elena asked.
"And what if I told you the doppelgänger doesn't have to die?" Elijah questioned.
"You've found a way to save the doppelgänger?" Elena asked, not sure if what she was hearing was true.
"Yes, Elena. I did," Elijah stated, his gaze shifting towards Elena.
"But unfortunately, Katerina took matters into her own hands," Elijah glanced over at Agneta. "With help. I believe you already know how that played out."
Elena raised an eyebrow.... realizing Elijah cared deeply for Katherine.
"You care about her, didn't you?" Elena questioned.
"It's a common mistake, I'm told.... and it's one I won't be making again," Elijah mumbled, before turning on his heels and disappearing.... leaving Elena speechless.
"D-did he just leave?" Elena asked.
"Ah yes, that's Elijah for you.... always has to make a dramatic exit," Agneta frowned, rolling her eyes.
"I don't believe you, Damon! Neta wouldn't be that stupid," Stefan's voice rang throughout the boarding house as Agneta walked through the front door. She followed his voice into the study.... seeing Stefan standing over Damon with his fist raised.
"What the bloody hell is going on!" Agneta yelled, startling both brother.
"Damon just informed me that you and him are back together.... but I told him, you wouldn't be that stupid," Stefan replied.
Agneta's eyes shifted down towards Damon, before looking back at Stefan... she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, realizing this was the moment she had to tell Stefan, she loved his brother.
"I was planning on telling you but with everything happening with my brothers, I figured it could wait..... besides it's not like you trust me, so why would I tell you," Agneta said, opening her eyes and stared at Stefan.
Stefan moved away from Damon and made his way toward Agneta.... his body language quickly changed from rage to utter concern.
"Neta, I do trust you.... what I said earlier, it had nothing to do with you; I was just worried about Elena and that's what blinded me," Stefan mumbled,
"That's your problem, Stefan! It's always about Elena.... ever since I came back to help you, we've spent no time together; and so I started spending time with Damon and before I knew it; old feelings appeared," Agneta replied, her eyes shifting to Damon. "I didn't plan on falling in love with him again, it just sort of happened...."
"I'm sorry, Neta," Stefan whispered, realizing how much he's messed up. "I'm sorry for being so distant with you, you must hate me."
Agneta rolled her eyes at Stefan.
"Stefan, I don't hate you.... I just wish my best friend had time for me, is all," Agneta said.
