Alfred's POV~

I sat on the bus patiently (meaning totally impatiently) on the way to our new school. I ended up sitting next to this quiet kid who was holding his pet rabbit (it's an AU so we're saying it's a rabbit instead of a polar bear). I looked over at him and decided to ask why he had a rabbit.

"Why do you have a rabbit?" I asked.

(That was the most blatantly obvious question in the whole world XD)

He looked surprised that I was talking to him.

"I-I um, he's my pet and he c-comes w-with me everywhere." He stuttered out.

I smiled "Oh cool! So what's your name?"

"Matthew Williams. W-what's yours?"

"Alfred F. Jones. So are you excited to start this whole middle school exchange thingy?" I said, putting my hand on my lunch box really hoping to quickly grab something from it.

"I-I guess b-but I don't really know."

"Well that's cool. I guess we're all a little scared." I replied smiling.

Matthew seemed cool. He resembled me a lot except his hair was a slightly lighter blonde and he had a curl on his head and place of my cowlick.

"We're almost there kids." Said a really old and southern sounding bus driver.

"Woo!" Everyone seemed to cheer from the pure excitement, even Matthew smiled a little.

"Wow. This place is awesome, just not as awesome as me." Said some kid when we got off the bus. He had platinum blonde hair and violet eyes that seemed to have hints of red.

"Shut up Gibert." Said a taller, buffer blonde haired man standing next to him. "I still find it hard to believe that we're brothers." I giggled a little at that comment. Angry kid glanced at me.

"What're you laughing at?" He said. His blue eyes regarded me in an unreadable way, almost as if he was trying to plot how many many ways he could kill me.

"Oh um nothing. I'm Alfred by the way." I slapped on a smile with that last remark hoping he wouldn't beat the absolute living crap out of me.

"I'm Ludwig, this is my annoying brother Gilbert." Thank god he didn't kill me.

We all walked into our new middle school.
