Ferrantino ran to catch up with Isabela. "Isabela, wait!"
“Ugh. What do you want?” Isabela grumbled at him. He's going to give me over to Ednoth. I'm sure of it, she thought to herself. She shuddered just thinking of Ednoth. He's a creep.
“I uhh was just wondering if you had your mind on someone at home?” he asked in his Italian accent as he fell into pace beside her.
“I guess there this one person…” Isabela began, thinking of Mierla who she missed dearly. Why can't I just be back in Acriania with her?, Isabela thought, fidgeting with the strings on her cloak.
Ferrantino interrupted her. “What does this person have that Ednoth doesn't?”
“For starters, she’s not desperate like him,” Isabela answered, snapping a little, irritated.
“She?” Ferrantino stared in shock.
Isabela nodded, “Yes, she."
“By the way you looked, I didn’t think you swung that way,” Ferrantino commented.
“Well, I do,” Isabela snapped.
“Sassy much?” Ferrantino started. He then sighed. "I'm sorry… I don't mean to offend you… it's just that Ednoth wanted me to-" He was cut off by Akuppi-Adad.
“Is Ferrantino bothering you, Isabela?” Akuppi-Adad's voice echoed behind the two as Akuppi-Adad pushed forward, soon falling in to sync with Isabela and Ferrantino.
“Yes,” Isabela stated, looking to Akuppi-Adad with a very clear upset look on her face.
Akuppi-Adad clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "I could kill him," he joked. He added, "...if you so wish."
Ferrantino looked over to Akuppi-Adad with wide eyes, trembling a little. “Don’t kill me! I swear, I didn’t mean t-” He had stopped walking, which made the other two vampires stop walking as well.
Akuppi-Adad laughed, heartily, “I’m not gonna kill you, Ferrantino. I was joking.” He began to look serious. “I’m just going to make sure you never mess with Isabela again.” He cracked his knuckles.
Isabela smirked at Ferrantino. "Run," she mouthed.
Ferrantino freaked out and slipped, falling to the ground as Akuppi-Adad marched toward him with clenched fists. Ferrantino got up and scrambled away, just like a dog running with a tail between its legs.
Akuppi-Adad smirked and looked at Isabela, draping his arm over her shoulders, in a comforting way. “How about we drink some more blood?”
Isabela smiled a little and breathed, “Yeah. Let’s.” Isabela and Akuppi-Adad walked away to the area they would find their prey.
