She's alive, and breathing.
She coughed, feeling herself freezing, she panted, her eyes closed tightly. She held her neck, feeling nothing. She wasn't suffocating, her lungs were functioning well, she felt nothing, but coldness.
She reached out, touching the thing she was on, it was freezing, slippery, barely staying put in her hand. She groaned lightly, feeling her hand cold. Her heart clenched when she heard a low growl behind her, but she didn't open her eyes.
Is this heaven?
She asked herself in her head, her head aching. She felt something move, heavy breathing, and coming close to her, slowly. She knitted her eyebrows, her eyes slowly opening.
And she gasped.
Her hand went against her mouth, eyes wide as she gazed at the wolf in front of her. She sat up, moving back, however, the slippery floor wasn't helping her, she looked down, her heart beating faster as she realised that it wasn't something else but a frozen lake.
She groaned, feeling her heart ache again, she bit her lips, gripping her scarf tightly as she looked at the wolf in horror. "Go away!" She tried to yell, but couldn't do it very well, she coughed, huffing.
It growled at that.
"Please." She added. "Oh shut up. It doesn't understand you!" She yelled at herself, tears in her eyes as she looked around. It was in the middle of a forest, frozen. The trees and bushes, they were all frozen.
She looked back at him, "P—" She paused when he fell, stopping.
She waited for a minute, finally noticing the wound on his body. She gasped, walking to it. "God, what does I do?" She asked herself, watching as he helplessly moved on the ground, being able to stand on his feet again, he was shaking.
"You're hurt?" She asked, "One minute." She muttered, taking her scarf off as she wrapped it around its wound, "Don't kill me, please." She said, moving away.
It sat down, helplessly growling. She hugged her knees to her chest, she did find it weird how a wolf wasn't attacking her, but the weirder thing was that she was in a frozen forest, when she was in a lively city when she jumped in the sea.
She dug her face in her knees, tears filling her eyes again. She sobbed, gripping her legs tightly. "I should have died! It was better than being with a wolf!" She yelled, crying loudly.
"Why is life so cruel? Why can't I live quietly? Why can't I even die in peace!?" She yelled, sobbing. Her long hair covered her face, she yelled, "If I find god, I'll curse the hell out of him!" She sniffed, her nose blocking up.
"Now I'm stuck here. I don't know if I'm alive or not. I don't know if this is hell or heaven. I don't even know if I'm on Earth!"
The wolf growled again. "What now? You want to eat me!?" She yelled, still not looking up.
She suddenly felt something soft, like fur, next to her. She knitted her eyebrows, looking up to see the wolf, he sat next to her, growling lowly. "What is it?" She asked, tilting her head as she looked at him.
She noticed its white fur, soft. Its blue eyes were beautiful, somehow, it fluttered her heart, her eyes batted in confusion as she reached out, touching the area between its eyes. It closed its eyes for a second, before opening them again as it growled loudly, startling her.
"Gosh! You're just a wolf!" She rolled her eyes, looking around. It was night, the moon was out, the sky was dark, really dark. Something bout this place was scary, it did look like it, but still didn't feel like it, something's missing. "Wait a second." She gasped again, feeling a crack under her legs, "Shit! It's going to break!" Panicking, she tried to move, making the wolf growl again.
"No, no, no! I can't die into this frozen water! I need water that's not frozen." She cried, "Fucking hell!" She bit her nails, looking around before at the bruised wolf. "Atleast I have to save you." She muttered, bringing her hands as she hastily wrapped them around it, hugging it tightly, she pulled her body backwards, eyes on the wolf as she tried to drag it towards the land. Feeling the crack deepen, she closed her eyes, breath hitching.
She pulled it still, ignoring the fear that refilled her heart, the wolf growled, she flinched harder when a cold snowflake touched her cheek, sliding down. "Snow." She muttered, glancing at the sky that was filling with clouds.
The wolf growled harder, "What?" She grew annoyed, still pulling it backwards.
She paused when she felt her hand fall in a small hole in the lake, gasping as she leaned into the wolf, crying. "Don't move." She said, wiping her tears.
Her eyes grew wide when the crack widened, reaching her back, she gasped yet again, feeling herself fall into the cold water, as if the world became slow in time, she looked at the wolf, its blue eyes didn't seem much surprised, as if he had known it was going to happen.
His eyes said something, "Idiot."
She almost cursed at his ungratefulness,
Before falling, the last thing she saw was the clouds overlapping the moon, covering its sight, and the small light that flickered, before her eyes rolled over her head and she drowned in the cold water.
For the second time drowning, she was still scared, but this time, all she did was grip her clothes tightly and not struggle to pull herself up, eyes shut tight and bubbles leaving her mouth, her struggle of breathing got deeper and more suffocating, her lungs were literally burning, she could feel the coldness in the water.
It was then, she felt something, running and struggling to her, towards her and pushing itself deeply to her. She struggled to open her eyes as she tried to look at it, at the glimpse she saw, was a man, a man with dark brown eyes, his hands reaching out to her with difficulty before he finally grabbed her—
And she lost consciousness.
