Stubborn smile
An extra inch of fat, another day of criticism.
Ugly, cruel pimples on dull face, bag full of rejections.
Height never enough for the giant world.
Hair not lustrous enough to be in the centre of talks.
Yet she walked with a smile, a rather stubborn smile, always sharpening her darts, waiting for the perfect moment to launch it and pierce their minds and release herself from the world of self judgments.
