We locked eyes at each other. He stopped moving. "So, are we still going to the front of the school?" I questioned. "To be honest, I can't believe you know the way around here, short cuts and all." That was my way of stalling. I tried loosening his grip so I could go back to class.

It looked as if Soul was going to say something, but he didn't.

"Listen", I said while trying to sound annoyed, "Can I lea-"

He kissed me.

It was forceful, but he knew I was stressed, I was surprising, yet still comforting. I wanted to kiss him back for those few seconds, but I knew I had a boyfriend.

It was as if that was what he was trying to tell me.

He stopped, just to say three words:
"I like you."
