Avery Carlyon Montgomery-Shepherd. The twenty-two-year-old daughter of Addison Montgomery and Derek Shepherd.

Addison and Derek had her when they were only teenagers and for the first few years of her life, she was raised by her grandmother Carlyon mostly.

When she was only six years old she was diagnosed with a photographic memory and was allowed to skip three grades being able to graduate early and head to medical school.

Avery moved out of her parent's house when she was eighteen. She was already in college and as her present, her dad and mom got her an apartment that was close to her school but still close to them.

One night after getting dinner with her dad as they do every Friday night since the girl was young Avery headed home with her dad to see her mom.

Only to catch her cheating on him with her godfather Mark and her father's best friend.

Not even a week later her dad told her he was leaving New York and asked Avery to go with him, but due to her just starting her internship she wasn't able to get out of her contract.

Once she is able to Avery decides to head to Seattle to be with her dad, but somehow her mom found out and decides to come with her.

And all Avery can think is how messed up this will all be. Especially regarding her dad's new girlfriend.

But that is just the beginning of Avery Carlyon Montgomery-Shepherd's life and Avery might just wish she stayed in New York.

But one doctor from the enemy hospital might make it all worth it.
